I have been receiving alerts about car models I want to pick parts on for the different LKQ locations. A car make model and year came up for this Santa Fe location (VIN: WBAPH5G54BNM78821). And it was a disappointment for several reasons: (1) The car part was bar-coded when at part check-out as from a convertible when it was actually a 4-door sedan, thus a 60% price mark-up on the rear bumper cover I had worked to remove! (2) The young female cashier behind the cashier's window was adamant and unfriendly when she said she only charged by the scanned barcode even with the wrong car type was indicated and refused to entertain the notion that the vehicle was wrongly tagged! She couldn't care a darn about making or not making a sale - which says a lot of the business culture of this outfit! (3) the email alert for my target vehicle could not be found at the specified and published location but a few dumped spaces away. Another person on the same row also complained that his target vehicle was found nearby a few rows from the published location; (4) Also the pictures and date of availability emailed as compared to the sticker tagged were different. The pictures shown in email alert were of good front and rear bumpers. The vehicle in wrong lot with the matched VIN was with a crashed front bumper!If a junk yard could not distinguish the difference between a convertible and a sedan, put their junk vehicles not in locations they have publicly specified, and posted fake pictures of the junked vehicle, I doubt I can rely on the honesty and business ethics of this place.

This place SUCKS! The problem with this place is that when you place an order, someone that is no where near where the actual part truly is. I have called this "professional company" several times pertaining to parts, and they claim to have "Insurance Quality" used parts. There parts are simply shit. I once asked a representative from there this company and asked is this part in "A" or Insurance Quality. The idiot on the other line replies with-"well sir, if it WAS IN MY COMPUTER I CAN ASURE YOU THAT IT WOULD'T be in A condition. Once the assembly was delivered, sure enough, a piece of shit. Please do not support this company. Another problem this company has, it's just it too big of a company and they have no idea of idea of what's going on with their business. Went there to purchase an airbag for my older vehicle, found the car, pulled the bag, boom! Go to check out, guy rings up the bag $109.55, damn! So I ask the guy, why so much, his reply was, the warranty. I says I don't want it, he says oh you have to have it on air bags. I said since when, he said about a year now. I said so you gonna make me purchase a warranty I don't want for 90 days for a 3rd of what the bag cost.($69.00) He then said yes, so do you want the bag or not ? I said I guess! Upon leaving I asked a guy at the gate, hey do I have to have a warranty on this, he said no! So what do I do, he says go to the office and tell the supervisor. I went to the office, told her the situation (Liz) she said go back to the window, get a refund. My question to her was, why did he do that, why did he try to get over on me? She says idk, I will have to talk to him. There's more to this story, but I will wrap it up with this. The warranty is optional on everything, if you don't tell them No warranty, that automatically throw it on your purchase, in which I think is wrong, without them telling you. In my case the guy tried to take an additional $23.00 from me after I told him I didn't want it. So instead he lied and said I have to have it. The story gets worst, but I'll leave it at this. DON'T SHOP THERE!!! Scammers even the manager. I will be contacting corporate about my terrible experience.

I have been searching for my year make and model of car for a year now finally found one at one of the stores that's like an hour away from where I live so before I head out there I want to make sure they have the part I need I call the phone is nothing but the runaround they don't give you the answers that you need they won't even let you call the store that you want to call if your area code doesn't match it so I had to call the one that's local to me and I had to push the number two saying that I was going to sell them my car in order to even talk to a person the girl gets on the phone she's extremely rude explain the situation I live far away blah blah blah and she tells me that's too bad you have to drive out there to find out if the if the parts there yourself. That's crappy way to treat your customers and I will never go to one of your stores again if you can't help your customers out you shouldn't even be in business

do not do business with this company . there product is crap and they dont stand behind any of there products . i run large chevrolet dealership we purchased a reman engine from them and after installation was completed . this thing leaked like a sinking ship they wanted us to diagnose there crappy engine at no charge. and then wanted us to take pictures before during and after repairs . our shop labor rate is $222.00 and they reimbursed for 13 hours at $50.00 per hour complete bullshit. especially there 26.4 hours of repairs done on this truck . buyer beware do not get stuck like us dont buy crap from this company

This place went from a 8 to a 0 I been going to this specific yard for years earlier this year one of there staff decided to ca me names because he fealt I disrespected him and his fellow coworkers did nothing to stop him so I followed the coward and it almost lead to physical altercation, today I accidentally left a part in my tool box and one of the staff members confiscated my part, I asked politely if a supervisor can come because I can prove the part is from a late model (2019) which the yard absolutely does not have not one 2019 vehicle in the yard. If you feel like being humiliated by this garbage staff then go ahead and go. I will never set foot in that yard again

"Forced" to purchase $20 optional warranty on part. Went back and forth with cashier and advised that the $20 90 day optional required warranty was not actually optional but required .Cashier summoned manager who them also told me that I had to purchase the warranty or could not buy the part without it. Ironically just purchased very same part at their sister store without the 90 day warranty. Seems as though employees at the Santa Fe store create their own policies as the day goes on. The LKQ website says warranties are not required. I walked out without part after investing my time and labor to pull this out and was refused the ability to purchase this at promised price. After leaving I started reading reviews about same location and found several reviews with very same issue. Is this not a bait and switch scam ?

Vehicles are already picked over before you arrive Even if you show up when they open The pictures are a lie Waste of time Overpriced parts Might as well buy new if you can Sometimes new is less They will give you nothing for a complete car Also the parts prices are roulette They dont follow the prices they have online Terrible place Rude staff Dont waste your time

had a interview with the day supervisor and manager very friendly and questions were about my experience and at the end of the interview I was asked where do I see myself in one year,I believe my response was ok because I was asked to come back and speak with the night boss!

It was a horrible experience Dealing with Cesar and this company, I ordered a 2019 Honda Civic Sport Display Assembly Center. The sales guy tells me no problem "It will be delivered tomorrow" I paid and was hopeful that they deliver the part to the dealer. The next day I waited until 2:00 pm and no delivery I called spoke to Cesar and he tell me "he doesn't think it will arrive today" that they are short staff and maybe tomorrow. Finally they deliver it the following day and it was the wrong part. I called to inform him, I left a voicemail and he would never returned calls, I had to continually call and ask questions I then provided him the exact part number, he said ok it will be delivered tomorrow, tomorrow comes and again no delivery I call he tells me the part is at Santa fe springs location and he has no drivers to deliver even though just a day ago he said it would be delivered to the dealer. I drove to the Santa fe springs warehouse were what he ordered was the wrong part AGAIN. I finally gave up and requested a refund. Horrible Customer Service will never EVER do business with them again. I ended up buying the part from the dealer, I should have done that from the beginning like they day you get what you pay for. They wasted about a week ofy time, of me continually calling and following up with them stay away from LKQ.
