I am trying to help because I believe it's not good cause. However I do not recommend buying from the shop. I bought an item for my wife which turned out to be the wrong size. Went back to the shop to return it and they said they do not accept returns. I can understand. I then offered to exchange it for a different item even at a higher cost. They did not accept that either. So once you buy from the shop you're pretty much stuck with it if it works or it doesn't you're taking a chance. Make sure you really want the item you see if not it's a waste of money. Trying to do good it's gonna cost you.

This thrift store was located next to another one I was looking for while thrifting in Camarillo this past week. The Discovery Shop is run by American Cancer Society, since I've lost my mom and brother and so many family members from cancer, I went in hoping to find something good and do my good deed for the day.Well, for a thrift store geared towards raising money towards fighting cancer, there was little inventory! Just a few clothes racks in the center of the store, plus a few shelving units with a few dishes and what not for sale.I ended up finding a small candy dish, and i was really hoping to find anything that would make sense for me to buy, but the small dish was all i found, so my big $2 purchase may not help much, but better then nothing. This place accepts donations of gently used items. If you or a loved one has ever had cancer, you know how important medical researching is towards maybe someday finding a cure, donations help these things happen! So next time you have a bunch of donatable items, maybe consider bringing your items here instead of Goodwill or Salvation Army? Do your good deed!

Great service. I pulled my car up to the front, unloaded, and they came out with a cart to take all of my donations. I quickly was given a donation receipt, then was on my way.
