Although my partner has had a good experience here before, it wasn't with all the employees. Had a very disappointing customer support experience today when it came to returning the paint sample strip and getting my deposit back... After telling him the last four digits of the card I paid with, he was nonetheless then asking me did I pay in cash? And then he's doing work with other receipts, asking me if those four digits were the card I paid with, etc etc. It was like I had to pry information out of him about when this could be handled. Don't know why he could not get to the point, especially seeing as he had other customers waiting on him, just seem like he was wasting the time for different people, all at once.

Needed quart of paint, came here cos nearest to me, was studiously ignored by only person serving, who was explaining paint types to a clueless customer, went to Kelly Moore, much better experience

I'm working with a painting contractor out of the area for a property out of the area and his preference is Sherwin - Williams. I went in yesterday and was very upfront about the situation "the paint will be purchased at another location but I need to check colors". Received great help from the gentleman who even took his time to help find the color palette that I found on line (corporate website). I took my sample colors home to think about, decided I did not have the right combination and went back to the store. I was helped this time by a different employee, who appeared tired and as it turned out, not remotely interested in customer service. It started out fairly well and he was informative and led me in a more appropriate direction for my project. I had picked out two colors in a type of paint that he told me wasn't right for my project (which I appreciated). When I asked him to direct me to similar colors in the more appropriate product, he did start to help but had no interest in communicating with me and just sort of started picking out colors without addressing any comments or input from me. It was not a collaborative few minutes. Finally, he pretty much threw the cards back on the rack and said, "I really have other things I need to be doing. You did not pick out the right product." I responded with, "what I hear you saying is that you aren't interested in helping me". He shrugged his shoulders and walked away. There was no suggestion of having someone else help me. I was just "dismissed".

Pretty disappointing experience, all told. I was trying to match an exterior stain. I'd gone to a big box store, and the result wasn't very close, lighter and pinker than the original color. I thought I'd go to a "real" paint store. I brought in several samples from the siding in question. The fellow told me they could do "much better" than the box store. After 45 minutes or so of trying, they guy brought me the can, and told me the color would "dry in". Seemed darker and bluer that the original. Skeptical, I took the can home and applied it. Looked very different from the original. I waited a few days for it to "dry in", and it made no difference. I brought it back, and spoke with a new guy, gave him more samples. Came back a couple hours later, and all he had done was try to adjust the original can, and made no difference. He made some excuses about how wood is hard to match. Maybe he should have mentioned that before they started. He was unwilling to start with a new can, even thought the previous guy had ruined it. The so called "100% satisfaction guarantee" was worthless, and I'm out $50 for a can that's going to go to hazardous waste recycling.

Poor service from the grey haired guy in the back. Giving me grief about mixing a gallon of paint. Second time now, placed my items back on the shelf and went to kelly moore
