horrible customer service. today I had my worst experience in a rental car after more than 500 cars rented in past 10 years. However All my past rentals were from Enterprise. My rental number is: 107694764I dont believe Hertz was what i experienced. I need an attention from management on this issue.there was a lady in this branch working at 1 pm on 3/25/2024 who didnt provide her name to me.She was very disrespectful and while she used a few very bad words that I hesitate writing them here. Then I requested the management and she told there is no manager. Then I asked what is her name to report it to the Hertz customer service. But she again used some bad words and didnt provide her name.the issue was I had my paid reservation from another branch for EV where the branch didnt have electric vehicle. Then they told me to pick up a dodge from there and come to this branch and swap it here with an EV. Because in the system it was showing this branch has surplus EVs available to rent for 1 pm today.In the branch one of the employees started showing me multiple EVs and he told me to pick and i picked an EV with full charge from many cars were available. Then after sometime a lady told she cant give me an EV because my original reservation is from another branch. While she had over 20 EVs available to rent for personal and business reasons. Then I told her Hertz told me I can take EV from your branch because you have too many available. But she said she doesnt care about what Hertz told me. She will not swap the car because original reservation is not from their branch. Then she used a few bad words while she was laughing and told me to go out of the branch. I was very calm and respectful and I left the branch. But I felt embarrassed between people there and a customer cane outside and told me she is very upset about what she just saw and she also said she is going to report how that employee treated me there. I told her I will also report this to ensure this employee wont impact on Hertz reputation negatively. My rental number is: 107694764I hope someone from Hertz sees this review and pulls my info and calls me.

I just called today and i want to ask something about my rental and the lady on the phone is soo rude im just asking a simple question and she is not having a good day i think because my question that im going to ask she wants to answer it but its not what im asking for and she is in a hurry i dont know why she is in the hurry im sorry but its not professional way to answer a phone call that way i dont know her name but she is rude unprofessional. If i could give 0 star review i would. If she cant answer the phone correctly then she needs to find another job. I never ever encounter such a rude person on the phone before. So rude and she need to chill if she is having a bad day im sorry but if your at work do it professionaly if she doesnt like her job then quit and find some job that you really like simple.

The manager at this branch is very rude. Not even take a minute to let the customer explain his/her point. There’s an unexplained animosity with this person.

No customer service! I and the hertz salesman from Santa Clara walked into the small trailer type office to rent a used Tesla thru the rent to buy program. 5-8 people were sitting around, casually talking with a little profanity. No one greeted us for a few minutes. Finally an agent offered to help, but didn’t tell us that their computer systems had been down for a few hours. No hello, no apology.I took off work to drive over, went home and returned an hr later when the system was back up. The same team was there and didn’t acknowledge me at all even when I reminded them I was there an hr before. Service would have been better interacting with a touchscreen, never renting from here again.

I had a similar experience with the Manager, Zachary. Does not listen. Hangs up the phone on people. I am Hertz VIP forever and I wasn’t treated with respect or courtesy.

Worst customer service I have ever received at any Hertz location. Being a President’s Circle member they still made me wait in queue, did not give me a car even though they had one just because my reservation was new (whats the point of president’s circle then).Extremely rude staff.Ps- I called and checked with them before making a reservation and at the time of picking the car they straight away said we never received your call.LIARS.

The manager at this location, Zachary, is the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had at a car rental. He was extremely rude, talking over me as I spoke and hung up the phone when I claimed they tried to incorrectly charge me for a fuel recharge. Hertz is usually a good company to work with but this location did not have the Tesla I reserved a month in advance, made some promises to keep my business (including the gas tank on them, so no need to refuel) but then the manager did not want to honor the commitments made. In reading the other reviews, it sounds like my incident is not isolated. I’d recommend looking at other locations instead of this one.

This hertz site is the worst. I scheduled a vehicle drop off at their on sight drop off here at work. True to form they did not drop off the vehicle. Pre-pandemic they where hit and miss. Seems that nothing has changed. Management at that site forever sets them up to fail as they are forever short staffed. It is always a roll of the dice when renting from this location. Always need to call ahead to confirm my rental and that it will be dropped off in a timely fashion. Also when dropping off confirm that they put your vehicle back in the system as returned as I have been burned in past as well for them not marking it returned.

