I don't know if it is Mazda, and/or Galpin. However, I will never ever buy a Mazda from Galpin, nor any vehicles from their network. The out of this world maintenance costs are just ridiculous. You have been warned. Zoom zoom. Glad to be out of there.

I live about 68 miles away from this dealership about 3 and a half hours away including traffic for driving. I bought a Certified Used Vehicle with 29k miles on it per my salesman Guillermo and Fernando Sales manager that proper inspection was done on the vehicle, when I got home I encountered an error about the 12v battery needs to charge I called Galpin and Guillermo left voicemails which were never returned. I had the battery replaced myself and pay for a new one, as it was a long drive going back and forth to the dealership.Recently I had the car detailed and noticed that the right front tire had bulged on the sidewall. Called Galpin again and spoke to Guillermo who said was going to call back but never did. I called again and looked for Fernando sales manager who informed me that they do not warranty tires. We never drove the vehicle that far and only had driven a few miles since we got it. I feel that having these type of issues should not be present to Certified Pre-Owned Vehicles as we only owed it for only three weeks. It feels the vehicle was not thoroughly inspected before it was sold as a Certified Pre-Owned Vehicle. Future buyers make sure to inspect or bring a mechanic if you are buying your next Certified Pre-Owned Vehicle from this dealership and do not rely on the documentation they had you sign and acknowledge that the vehicle was inspected.***Update: Guillermo did call back at 5:40 pm that was after the fact that Fernando has informed me about the no warranty on tires.***Update 11-03-23: Neda Vega, Director of Customer Relations has contacted us directly regarding the second issue of the defective tire sidewall bulge. Since we only owned the vehicle for three weeks she has requested upper management to warranty and approve the defective tire. We drove back to the dealership and had Danny Talamantes from Service write up paperwork and take care of the tire replacement with no charge. I have updated my review to three stars. I would have put in five stars if the two issues; the faulty battery as well as the defective tire was taken care of the first time without intervention from management. I wish to take this opportunity to thank Neda Vega who went out of her to take care of the defective tire and Danny Talamentes who was willing and eager to get the service done as quickly as possible.

The service is always comprehensive, on time and reliable. Edward has always been keeping me updated whenever I schedule for a service appointment. One time I had a bad battery which was still under warranty and they accommodated my request to have it replaced even when their schedule was full. Always provided reliable car service whenever I leave my car for maintenance

I was taking my moms car to this dealership for oil changes and whatnot for a warranty we paid for BUT EVERYTIME I went for our free oil change and tune up they got at least $400.00 off me walking out the door. Why? Because I was a single woman traveling by myself who didn't know any better to ask an outside man if this is the correct price for all these "fluid changes". Once my dad moved back in I went back for our annual oil change and they wanted to change every single liquid you can think of under my hood. They wanted $600. I said no thank you and they where very persistent on selling me on "my safety". I still declined. Went home and told my dad what happened. He opened my hood, checked every damn vessel you can think of. My dad (who has rebuilt his own classic cars) said everything was perfect. I didn't drive hardly anywhere so for me it made sense. There was no need to change everything!! There's no reason to replace anything other than the oil every 6 months. Yes they serve you. But no they're not honest. Have a guy with you or know your stuff if you don't want to be coned. Sorry Mazda but your employees are crooks!!!

Went in recently for a Mazda Connect software update for my 2019 CX-5. The update took a little over an hour and I received text message updates on the status with a link to review any additional services needed based on the free diagnostic. Service was excellent from everyone involved as they were welcoming and informative. Although I am not a believer in paying $100 for a proprietary software update that is delivered from a usb stick, the customer service was top notch.

Excellent service. Got my oil change, tire rotation etc for 10K miles service due. Scheduled appointment on their website, super fast and easy. Danny who helped me out was excellent, explained the pricing breakdown in advance, ordered me a shuttle while I was waiting for my car to be done, and overall everyone was very friendly and helpful.Services: Tires

This “service” center does not know anything about service. We arrived for a full service and inspection of our Mazda3. Off the bat the agent was rude and confrontational with my wife regarding whether or not she should pay extra for tire rotation. We often feel that she gets different experience from service because she’s a woman.Over the last few weeks when I was driving her car the steering felt a little tight. Of note, no warning light or other issue has come up. She asked that they just look to see if something was wrong and if we needed to do something further (and pay) for some diagnosis and solution. Obviously if nothing was wrong we would still be paying for the service and inspection ($140). Immediately the agent said that just to look into it would cost an extra $200. Not $200 total but an extra $200 from the $140 they were already charging for a fluids service and general inspection. After my wife told me about the extra cost I came over to try and delineate the need for the extra cost. They were adamant that there was no way to check the steering without the extra cost. I asked if they checked the suspension and function of the car in the general inspection and they said yes but for us to run a diagnosis it would be $200 extra. I said I just want them to tell me if we even need the extra diagnosis based on the inspection. They said they could not do that and if I wanted them to check the steering then it would be a diagnosis and $200 extra.This is actually the second time that we experienced poor service at this location. My wife also went to this location in February of 2022 for a full service and inspection and they did an alignment of the steering without consulting her. This was an additional $140 cost. This is the reason she went into this appointment wary of extra charges (tire rotation etc).Overall, I do NOT recommend going to this place to service your car. They were rude from the get go. They nickle and dime you. They were rude to my wife and I think they got caught trying to take advantage of her.I’ll state that when we bought the car in Tennessee, the Mazda dealer and service center there were brilliant. Always fair and they even allowed you to have a peak into the inspection and exactly what service they were providing. By no means is this an indictment of Mazda but specifically the Galpin Mazda Service Center in North Hills.To say the least, we decided to take our car elsewhere for the service.
