“Cannot say enough good things about Kevin who runs the shop. He personally attended to my 2002 Mustang GT's problem regarding long overdue replacement of the intake manifold which had been leaking into the coils, spark plugs and culinders for at least 2000 miles and more than a year. His rates are the best, he knows his stuff and he kept costs down while properly repairing the engine. He did thorough work without padding costs, even offsetting extra labor such as flushing out filthy, yellowish, rusty coolant that is supposed to be green. He is my permanent go-to guy now. ...Several months later...superb job, Kevin. Other mechanics look at the quality of the installation and repair of manifold, spark plugs, coils, etc. and marvel with a bit of jealousy. Had a new problem with repair/replacement of starter. Poor car has required a slew of jumpstarts and is showing its age but Kevin breathes new life into her. Godsend to have found him. Goes beyond what is required to keep my Mustang literally running.”

“I found JVS through a trip to AutoZone to use their scanner to read a check engine light code that popped up on my dash. I asked for a mechanic rec and thus began the first of a few trips to have Jose and his son Junior work on my 03 Chevy Tahoe.

The major work they have done: replaced my transfer case and not long after, my transmission. I also bring her in for routine oil changes and tire rotations. I'd much rather support a local small business in town than take to a JiffyLube and hard hell no on taking to a dealership where the customer has to pay more for the same services to cover the dealerships overhead costs.

They have done a fantastic job at helping keep her (Tessie) going, their prices are extremely fair, they answer all of my questions with complete honesty and I can always get her in asap which is so necessary for me as I use my car for my business and am constantly driving up and down the California coast. This Tahoe has been in my family for 23 years, its been used to tow a boat to Lake Tahoe every summer for 20 of those years, lots of car camping and for the past couple of years it's been my constant companion in supporting me and my business (so yeah we have memories and are quite attached). We are nearing 300k miles and I have no plans to let go of her and have COMPLETE confidence in the work they do.
