Useless, not a real pharmacy. What pharmacy “doesn’t accept new patients”. Don’t go here, just go to your regular CVS

Don't waste your time on this place. It's not much of a pharmacy. It has no quality product selection and no leadership what so ever. It's completely rundown and needs a remodel.

This is a great little pharmacy, sort of old fashioned. They are pretty much just a pharmacy, so you don't have rows of groceries and hardware and stuff (though there was a selection of the most useful over the counter medicines too). The surgeon gave us a paper prescription, which the national chain pharmacy wouldn't accept, but the Medicine Shoppe took the time to read the prescription and fill it. Then, the pharmacist clearly explained the times for doses and whether to take with food. You probably wouldn't go to see a doctor in the middle of a grocery store, so you might prefer this place, as do I.

Needed to fill monthly prescription that my usual pharmacy couldn't fill as they were having supplier issues. Medicine Shoppe was so kind and thorough. They checked their stock to ensure they can fill. They checked my insurance coverage verify they are a provider. They even called back within minutes to clarify that I should return to my usual pharmacy next month. Professional friendly and knowledgeable. I'll follow up when I pick up if I have more to add.

Looking for that "small town feel" in a pharmacy? Tired of standing on-masse in stale CVS/Right Aid/Walgreens & worrying you'll have to deal with an insurance issue EVERY TIME you pick up meds? Fed up with long lines of people in the same position, all worrying you're catching God knows what from each other whilst you all stand there together pulling up your GoodRX apps? Look no further that friendly, knowledgeable, Medicine Shoppe LOWER State St. ex: The prescription portion of my insurance folded into one of the aforementioned chains above & neglected to let their insured know about the switch. Fortunately, the team at Medicine Shoppe not only figured it out, they explained the situation to me and spent TWO DAYS tracking down all of my benefits so I never have to worry if suddenly meds I'm buying are "in or out" of my "coverage zone". (huh???!!!) I asked the incredibly conscientious young man there how on Earth he had time to figure all of this out & he basically said, "This is an important part what we do. It's a smaller pharmacy so we take pride in handling these often confusing things, for our customers." He then asked if I'd like to pick up my meds or have them delivered (for $7). (Because the parking lot can be a bit cramped, I always take them up on delivery.) Bottom line...you can't go wrong switching to Medicine Shoppe imo. I liken the pharmacy at CVS to the hot dog stand at Dodger Stadium during the 7th inning stretch. Medicine Shoppe by comparison brings your hot dog to you, with a napkin, a friendly smile & then tells you the proper way to eat it.

They will group all your medications for the month all at once. Either pick them up or get them delivered for a very small fee.One fee or one trip much more convenient.

I was here to pick up a prescription. left outside unattended for close to an hour. 1 very rude employee came outside to ask the same questions I answered with her other colleague. I will not want to be a customer here. No sense of customer service rather treat you like they are doing you a favor.

I have always been impressed with this business. From my first visit I realized that this business was a place that had friendly staff, very good prices, and got things right. If an error occurs they take care of it immediately. I’ve been to other pharmacy’s. I had to put up with mistakes that seemed easily resolved, but kept happening. This is by far the best pharmacy I’ve been to.

I used to go to this pharmacy regularly, and the employees were generally friendly/polite enough. I didn't have any real complaints back then. Recently, after years passed without picking up a single prescription, I went back to pick one up. The lady who was working was weird, for lack of a better word to describe her, and I didn't realize until I got home that they no longer had my insurance on file. She sold me the medication at the generic price without bothering to ask me for updated insurance info. What in the world? It was only an $11 prescription so no big loss, but on the principle of it, I will never go back. I wanted to go with the smaller pharmacy, but I guess smaller doesn't necessarily mean run better. They need a serious refresher in customer service.

This pharmacy could definitely use some better customer service and try a bit harder to make it a positive experience to use the local pharmacy instead of the big box stores. I've noticed that this pharmacy is regularly out of stock on medications that are ordinary, and aren't very helpful about it or apologetic. I got the general feeling that the employees here couldn't care less about how they come across to the customers. The wait time is too long, the communication isn't that friendly, and I almost felt judged by the pharmacist, which felt pretty unprofessional. I will be transferring my prescriptions to a more convenient and better quality pharmacist.

The price and service is right. Beats Federal by plenty of daylight. One billing error quickly resolved correctly. No blister charge puts them way out in front of ripoff Federal. I'll never look back.