For starters, I got there, and they tried to give me a Tesla that had major scratches and a damaged bumper on the front. I Thought it was ridiculous and told them there’s no way I’m going to pay this much money to drive that damaged car.They understood and gave me a different car. Everything seemed good and I signed off and got inside the car ready to go and bam, the car had errors. It said cruise control is unavailable and certain features are unavailable. I was a bit disappointed as cruise control is extremely helpful, especially on freeway drives, and so they swapped the car again.Then finally, the 3rd car seemed great, a little scratches here and there but acceptable barely. But they gave it to me with only 10% of battery left. I figured, well, it could be worse so I just accepted that.Then, the next day, an error popped up that says “park assist degraded, distances may be inaccurate”, something like that. This effects the cruise control and sometimes randomly disables cruise control mid freeway drive.I let it be for a couple weeks because I didn’t want to be “that annoying customer” so I decide to deal with it. And then finally a few weeks passed by and it started getting annoying and cruise control would randomly disable on the freeway.I tried calling this Hertz location so I can get it swapped again, especially since it says “distances may be inaccurate”, which is a safety concern to me and disallows me to trust cruise control.And this is where the concerning issue arrived:I asked the lady who answered if I can swap it out and she asked why and I explained the issue and she said “No, we can’t”. I asked why and she did not want to give me a reason. I had to ask multiple times and she just kept saying “No” and she tried super hard to click on me but my question was left unanswered so she forced me to insist, “please does not click on me” I was forced to say.And then finally she said, “we won’t swap it, we don’t have any Tesla’s in stock”. I was like ah okay, finally, so the issue is simply they don’t have any Teslas in stock, I understand. But given the nature of her “rudeness, the hesitation to answer why, and the obvious attempts to try to hang up on me” it was a bit hard to believe this or it was too “coincidental” that they “didn’t have any Tesla’s in stock” and I wanted further clarification and I asked okay, “so the issue is not that you can’t swap it, the issue is that you guys simply don’t have any Teslas in stock?” And she didn’t want to answer that question and she just kept saying we “won’t swap it” and “we don’t know when we will get more” and once again she tried clicking on me but my issue was still unresolved so once again I had to insist on her not clicking on me.I obviously understand that they “may” not have teslas in stock so I asked, “okay, if I make a reservation for whenever one is available, I shouldn’t have an issue getting the Tesla swapped since the issue seems to be an inventory issue” and she was silent and then the manager took over and he said “No, we will not swap your Tesla” and I asked why, is it not a stock issue then? Why won’t you? I’m paying for this car and I can’t even use cruise control (a very helpful feature) plus it says distance may be inaccurate which is a safety concern of mine. I’m paying for a service and I should at least receive a vehicle that works fine with zero issues right? Or Am I wrong? Please tell me if I’m wrong, I’m an understanding guy.Then the guy , who I think is the manager said “Well we are not going to swap it. You can return the car and get a Tesla somewhere else, and then just clicked on me.”Like bro? What the heck just happened? I just want a car with zero issues, is that too much to ask for?

My last experience with Hertz rental was terrible. Foremost, I had done my booking for the Santa Clara Marriott location. Apparently, Hertz doesn't serve there anymore. After staying on call with Hertz Customer Service for almost an hour, I was told that I have to go to the Walsh location for pickup.At the Walsh location, I requested an upgrade for Tesla Model 3 (from my original booking of Manager's Special EV). I was charged an extra $5 per day for this upgrade even though I am a President Circle's member. It turns out the Climate Control on the car was broken. When I went for a replacement, the location didn't have a comparable car and suggested that I go to an airport location.Frustrated with the experience, I drove to the SF airport location but decided to cancel the further extension. At this point, I was told to pay a $150 intercity fee reduced to $50 because of the inconvenience. The manager was kind enough to tell me that I was at the wrong because I was trying to do an intercity drop and that he was being nice and giving me $100 off.I wouldn't recommend renting from Hertz at all. They really don't know how to take care of the customers.
