This is a kids and family oriented place with lots of fun things for the whole family. Staff is very friendly and courteous, and the animals are adorable. Thanks for the hospitality, we are planning to keep coming back

The best experience I have ever had! Monica the owner of the farm, truly cares for her animals and it shows. She talks so passionately about them! All the work she does through her farm for the greater good of the community and the kids is truly inspiring. She showed us around, educated us about all her animals. She is also so creative with all the activities they have planned around the farm. The staff is super friendly too.. They have a great archery ? program, which I highly recommend and couple of other classes too. You will definitely feel refreshed and learn so much about how life is all about these simple joys and finding purpose in the work that you do. Thank you Monica for your time and creating such a beautiful paradise! We appreciate you and your team. Highly recommend visiting Gilchrist Farm for both adults and kids! ♥️

It's nice, petting zoo consists of goats and some chickens. They have some food selections and snack tents, and vendors. My daughter loves the pony rides. It's overall such a fun place, I wish they had better music playing.

Great place for families to visit and enjoy the fall time festivities. They have a large petty zoo. The children can ride ponies. You can also buy crafts and also grab a snack. This is a priceless venue for children to have lots of fun. There is no charge to park. There is a small charge for the crafts and rides.

The pumpkin patch was very nicely assembled and the staff was very friendly. It was free to enter and I paid $100 for an all day wristband play pass for 2 kids and adults. It was a nice farm to visit. The wristband included archery, pumpkin decorating, tractor rides, petting zoo, slides, and a maze among other things. The food was reasonably priced at $8 for a cheeseburger. I was just disappointed that all the animals didn't have much space to roam. Especially the rabbits with were in their teeny tiny cages?...

I came with my niece 3 times already. We love coming here. The staff are so friendly and great. It’s always a bit nerve wrecking having young children around animals, but the goats and other animals are really calm and great with kids. My niece and I have been coming since she barely started walking (10m-17m). We’re definitely telling all our friends and we’ll definitely be coming again. Had a blast at the pumpkin patch and butterfly house. There’s tons of activities and new experiences every season.

My family + I love coming to Gilchrist Farm! You can truly feel the family vibes of the staff and animals. We have attended almost every holiday event and random weekend mornings and each time it's the high light of our weekend. I'd especially like to shout out Farmer Sonny, he always welcomes us with a warm smile and you can tell he truly enjoys sharing his love of the farm with others. We have baby 2 on the way and when the name Sonny came up and instantly thought of Farmer Sonny and his genuine heart, we will be naming baby 2, Sonny!

I am giving the farm 2 stars because of the experience at the pony carousel. It was a slow day. We bought a ticket for my granddaughter to ride. She was the only one in line for about 3-4 minutes. When it was her turn, the gir ru ning the carousel looked right past us and said, "can I get the birthday girl". Which was fine. But then the entire birthday party was going to be let without even a word to us. As if we were invisible. I complained at the ticket desk, but was told birthday parties get front of the line. But, a line of one child??!! And without even saying a word explaining why my granddaughter was going to be passed up. Not ok.

The staff at this farm were so nice. We came for a birthday party. My son is 2 and they were so accommodating and explained before each section the expectations. We will be back!

Daughter got bit, saturday 2/18/23 we were taking our daughter from Bakersfield to LA for the 3 day weekend our first stop was at this petting zoo, everything was good staff was great, very clean nice place, out big problem was with one of the dogs our 18 month tried petting him, and immediately the dog bit her, on the video it looks like he just grabbed the sweater her hand just had a tiny wound maybe from one of the tooth, I understand a dog is an animal and they will always be unpredictable, we were trying to get our daughter to get close to animals we looked at the rabbits a girl there told us we could even adopt them, or a dog was a choice she seemed to like dogs, our weekend was sadly ruined she couldn't and didn't let us sleep at night, she was scared, she's doing better now, we mostly spent the days at the hotel, i just hope they removed that dog if they didn't I suggest you dont let your little ones pet at least the one on the video

Returning client, very friendly place the first time I visited. Saw there were birthday parties going on. Came to scout again to book for my daughters upcoming birthday. Great Saturday when I arrived it was quiet. Unfortunately, the staff told my daughter to not scare the bunnies as she got excited to see them, I politely explained she's autistic and we can try for her to not get to excited. Instead of that being the end of it a second staff member got involved and I expressed If it was a problem I'd leave , yet they expressed again that she must not shriek of excitement, suppose they want a silent petting zoo. I left and got a refund & was given an apology and that they would give this opportunity for professional development. Honestly what broke my heart was getting my refund my daughter said "I'm sorry mommy" . I still cry just thinking about this experience. I wasn't going to post this review but I have to share my experience
