Star Smog Check Santa Clara provides smog testing and certification. Reviews describe the service as fast, friendly, efficient, and professional, with some customers reporting being in and out in about 15 to 20 minutes. Staff are noted as helpful, kind, polite, and capable, offering thorough assessments and explaining the process. The experience is generally positive, with customers recommending it as a go-to place. However, wait times can sometimes reach an hour if only one person is working. While a competitive Groupon price is offered, it may not apply to all vehicles, potentially leading to a higher final cost. The business does not require appointments. Overall, it is considered an honest shop with speedy customer service.

In and out in about 15 mins. No appointments. No one ahead of me. Fast, friendly and efficient and $10 cheaper than the guys around the corner.

Daniel was nice and polite. He did a smog test for us in 20 minutes and explained why it took longer than usual(my out of state plate number is 8 digits so he couldn’t enter it into the system). Used a Groupon coupon with no issue. Will come back again.
