I've been assisting independent auto service repair shops that last 20 years with their marketing, so I know what I'm talking about when I say an auto shop is a good shop. I suspect Michelle Cutts — see her lousy review — is not being forthright about her dealings with Nate at DMV Clinic. In fact of one the the last times I visited the shop as a customer, I encountered a woman customer who lives three hours away and trusts only Nate to work on her vehicle. This woman's faith in Nate is the norm to how customers feel about Nate, his work and his integrity. It's a shame that Michelle Cutts stooped so low as to blame Nate for a "PST triggering issue." In fact, her accusing Nate of triggering her PST has triggered my own PST :)Services: Steering & suspension repair

DMV Clinic is amazing! As a woman I don’t usually feel comfortable going to car shops, but the mechanics at DMV clinic were so welcoming and friendly. Justin even showed me what he was fixing on my car so that next time it acts up I can fix it. AND they didn’t try to overcharge me for anything. These guys are the best in town!

I have never wanted to write a negative review but after my experience at DMV Clinic auto I would be remiss not to. I needed a new battery for a 2014 vehicle. A friend recommended Nate from church and he bid $20 less than Ford so I went for it. Two days later no start. He refused to exchange the battery, he charged it in the vehicle and said it tested fine. Over 16 months I made three attempts to get them to swap the battery. Three mechanics checked it thoroughly and independently said it was bad. Nate insisted it was not, and offered to sell me a solar battery charger!. He said my car had a parasitic drain, and at one point called it a lemon. In 16 months it reached a point of holding no charge for any length of time. I gave up. I am a disabled vet and single Mom. At one point the owner was so loud and vulgar. He laughed at me and hung up on me. It triggered my PTSD. I had to threaten filing a complaint before he finally begrudgingly swapped the battery. I was so stressed from his name calling I arranged to have someone else exchange batteries.Service: Battery

All the people that work here are absolutely amazing, I called them after my wife had gone to a different place an said we needed to spend almost 2 thousand dollars on repairs (which we found out was a lie) and their service advisor who had the same first name as me was very informative and even came on his lunch break to look at the papers I had from this other shop (going to leave the name of it out cause I don't want any retaliation's) but the service advisor Eyzayha went over things my car actually needed and explained what parts on my vehicle didn't need any repair or replacement , set us up with an appointment and the outcome of not spending a couple thousand dollars and only paying a couple hundred for servicing if you see this Eyzayha thank u again me and my wife truly appreciate you and the rest of the DMV clinic auto repair employees ,HIGHLY RECOMMENDED THIS SHOP THEY ARE NOT TRYING TO RIP PEOPLE OFF WITH REPAIRS ON PARTS THAT ARE PERFECTLY FINE

My family has always came to nate for all their automotive needs and I have recently over the last couple years been doing the same and I must say the quality of work for the price you would (I've been) paying is honestly 10000000% worth it I've been to other shops an asked for the work I need to be done and have been givin a run around , half effort work , or overcharged an still be left with my car not at 100 percent where as nate makes sure that before they release a customer's car back to them it's been thoroughly overlooked one last time to make sure the job was done right and without flaw or error I highly recommend this shop over all that I've had service my vehicles in Santa Cruz County and will forever continue to have the awesome ppl of DMV clinic be the ones I bring my business to

Nate is the most kind and honest person. He is always trying to save his customers money whenever he can. He is the only mechanic that I have ever been to who truly cares about his customers and goes above and beyond. If you want great service then this is the place to go!!! I will never go anywhere else to get my car fixed.

One of those times I wish there were more than five stars! Nathan Sparks and everyone at DMV is top-drawer and I have to share why we are now slavish fans.At auction, my son purchased a 12-year-old Ford F-450, formerly a city taxi in Fresno for those wheelchair-bound. Lots of miles, but in relatively good shape for what it was. And he needed a roof rack. And Roobar bumpers. And to make it a camper - all in three weeks before driving 1,600+ miles down the tip of Baja to live with his wife and two-year-old. And, of course, he was on a tight budget.Oh, did I mention it was Thanksgiving? And he needed to leave before Christmas?Every day Nathan put in a full day from 8 to 5pm, then worked on our whip until 3am. And then did it again the next day.Turns out it needed quite a few things that other mechanics would have missed. And every night he worked with enthusiasm and professionalism catching all manner of wear and overlooked items that the city of Fresno thought didn't need to be addressed since it was being sold. Even in the cold, on the pavement at night, he remained sharp, focused, all with a sense of humor. My son left in the middle of the night on Dec 23rd. They traveled nearly to Cabo without a single mechanical issue. I am now a hyper fan, understand why so many are so enthusiastic about him, his business, son, and team and say they wouldn't go anyplace else. I now feel the same! You will too.Let Nathan show you the service which sparks (sorry, I couldn't resist) such enthusiasm. You'll not regret it.

I have been a customer since Jack owned the business and with him everything was great. He sold to his son and things have gone down hill since then. Went in about a month ago and told them the battery light was on. They checked it out and said all was fine the light was just on. Went into another repair shop this last week and was told the it was not the battery light that was on but the radiator light and I had a leak. Repairs were done and now my car feels like it did when I first got it. I feel like DMV Clinic just did the fastest, least expensive, put a bandage on it repair. Last oil change a large spot of grease was spilled on the drivers floor mat and covered with a paper. When I got home and told DMV about it they said accidents happen. Service not up to the quality of my car or my expectations. Phyllis Ben Lomond

It’s a shame there isn’t a higher rating than five out of five stars. Nathan is an extraordinary mechanic, a genius at fabrication and analysis, with the kind of commitment and follow through that has him work on jobs for new customers until three or four in the morning. When is the last time you heard of a mechanical shop owner doing something like that?
