Highly recommend this salon, especially for those with wavy to curly hair. I was struggling to find a good stylist for my daughter with that hair type. I got recommended Salon Patine for our hair care needs. The receptionist was very patient and sweet. She had recommended Andrea as our stylist. Andrea did an amazing job with my daughter’s hair. Helping define her natural waves and instructing me on how to do this from home. I now feel well informed on proper hair care and my daughter is inlove with the look.

Zaira did an amazing job with my perm! She listened to exactly what I wanted and executed it perfectly. I have gotten so many compliments since getting it done! Will be going back!

Where do I even start!
- She left me with wet hair because she “ran out of time”. Took $20 off a $200 service because apparently I don’t pay for the blow dry piece I pay for the hair dye. HORRIFIC.
- I explained that I’m pregnant and wanted the lowest exposure to scalp as possible - she didn’t apply foil, she got hair dye all over my scalp, my ears and believe it or not cherry on top in my eye
- Whatever product they used (or maybe because they didn’t use the proper protective measures)made my hair completely break
- Got home and realized she cut my bangs completely wrong (literally lob sided), which I didn’t notice as I was walking out with drenched wet hair
There’s more folks:
- got hair dye on my $300 pants
- All while being completely rude and not saying a word to me the entire time
I’ve never actually left a review (let alone a bad review) but given I found this place through Google reviews I figured I should.

I’ve been coming to this salon for about a year now and Zaira is always doing her best to give me exactly what my hair needs! She is extremely kind and attentive to everything I ask for. She is on time and performs my services in a timely manner. I truly appreciate her as a stylist who listens to me and can do what I ask. So happy to have her be my stylist!!! Thank you Salon Patine!!

Charlie has done an AMAZING job on my hair both times! She was able to get my hair looking just like the reference photos. She is so talented and fun to talk to! Also GREAT atmosphere at Salon Patine and reasonable prices! There is a reason they are voted Best in Santa Barbara every year. I will keep going to Charlie for as long as she’ll have me!

5 stars just doesn't seem like enough - Susan gave me one of the best haircuts I've ever had, maybe the best of all time. I can't express how ecstatic I am with the results of my haircut and just spending that short time with her was a pleasure. The consultation alone was an absolute breeze, and the staff is VERY knowledgeable. The booking was easy and they got me in very soon compared to other salons - the website clearly showed where parking is, and upon arrival I was greeted and offered a free beverage. The salon was incredibly inviting, their product selection is massive and I just can't rave enough about how great my experience was. Thank you!

I made an appointment with the expectation that the website said haircuts were $56. I was placed with a stylist who wasn't very friendly, didn't listen to what I was asking for, and who I had to ask multiple times for her to even it out. Then I was charged $76 before tip. There was nothing exceptional about the experience, it's not in a nice place, there's no parking, nothing screamed $50 + haircut let alone $76. I will not be coming back and feel scammed and taken advantage of. Ultimately the haircut is fine, but nothing to write home about.

I’ve been a long-time client of Patine Salon, regularly coming in for haircuts, color, and treatments. I’ve always made sure to be respectful, show up on time, and tip generously. Despite my loyalty and professionalism, I’ve repeatedly left the salon feeling dismissed and uncomfortable, and it’s reached a point where I can no longer stay silent. Over time, I’ve worked with several hairdressers at Patine. While I’ve generally liked their work, I’ve noticed a pattern in how differently I’m treated compared to other clients.. especially white clients who are welcomed with warmth and friendliness. In contrast, I’m often met with coldness or indifference, despite always treating everyone with kindness and respect.
There was a miscommunication with a previous stylist, Natalie, when I tried to book a new appointment directly with her through Instagram. I felt ignored, and while I admit I was upset and expressed my frustration, I ultimately decided to move on to another stylist, Andrea. Since then, I’ve felt a shift. It’s hard not to wonder if there’s been some kind of ganging up on me. At my most recent appointment, Andrea shampooed my hair so roughly that it hurt, scratching my scalp with her nails and without once asking if I was okay or if the water temperature was comfortable. She didn’t use any visible treatment or product afterward, and the entire service felt cold and careless. There was barely any conversation, and I left the salon feeling not only physically sore but emotionally drained. I understand that stylists can be friends and support each other, but those friendships should never come before treating clients with dignity and professionalism. I am a paying client who trusted this salon with my hair and expected to be treated with care. No one deserves to feel mistreated or dismissed for race or ethnicity, especially after showing up with respect and loyalty. I’m sharing this in the hope that management reflects on how clients are being treated and whether internal dynamics among staff are negatively impacting the experience for people who simply want to feel welcome and cared for. I’ll be posting it on other platforms and in local Santa Barbara groups to create awareness. I switched to Andrea hoping for better treatment, only to realize she and Natalie are close friends that explains a lot. The passive-aggressive behavior, and the coldness toward certain clients create a toxic environment that needs to be addressed.

Thank you Charlie!! I had the best cut and full balayage a few weeks ago and I’m still in awe of how well it turned out. I went in for a consultation first and I knew I was in great hands. Charlie did a fabulous blonde balayage on my dark brown hair. I’ve had my hair colored a few times before and the results have never been this good! It turned out the be the exact blonde I wanted and looks so natural and fun.

Suzan did my hair exactly as I wanted and made sure my curls came out with my natural flow. It was a pixie cut even after 2 weeks of growing out it still looks fantastic!
I absolutely love my new hair cut!

A cute little salon that offers personal service, very professional and reasonably priced. I went there for my wedding care and they did a fantastic job. I highly recommend them and the stylist Nathalie.

I recently had a wonderful experience at Salon Pantine in Santa Barbara. Blair, the owner, has created a salon where integrity and customer satisfaction are top priorities. I worked with Brie, a talented and creative colorist, who took the time to ensure my color was absolutely perfect. She worked with great care to protect my super fine hair, using techniques that prioritized its health. I was so happy with the result that I ended up hugging Blair! I’ve now found my forever colorist in Brie. Highly recommend!

Andrea was the best! I came in after being not happy with a cut from another stylist (not at Salon Patine) and she saved my hair! She listened to me and cut it perfectly. Even my coworkers noticed how much better it looked!!
