So what's better than history, culture, food and a vibrant street scene? ART! Located directly next to the historic Arlington Theatre on State Street is this roomie serene art gallery. The breath of interesting works is quite remarkable and this gallery offers a rich and rewarding start to your adventure on State Street. One of the featured artists, Richard Schloss may actually be painting behind the scenes in the gallery. How cool that? Some of his works feature the other worldly qualities of rainy conditions around the area. They are deeply interesting and atmospheric! The staff is super laid back, knowledgeable and very in tune with the artists featured in their gallery. This rich experience was further enhanced by the adorable dog that accompanies the owners to work and has run of the gallery. The paintings in this gallery were amazing and you could certainly build a room or house around some of them!State Street is an experience like no other and this Art Gallery made it even more so. A must stop for anyone in the area!-G

Wow! What an incredible experience walking into this gallery was. Upon walking in my husband and I received a genuine and warm welcome from Julie and her sweet furbaby. Right away we noticed the art was breathtaking and the studio clean and spacious. Richard Schloss’s ability to capture light and mood in his work is jaw dropping and awe inspiring. As an artist myself, I was thrilled to learn he wrote a book on his methods and Mr. Schloss was kind enough to sign it for me! Before I left Julie shared some of the gallery’s history with me as well as some upcoming shows, and recommended some local SB spots to visit. I am so appreciative of their time and their wholesomeness. I will be back!

Nice collection, unpleasant and unfriendly woman working there who looked like she wants us to leave.PS adding to the gallery's response, the boy in question was autistic with a fear of dogs and was simply trying to get away from the dog that kept following him. The gallery worker made no attempt to call the dog off, even when we explained to her that he is autistic and scared. It seemed that the dog was more important than a customer.I am a local artist who also works in a gallery myself, and this is not how I treat customers walking in.

This friendly gallery is awesome! Gorgeous paintings! The owners shared with me how some of the local artists have created their paintings, and has wonderful stories of so many of these beautiful creations. I was struck by what a welcoming environment they have in this gallery. Sometimes galleries can feel quite stuffy. But this one felt very home-like. And it couldnt be in a more perfect location in Downtown.
