I contacted Care For The Children to paint the address number on the curb and it was done promptly without a problem. I like the prompt response I received from them and I'm completely happy with it. The experience has been great! :)

The day I received the notice/flyer that was left on my door I called them and asked why the flyer no longer states that if you don't want to have your curb number painted to tape the flyer on the curb and the person from Care for the Children told me that the city permit issued needs them to paint every home so the flyer no longer has that but if I don't want them to paint the curb number I can still tape it to the curb and they will skip it.Well, they still painted my curb even though I didn't want it done and put the flyer in a Ziploc used 2 Garden Landscape Staples to make sure the flyer stays because no tape will hold to the curb. Also, my number was in very good condition that did not need repainting. Now 2 and a half weeks later almost 6pm on a Saturday someone knock/pound on my window startling my wife who was taking a nap instead of using my doorbell inches away from the window.Luckily, I didn't have my front window open or my 100+ pound Doberman would have gone through the window screen and it would not have been pretty.I told the representative from Care for the Children that I left the note, and he replied I probably put the flyer out the day of and it was too late.Been through these enough times to know what to do so I put it out the day I received the flyer.I understand nonprofits help people and need donations but shouldn't be using scam like tactics and not to bother people during dinner time especially on the weekend.STOP TRYING TO PUSH OR FORCE PEOPLE FOR DONATIONS.

They did a great job of painting our house number last year. The city allows them to come in and paint the curbs since they don't take care of it. The city should contract it themselves, imo, but it's a win for them since the curbs get painted without costing the city anything. People get uptight because they ask for a DONATION because they are a charity. Of course they're going to try. A simple "no" will suffice if you're not so inclined. Or give whatever amount you might think it's worth. And complain to your city if you don't like the arrangement. I'd rather pay a charity that at least does some good.

Yeah so... very shady way to run an organization, I will be reporting to the BBB and everyone reading this should do it as well. They assume your consent to their service if you DON'T tape their measly little paper note on your sidewalk for several days before they decide to spray your address. Where it should be that I tape the paper IF I do want your service. Then they come knocking and demanding a payment. Your guys are gonna have a hell of an experience if you come demanding a payment from me.

They came by to paint my curb which I didn't ask for, and then knocked on my door asking for money. That's OK, it seems like a good cause, so I donated. However I didn't appreciate your volunteer trying to preach to me after repeatedly being told "thank you, goodbye". Would you appreciate someone coming to your house asking for money and then forcing their beliefs on you? So entitled and unprofessional. I will donate again, but to someone else.

These are good people with what seems to be a good company. Their fundraising technique might need some work but in the end its all about the fact that they are helping seniors who need food. That's the bottom line. I don't see any other company delivering food to senior citizens. They have a good heart with good intentions. They even happen to paint a good number on my curb.

Every time I read some of these review on here I am baffled. All my interactions with this organization have been wonderful. They have brought food to my family when we needed it even though at the time I could not afford to give a donation. They did not care they brought the food anyways and some young man came and prayed with me. A very lovely organization indeed it must be hard having to deal with all these judgmental people on the web. I believe people call these nay Sayers troll's. Well that sounds about right. These troll's need to leave these young men and women to I think, alone and let them be about their business of helping people. If you don't want to donate then don't simple as that. and don't be afraid to ask for help from them they are more than willing to give it.

While donations are tax deductible, I would suggest one donate to a charity that allocates more of its donations to charity instead of operations. Their EIN is 13-4314490, since the verification link on their website is broken and they don't seem to have it posted anywhere.

They came to paint my parents address on the curb. My elderly parents didn't know to pay the $20. So these quack people came back to my parent's house and scrapped their entire address off the curb. They did the same to the neighbors house. Please don't pay these horrible people . What a scam hiding behind the name "Careforthechildten" please stop paying; let's get them out of this area

Would give Zero star if possible. They ignored my NO SOLICITING sign on my front door. Rang doorbell after 5pm. I ignored and they tried again after a few minutes. When I didn't answer that they TAPPED ON MY WINDOW!!!! This is extremely annoying, aggressive and Scary. That's what burglars do!!!This is very unacceptable and I hear from neighbors that this is common with this organization.
