A family member tested positive for an illness late at night. Our physician was able to call in a prescription and I was able to pick it up right before the pharmacy closed. I snagged some supplements and groceries on my way out. The patient was able to promptly start taking their medicine. Overall a very smooth experience.

The staff at this pharmacy are very nice. I was in a minor medical issue/emergency due to an error from my doctor, and the staff here went above and beyond to help me and the issue was resolved.

The pharmacy staff is very helpful and friendly. The times I have come to pick stuff up I have never had to wait more than 30 minutes which gives me enough time to shop. I appreciate their patience and willingness to answer questions.

Don't even bother coming here unless it's very early in the morning. Anything that's a good deal and worth buying will be OUT OF STOCK. 9 TIMES OUT OF TEN. where do you people get groceries in Santa Cruz? Do you just meditate and think about food? Are you all surviving on chickpeas and tofu?

My daughter had an undelivered order back in January and she had called a few times to refund the charges because her credit card was charged! It is already February and they have not reversed the charges! Unhappy that now we have to talk to our credit card provider to fix it.

I particularly appreciate the kindness and telephone manner of the young woman who typically answers the phone.I transferred to this SafeWay after woeful ineptitude and rudeness from a RiteAid nearby. Also, RiteAid charges much more for prescriptions.Thank You SafeWay Pharmacy!

Lisa of Safeway Pharmacy Westside and her staff have provided outstanding service to me for over one year by filling my monthly Rx efficiently and by working through the often complex insurance billing. Phone hold times and window wait has is typically short. This is the best pharmacy in Santa Cruz.

I have had problems at the CVS on Mission twice in the last few months. They couldn't get a drug, then they were refusing to refill another prescription, even when my doctor called them! Safeway took care of me both times. Someone answers on the first few rings and my refill was ready in 30 minutes. I will be changing from CVS to Safeway's pharmacy. Plus I can pick up a few groceries while I am there!

Curb side pick up sucks here. There is only one spot designated for online orders and it's never open cause anyone and everyone feels the need to park there. Because I have to park away from the spot I can't see the number to call and getting through to a living human takes soo long and then trying to describe whee I am parked is near impossible. This is the 3rd time I've had the same exact experience

Sorry but I don't think they're "doing their best" during COVID or keeping people safe. The aisles are soooo narrow. I dread going there. Why can't they widen the aisles?? It's like they can't be bothered. Really annoying to try to shop and stay away from people zooming past you or hovering behind you. The long check out lines move so slowly and begin IN the aisles, so it's impossible to avoid people in the lines and people trying to shop those aisles. Why can't we demand a better, safer experience from Safeway??

Absolutely horrible customer service. The woman at the customer service counter didn't know how to help with my order and was told by whoever was in charge that they would show her how. This was in earshot. The customer service woman came back and told me she couldn't help. Pure laziness. Store isn't particularly clean. Disappointing in covid times.
