Worst service EVER! They are rude and insensitive to the needs of a costumer when it comes to medication refills. The staff is short and not very knowledgeable of the insurances to bill. They over charged me saying my insurance was rejected and even after my insurance company called them and spoke to the pharmacists about my coverage and the medication I was getting was supposed to only have a co-pay of 1.55 not 16.00, they still charged me the 16.00. They often don't have the medications I need in stock saying, it's not available anywhere in this town. They don't bother to tell you when a medication is on hold so when you go to pick up your medication it's a whole ordeal to get it. Byju is one of the worst offenders of rudeness when trying to get my meds straightened out. To say the least, they suck!!!!!!!!! Time for a new pharmacy!

What a nightmare to deal with these people. They had to do one thing for me. They had to call Walgreens and request my prescriptions transferred because Walgreens apparently doesn't deal with my insurance. 3 times I drove back and forth from Walgreens to CVS to get a medication I need for my blood pressure. You would think they had never done anything like that before. Between their incompetence and total contempt for their customers, it was an afternoon wasted, 2 other people in the lobby had been going through the same thing.

Awful pharmacy, doesn't care about their patients. My prescriptions were transferred, actually bought, from the Rite Aid that was closed on Soquel Ave. Never had a problem getting a prescription there for more than 15 years. CVS on the other hand, was a nightmare from the very start. They continually put my prescriptions "on hold", order placed too early. That's fine, you can't get most prescriptions ahead of time. But you'd expect, and Rite Aid did this, that they'd get things ready for when you were allowed to pick up. Instead, they refuse to order the meds until the 30 days is up. So, if the meds aren't in stock (and they usually aren't), you have to wait 1-2 days depending on the day of the week. This means that I can't take my meds as prescribed. Their response is basically to shrug their shoulders. When I asked why they wouldn't order it in advance, so they would have it on hand in time, they replied that they don't want to keep any extra, because maybe it wouldn't be picked up. We're talking about a recurring, monthly prescription here, something that I'm supposed to take on a daily basis, and have been taking for years. They just don't care.

This was the worst experience I have ever had with a store or pharmacy. Stay away at all costs.

Had to call in my prescription 4 separate times and make 3 separate trips to CVS before they filled it. It's not like they were out of the medication either. Twice they said it'd be "ready in an hour", then it's like they just forgot about it once they hung up the phone. Ridiculous stuff.

horrible experience I accidentally misgendered the cashier and he proceeded to correct me in a rude way I also didn’t like the fact that he pointed to his name tag and said “it’s right here big for you to see”..maria was her/his name

Went for a tetanus shot to this cvs location because it was nearby where we were staying. The Asian girl at the counter did not stop making faces and was annoyed by any and all questions. Like most CVS stores, employees seem unhappy at their work place and it translates to terrible customer service. If you have time like are better going somewhere else like to Costco pharmacy where they actually provide a good customer service.

There is a cashier at this location named Ebony, who happens to be the friendliest, sweetest and most attentive employee possibly in all of Santa Cruz. Time after time she has greeted me with warmth and enthusiasm and her attitude is contagious. I wish every business had someone like her.

LITTERALLY came in having an allergic reactions and these bitches told me to "wait in the checkout line" the other customers had to express that I was actually unwell and needed allergy medication. even after my friends had gone in before me and started pressing the assistance button several times. even then they were being condescending in telling me "you couldve gotten another brand" :/. My friend was trying to grab me the medication he knows works for me. Never have I ever had such bad customer service. An attitude the moment I came in trying to ask for help.

Looked like one of the workers was being kinda' rude to a customer. I know downtown has some characters but they still have feelings. So much nicer at the Mission store.

Security guard chased me and my 6 year old out of the store after purchasing milk and toys on her birthday on Aug 18th 2023. He waited until we were around the corner with no staff or cameras to demand we return our cart, acting like I was a stealing a cart I was technically still on the property with our cart of items. I then proceed to tell him we need to take the bus and the stop is within eye view, I tried working with him to ask if he'd let me set my things down and hand him the cart in the process, he would've had to follow me about a foot away from the building to the bus stop to retrieve the cart, he was furious and threatened me verbally that he was going to just take it from me and tried to call the police but never did he ran from me as i took photos, he waited until the police arrived to finally tell them he thought I was stealing and how the store has a misdemeanor policy of taking carts off the property. Not only was I never notified of this policy while shopping or leaving the store, but I was embarrassed that I ever gave business to an unmanageable location. The officer proceeds to also be no help and threatened to arrest me due to the fact the store wanted to press charges for "stealing" a cart. A cart I was using as a paying customer [spent about 60$] to shop for milk and birthday toys and then take those items to the bus stop located adjacent to the store, all the while I did ask for assistance from the guard so I could set my items down at the bench at the stop, I never mentioned taking it away from the property or try to keep it from the guard. I'm confused, embarressed and degraded at my local store experience. I called corporate and intend to write a letter to city hall to eliminate this store from the area, it is not enriching the community but rather destroying it. Personally I have had situations in the past at this location that were unproffessional but this was the most serious and sad customer service incident. An incident report with corporate has been filed.

I shop at this CVS location often, both for myself and my clients. I appreciate the friendly and helpful staff. I will continue to shop here and recommend this store to friends and family.

Not a place to go if you need to get prescription filled with any kind of competence or courtesy. Store generally has a really weird atmosphere with on-edge security people.

The person who wears glasses went above and beyond in helping me try to find the random purchase I was looking for here. Thank you!
