It is always a disgrace having to pick up prescription medicines from this pharmacy.

As usual, when we go on vacation, there is always an item or two that we may have forgotten to bring. So of course, CVS is a great place to stop in like a convenience store but with cheaper prices. Joe K needed some razor blades to keep his reemerging beard trimmed after a long course of chemotherapy. We also bought some bottled water to help keep his daily medications consistent. I'm a loyal CVS Pharmacy shopper with my "Extra Care" card always close at hand. This store was typical of other CVS's that I have patronized, so finding the products I use most often made shopping quick and easy. The cashier was friendly; the store spacious and well stocked with just about anything you would need from medications, cosmetics, housewares, food & drinks, sundries and many other necessary staples we can't live without. Now we can continue our vacation running more smoothly....

Doctor called in prescription. CVS called me every day with voicemail saying pick it up. I went topick it up and they said it was not available. I talked to pharmacy said it would be there the next day. Went the next day I was told it is still not available. This is an easily obtainable generic medication. Service is horrible.

Called the pharmacy to check on my prescription after my doctors appt. I was on hold for nearly 10 mins, and when I finally spoke with someone they quoted me $300+ for a face cream (tretinoin) that my doctor verified would be fully covered by insurance. The person I talked to was kind, but not helpful.

Absolutely WORST pharmacy. They will text that your prescriptions are ready, and then you pick them up they won't be. RUDE. They don't communicate effectively and frankly couldn't care less about you, your health or prescriptions. Wish I could rate 0 or - score

Doesn't provide 10 dollars cash back for customers purchasing products. I mean, it's quite universal. I would understand if they were temporarily unable to, however they also have issues with their cashiers check system. They are unreliable, and the pharmacies have been unreliable and so this is why I am now after about a year of considering bad service; leaving this review. Save time and go to Thrifty's or whatever it's called now on Soquel ave next to Whole Foods. Inexpensive cashiers checks without the hassle and cash back option.

when you do a search for walk in friendly places to get shot, this place dominates my query every time! but this is not, walk in friendly whatsoever!!! so if you're searching with endless fails at successfully speaking w your voice to a cvs rep or store's availability or anything related or relevant to finding just basic where, who and if without having to answer the same scripted bot generated questions, w each and every search attempt over n over n over again wasting time, w online search, know this place is not walk in...

This is the best CVS in Santa Cruz. Not only do they have a great selection of items, the store is clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. I'm also especially grateful for the manager Fernando who has cleaned up the parking lot situation and clearly takes pride in making sure his customers not only feel welcome but safe. I can personally speak to this as a female shopper, thanks to Fernando I can once again feel safe and secure parking and shopping at our West Side CVS. As a matter of fact, I pick up everything from grocery items to my favorite skin cleanser in one stop! We need more managers like Fernando in Santa Cruz county!

It used to feel so unsafe shopping here due to the amount of sketchy looking campers parked in the street next to CVS. The inside is always super clean and is one of the nicest CVS locations in the county. The staff have always greeted me with kind words. The negatives - shady characters who park on private party (CVS parking lot) and leave some of the most toxic garbage I've ever seen. You'd think hamburger wrappers and ciggie butts. You wish! Human and animal feces, smells of urine and general fear to get out of your vehicle. The positives - always have my medications, nice staff, stocked shelves, and an overall well kept store. The labels on the shelving are large print and if I need assistance, staff is readily available. My last huzzah reserved for the store manager, Fernando. Oh my goodness. He actually greets me by name when we are in store at the same time. Who even does that anymore? Fernando takes a lot of pride in his role and his store, and it shows. I'd love to buy him a huge pizza via Venmo.

Sometimes they can be low on stock on items which can be frustrating. However, they have a decent selection of beauty products, over the counter medicine, and snacks which is at a convenient location to the college. Every cashier I've interacted with is extremely friendly which always makes up for the slightly run down feel of the store.
