Placed an order for some drives. A week went by and we didn't receive any updates. Tried to log into their website but the site was down. Called them and they said the item was on back-order and that their site was hacked.

Do not buy from here! They do not have most products in stock and try to send you "replacement" items (bait and switch). I tried talking to them over the phone but Lilly the "operator" hung up and blocked my number for asking for a confirmation on cancellation. Such a scam and waste of time. This was B2B and no where near "pros serving pros"

Mixed bag experience with building a Home Lab.They do not process returns or changes. Make sure you are getting exactly what you want initially.Hardware works and the price is good there.Acme Micro let me know there was a shortage and long lead time on purchase - Good.Acme Micro recommended alternative case+MB+PSU combo, which I thought would meet my needs based on specs. We did discuss via email the use case and it would NOT be for multi-GPU and more HDD focus. Apparently their engineer made the recommendation, so I'd question his ability to evaluate requirements. - Fair to Middling Support/KnowledgeableBuild Quality - Build quality was good. Cables were routed efficiently and out of the way. They do use zip ties on electrical cables, which can lead to damage if one is too aggressive with cable management.Once the hardware arrived, it did not meet requirements. The case could accommodate 4x 3.5" drives, the MB could support 8x 3.5" drives (which was my target requirement). The PSU only had plugs for 2x SATA and was 1200W for a 4x GPU setup.Acme Micro's recommended work around was for me to purchase an additional ~$150 in accessories from them. Drive cage add-on for 2.5" drives (again, missing the 3.5" requirement) and additional PSU cable converters from 4 PIN Molex to SATA.I'm just going to pawn the PSU and Case. I can pick up a pro-sumer option for the same price that will run more efficiently and quieter than their option.I should have just purchased the MB+CPU+RAM combo and would have saved myself a couple hundred dollars of wasted expense and effort.

These folks are great to deal with, look there are people complaining about service and returns, etc. If that what you need go to Bob's house of parts.. Acme Micro are Pros serving Pros !! Found me server parts that no one else could or had. Great service and competitive prices..

I suspect the other reviews were from consumers who thought this was a PC supplier, but Acme Micro is not setup for the consumer market, it is a B2B supplier. We have used Acme Micro to build high end custom servers for over ten years now and they have never let us down. The build quality, service and responsiveness has always been excellent and their prices reasonable. If you want a custom built rack-mount server, ECC RAM, etc, there is no one better.

They don't ship on time, they don't communicate well, and they don't accept returns.

Don't bother with these people. The can't seem to figure out how to put computers together. Moreover, waste my time chasing them for two weeks with only excuses, empty promises and lies. I had to complain to both PayPal and my credit card company just to get this resolved.Never ever ever again will I be ordering from them
