I've been coming to this station for eight years and never had an issue. In the past year, after the pumps with tap-to-pay were installed, it suddenly refuses to let me pay at the pump with my card and always tells me to go inside. Of course inside, the cashier always asks me "how much do you want"- I want a full tank of gas. I don't know how much that's going to come to. That's why I want to pay at the pump. And we have this back and forth every. single. time.
I've spoken to them about this four times now- at first they claimed I scanned my card wrong, then told me it was the weather, now they're just telling me "I don't know why it does that" without making any effort to resolve it. This gas station is right next to where I live. I don't want to go out of my way to another gas station just to get a full tank of gas. I would like them to fix their machines, please.

Ran out of fuel across the street; walked into shop (there are 2, smog & mech) owner informs me they dont have a gas can, (surely they do at the back of the shop, but "no") "buy one next door". 76 sells me a $20 - 1gal plastic gas can. I use it and had to rip it apart to get it unstuck from the gas inlet in my car. No refund for the faulty can, "sorry sir"
"Great service" if defined by getting royally ripped off. Takes a lot for me to leave a negative review. "Congratulations".
Response: I absolutely have not and did not "threaten" or "extort" anyone. In fact, I was quite courteous to the employee, commenting that none of it was her responsibility or fault, since she clesrly did not make policy or price items. I did receive a faulty gas can. The nozzle ripped out when trying to remove from the car after finally getting it to put the single gallon of fuel in the car. The poor policies and "excuse" of not wanting "liability" for helping someone is inexcusable. To my knowledge, this is the only negative review I've left, which its self says something. YOU as the business owner are at fault for not wanting to "be a good neighbor" and help others, instead charging 4x the value of a product available elsewhere. In fact, it is YOU who extort, and now threaten my integrity as a diversion to covering your own lack of the same. This will be the last I waste time on you and your sorry overcharging station.

my go to gas station and smog check place while commuting to and from the office. they are conveniently located on the corner which makes it easy to access. Also having a small, but good variety of snacks is a def plus. Gas prices here isn't that bad compared to the next closest alternatives; so you know the quality and pricing is good.
speaking of which need to schedule an oil change for me

my go to gas station and smog check place while commuting to and from the office. they are conveniently located on the corner which makes it easy to access. Also having a small, but good variety of snacks is a def plus. Gas prices here isn't that bad compared to the next closest alternatives; so you know the quality and pricing is good.

This is located in a busy intersection. Prices seem to be on the higher side but still stopped off here since it was convenient. They have a small convenience store and smog center. Was happy to see that they did have napkins and contactless payment.

Come with cash, or consider rerouting your next fillup. Wasted 15 min here today!Franchised as 76 on maps but actually privately owned - with the goal to get you to go inside to pay via cash claiming the "machines don't work in the rain." Tried two cards outside, got a "transaction canceled see cashier" alert. Cashier comes out to "helpfully" tell me "it's the weather, it's raining, the machines don't work in the weather, try another another card" and same issue for the next card but each time he's slipping in "you want to come inside, come inside, pay cash?" Well I don't have cash, and the world is going cashless for a reason. Merchant processing fees are now the price of doing business; if you don't want to deal with them remove all readers and put a big sign out front that says CASH ONLY. Don't play these games.Now I have to hunt for a mask and get my purse and he starts hovering over me trying to rush me to come inside and I have to tell him to give me 5 minutes before he gives me the space to actually do that at my pace.I come in and as expected, somehow the counter reader also is failing because of the weather. I explicitly say, "if it doesn't work here I will just go to Chevron down the street, whose machines inside and outside have no problem working in the rain, I am not going to go get cash for this, gas stations can and do function in the rain." Of course it doesn't work, he apologizes and says "You can pay cash, but yeah, Chevron it works, it's just 76 that has this problem." No it doesn't - 76 on El Camino has had no problem filling my tank up in the rain in over 10 years and processing the exact same cards.

Been here a few times to smog my truck, this time around the techs pushed me to leave the vehicle as it was supposedly an hour+ to perform the smog inspection, so I left to grab some food. After moving the vehicle to the smog bay, they called and said the vehicle won't start, so I make my way over and the tech is lurking in the engine bay. I check out the ignition system and they pulled the ignition coil wire off the distributor and tucked in under the air filter housing. These folks tried to pull a fast one, I'm sure they've taken advantage of many other people. I will never go there again for gas or smog, STAY AWAY from this place, you will thank me.

VERY happy with the kind employees and great service. Needed a smog check and as usual, I waited until the last minute. They took me right away, no waiting, and it was a great experience start to finish.
