Their quality is fantastic but their best attribute is the customer service by far. They have bent over backwards on several occasions to get me out of a bind or last minute request. This was an absolutely amazing experience as far as customer service, companies should take note on what King Henry's has accomplished!
About a week ago I went in to a local gas station, I picked this gas station because it is a little cheaper than the one across the street but more importantly because they carry King Henry's snacks there.
I bought a pack of their king size licorice bites, of course I was so excited to get my hands on them that I couldn't resist the urge to open them as I walked to my vehicle.
As I opened the package like I normally do I messed up and ripped the plastic package down the side, spilling a good amount of it on the ground.
Almost shedding a tear I walked back inside and stood for a few minutes, waiting for the owner to finish up with another customer so I could explain the situation.
I finally told the owner what had happened and asked if I could possibly get another bag, in my mind since it was a $3 bag of candy and I had been a loyal customer there for years I figured they would understand.
"You spill it, not my problem" was their response, I was thoroughly shook to my core, in all my years working in the customer service industry I had always been told to just replace the item if something like this had happened.
I said "ok!" and decided to take my business across the street, I spend at least $100 a week there on gas and always talk to the owner so to me this seemed like a good example of poor customer service.
I got home, infuriated about this whole thing, I decided to contact King Henry's about this situation to see if they where as noble as their packaging indicated.
TO MY AMAZEMENT KING HENRY'S CAME TO THE RESCUE!!
I talked to a customer service representative named Sara, she said they don't normally do this but since I was so enthusiastic about my whole situation that they would send me a few bags on them.
To my delight I received a package today with not one but two packages a red licorice bites, there was a triumphant cheer ringing throughout our household as we all feasted on them.
This is what I'm talking about, THIS is good customer service!
The whole incident was completely my fault but King Henry's and Sara recognized that this was an opportunity to gain a loyal customer!
From this day forth I will seek any store that sells this amazing product and give them my business, I will slay any dragon to obtain the King Henry's products I desire.
King Henry's, thou art too kind, thank you for your candy, tis fit for a king!
