Clean room with no frills. A great deal at $110 per night. The only issues we had were related to noise our neighbors made. At around 2am one of our neighbors drove in and sat in their car for an hour blasting music. Recommend bringing earplugs.

Avoid this catastrophe. I felt like I was in the Bates Motel, waiting to be killed by a person or a viral disease. Rooms are outdated, poorly lit, reeked of cheap cleaning detergent, bedspread with cigarette burn marks, TV didn't work, shower leaker all over the bathroom, and zero control of other guest's behavior. Our neighbor was drunk/high and blasting his TV from 1:30-3:30AM and management did nothing to stop it but to offer me another room. The neighbor looks like he lives there. I was there with my family, and told my children not to tough anything, just basically sit still on the bed sheets (assuming they were clean). For $250/night I'll sleep on the street next time. PS I expect the manager to write his usual pre-recorded "thanks for your business" response he write on every other review. But please people, for the love of God avoid this place.

Has fridge, microwave, coffee maker, nice shower & tv, nice arrangement and private setting, park anywhere all 1st floor one way, hi speed wifi plus!! Pool was covered, no decaf, no kleenex... oh and super quiet!!!

Loved staying here, staff and manager were friendly and attentive, the location is in a nice part of town, close to grocery and retail shopping. Rooms are spacious and comfortable...

The rooms were very clean. No mold in the shower and the water was hot thanks to the solar panels.Bed was very comfortable. Owner was very accommodating when I locked myself out of my room. After researching hotels before booking with Hitching post, all reviews were good and the more expensive hotels had complaints of cockroaches, bed bugs, and problems with people breaking into vehicles overnight. I will definitely book with Hitching Post next year when I return.

The rooms are always clean the only thing lacking is the customer service could be a bit better the person working the front desk literally yelled at me when I was 10 minutes late for checking out and hadn't handed my key in yet.....rude!

Have been staying here for years. Every time is a good experience.I'll stay again.Rooms are clean and staff is great. Parking is tight but I got my big truck in here just fine.. Prices are good too. Close to everything...Really, what more do you need?Thanks again...

Spacious rooms with a giant kitchen and eating area separated with a door. Reminds me of an apartment from my younger days. I travel for business a lot and am spoiled from nice hotels so it's a dicey gamble when I decide to book a cheap one. We were prepared to leave if it was terrible. For the price we were worried. It was great! They could definitely charge more. There was a little visible wear, like paint bubbles or a cracked tile, but the place was super clean, bathroom was nice. I had no complaints. It was better than I expected for the price. Having the full kitchen to make drinks and snacks in was a bonus. I've stayed here twice now and won't hesitate to again. By the way, no issues with homeless. Some locations in Santa Cruz struggle with that but I didn't see any issues here. Easy parking. Drug store and sushi across the street, and a quick Uber to downtown where our concert was. Check in/out was quick and easy.

So gross and dirty. Shower dripping all night, and they said they would fix after check out. He is being nice and giving me one extra hour to check out since the shower kept me up all night. What a kind man. Very very gross and dirty rooms.

Clean room for the night. Booked online, reasonably priced for the area. Easy and pleasant check in. No assigned parking but plenty available. Room was clean, but could've used a supervisor pass. Ex: dusty floor and window sills. Nicely redecorated, but needs maintenance attention. Ex: shower with beautiful tile and a dripping showerhead. Good hot water and pressure. Clean bed and clean sheets. Very thin walls, recommend ear buds. Regular amenities included. Walgreens across the street, restaurants within walking distance. Overall, a good stay.

Love this place! Every time I come to Santa Cruz I hope and cross ky fingers that this place isn't all booked and I usually seem to get blessed with a room thankfully. But ya, you won't regret staying here that's for sure, motel staff is super friendly, if you're in luck you might find Danny around I think hes the boss man. Super cool dude you can ask him for anything. Rooms always super clean, never had a complaintBest value motel in Santa Cruz hands down. Great location too, right where you want to be.????

I stayed for two nights in July, at $250 a night. The room did not match the picture advertised. The room was marked as having a "kitchenette" which turned out to be a broken microwave and a mini-fridge with no freezer, so the food I brought had to be tossed. The A/C was loud and extremely smelly with a red light indicating the filter needed changing. Even though the room was marked as non-smoking it smelled of smoke. The floors were not swept clean. The shower was incredibly tiny and there were holes in the bathroom where the walls met the floor. Flat, un-usable pillows, no clothing hangers, no blow-dryer, permanent stains on the blankets. I was extremely dissatisfied with this room for the price I paid, and feel it was falsely advertised. (Service staff were all very kind, and they do not factor into this rating)
