Went there for my driver's test after hearing it was less strict than the S. Jose DMV, and it is. Testing instructors are not the happiest but it's a government job so it's fine as long as they try to stay impartial. Patty at the front reception for driver test check-ins was a very nice lady, she seemed very enthusiastic, despite having a government job, was very nice, gave me little tips for my test, and congratulated me after I passed my driver's test.

Some employees have room temperature IQ, but others are pretty nice, understanding, and humorous; your level of service essentially depends on unknown factors, which is terrible for a government facility designed to cater to the masses. Deserves negative stars if possible, excluding those few nice employees who actually care about customer service.Bring something to do for the long waiting time.

It looks like most people more or less had similar bad experiences with the staff as I had. My experience was even horrible! The guard and security staff appeared to be racist, rude, and unfriendly. Basically, they don't know what they are doing. There is no consistency on anything nor any clear instructions on what to do next. I wonder if these security people even have minimum education at all! This is not the service we people pay taxes and vehicle fees for every year!! But, the white lady officer at the counter-17 was actually well-behaved, modest, and helpful.Overall, I don't recommend this DMV to anyone. I would ask others to report immediately to the higher authority or police if they face any misbehavior or discrimination in the future from any security staff from this DMV.

The worst Dmv to go to. Staff are unfriendly, lines are long, facility is old, and did I mention the staff are rude?

Is there a negative star?Ah, the dreaded DMV, where dreams of efficiency go to die! It's like entering a maze where the walls are made of red tape and the exit is guarded by grumpy gatekeepers. I park my car, hoping for a quick in-and-out, only to be greeted by a DMV old Asian gentleman who's crankier than a rusty jalopy. After what feels like an eternity, I finally muster the courage to approach a slightly less grumpy middle-aged woman DMV employee, who said she'll assist me next. But alas, when she returns, she spouts off some misinformation that I know is about as accurate as a fortune cookie prediction.Undeterred, I politely point out her error, prompting her to summon her boss. And what do I get? More of the same nonsense! But I'm not about to let them off the hook that easily. I challenge them like a knight facing a dragon, and suddenly, their tune changes faster than a kid on a sugar rush.In the end, after 50 minutes of my life wasted, I walk out with nothing more than a statement and a strong urge to never return. So here's a tip for anyone brave enough to venture into the DMV: Bring snacks, bring a book, and most importantly, bring your sense of humor, because you're in for one heck of a bureaucratic adventure!

They need to spend some money (quit stealing it) and find a better way to do this. Total waist of time.

Employees here are excellent and efficient, the PROCESS of getting a DL Renewal combined with a REAL ID is horrendous. You have to wait forever even though you joined the DMV online wait list and received your number from them & routine updates via text on what number in the line you are. After being called up to a window (windows 1-29) and after the fingerprinting, ID verification documents (birth docs/naturalization form, 2x utility bills and/or a bank statement + your old DL) are scanned/copied & the ridiculously easy eye test (which the guy in front of me kept failing at, lol) is done and after you pay the $45 + $0.95 processing fee, you then wait in an extensively long "C" line to get your new 10 yr license/ID photo taken, after that you move right onto YET ANOTHER long line called line "D" to get your temporary license (why a temporary license is needed is confusing as mine doesn't expire until March). They tell you that you'll receive your new REAL ID DL in "10-15 BUSINESS DAYS". Great. This is how 2 hrs were spent at the DMV on Friday 02.09.24 :/

Most of the time long lines and un-friendly counter staff. The counter staff unnecessarily furious about anything.

Maybe i just had good luck of going on good days? I've never had bad service given the huge number of people they have to deal with and the workers are knowledgeable on what needs to be done. Just make sure you have ample time to stand in line, or have an appointment , to get help in time and you should be good.

Did the Vehicle verification , short line on Friday morning maybe because of the rain. Wednesday as of now the line starts at 9 instead of 8.
