Not a fan of paying for parking in an area that isn't walking distance to the local attractions, however it was only $12. Otherwise very clean mid tier hotel. Good pool/hot tub.

Had a little mix up when arriving but was fixed. Everyone was very nice and friendly and treated there guest respectfully. I enjoyed my 7 days there thank you all for a wonderful vacation.
Nearby activities: Santa Cruz boardwalk and the red wood forest.

Great location in the mountains but close to the beach as well. Rooms are a bit dated but the service made up for it. Bar is great, but restaurant food is ok

Very nice location. Pretty quiet for such a family friendly place. Biggest complaint is the water pressure is not good. Takes a long time for the water to get to temp as well. Otherwise it has been great.

The rooms were smelly, and were not cleaned throughout stay. Had to call front desk for housekeeping needs every day during stay. The location is great though.

Facility is a bit worn.
The staff were nice, and the location can't be beat.

My family and I stayed a night this summer while visiting the Coastal Redwoods. We are Hilton Honor members so we thought Hilton Scotts Valley wouldn't be different from the Hilton properties we stayed at prior. Well that was incorrect... We chose digital key and the a room on the 5th floor facing the mountain side, when we got there it said we could not use the digital key and would need to check in. No problem except we could not get the room we choose and when I asked why they said that is the way it is. In return is said ok I hope it is just as nice and the kid didn't seem to care. I said well I guess I will just leave a sub-par review if it wasn't jokingly but he didn't seem to care... so here we are. The room smelled of wet towels, there was water damage in the bathroom, the hotel let kids play catch with a baseball around a bunch of cars, and the beds were more comfortable at the 2 star hotel we stayed at 2 nights before in San Simeon... You may ask why we didn't say anything... I would have been blown off like I was when I first got there. Location was nice, but don't expect the Hilton treatment. Total bummer as the other Hiltons we stayed out were great. So ends up that the most expensive hotel we stayed at on the trip was the worst by far.

Where do I start! Arrived to be offered a room early for 40 extra then later different worker said she never heard of that then waiting from 130 to 4 to get a room when many others were getting checked in to balcony rooms ? Then room moldy smelling beds not comfy had to sleep on top with clothes on, then fire alarm off at 445 am all guests in sleepwear parking lot no one from staff or hotel said nothing if it was safe yet . Left with our suitcase and clothes only to return from a tiring day no sleep to a room that was not made no supplies no towels asked the desk Demetey said if u don’t tell us that on ck in we don’t come wow! No one said a word so here the staff here don’t care at all but more into friends ignoring guests but I will say only one girl should be recognized as polite and truly trying to help her name is URIEL she should be manager she stayed calm and got us towels and water tried to help while cemetery was less than helpful , sad to see Hilton hotel this shabby , with bribes dirty rooms rude front desk men and no staff to help in emergency fire alarms very disappointed to hear manager on vacation in Texas maybe he should get a hold of this mouldy place before more people catch on and spend there money elsewhere
Rooms: Uncomfortable beds smells like mold or wet dog in rooms

Very clean, but the service to change towels and collect garbage is not very good, we placed the order and they go until the last day we stay.

I do not usually write negative reviews but I just have to share that I am disappointed In how this place has gone downhill.
We stayed here a few times in the past and it was nice, but there were several issues this time.
First, there was a new and undisclosed charge for parking. I don't mind paying for parking as part of the stay, but to ambush us as we check in after a long drive was seriously unprofessional. Additionally, signs in the lot indicate that despite the new charges for parking, the hotel takes 0 responsibility for your car.
Second, our air was stuck at 65 degrees which was ridiculously cold. We couldn't change the AC at all and struggled to sleep.
Third, to mitigate the AC issue we asked for extra blankets. We were told we had to get the blankets ourselves, which generally isn't terrible, but it definitely implied that we had to collect the blanket ourselves because the team was understaffed.
Fourth, there was a thick film of dirt covering the window, making the view gross. Maybe clean the windows once a year or two?
Beyond that, our bed had an incredibly deep sinking dip in the middle and the room and hallway smelled pretty bad.
The problems with the service at this location, along with the extra and undisclosed charge for parking are likely related to greed somewhere up the chain.
Take care of your employees and your guests, stop shady business practices!

Good location in the Santa Cruz mountains, but I called ahead to check in and make sure our room didn’t face other rooms because it’s our wedding anniversary and we paid for a balcony and put in the instructions which direction we wanted to face. A staff member named Alex had me on hold for a while and then said they checked the room and assured me it didn’t face others. When we got to the room it did, and they didn’t seem to care or rectify the lie. Tried using the pool and there were no towels. Called and they said they’re bringing some now and waited 30 minutes, then called again and was told they’re out of towels and that we can’t use our room towels because of the bleach. The pool was also filled with debris and dead bugs.. so really bummed about the room and not being able to enjoy the amenities for the price we paid. We’re celebrating an anniversary so it’s sad to deal with staff who don’t seem to care or be hospitable. I typically stay at Hilton’s and have to say this is the worst one so far. Will definitely try somewhere else closer to downtown Santa Cruz next time.
Rooms: The bed was comfortable at least.

Charged for everything, parking fee for everyone (handicap). Have stayed at other hotels handicap was free. No free coffee in the lobby, had to pay almost $10 for 2 cups. Stayed other places it was free.
