We submitted a small order on 10/26/2020 for outer carriers and ballistic panels. First off, the initial order was rejected several times because we didn't use the right form. This could have been resolved by the customer service agent by simply calling or emailing us and assisting us with getting the order correct. So we finally get the order right on our own. Months go by and still no vests. We call the company on 12/08/2020. The customer service agent is so rude that we are compelled to file a complaint with the owner. He assures me the agent will be "spoken to". It is now 01/30/2021 and we still have not received our order. This company is a nightmare to deal with. We would not recommend U.S. Armor to anyone.

Called and made an appointment to get fitted. When I arrived I was told I was not on the list . I was offered to be rescheduled but didn't want to risk wasting another day.

Purchased a vest from them. Custom fit. Once I received it, it was too small. I returned it and the fitting guy said it was fine and convinced me to keep it. I fell for it and wore it for three months (past the 60 day wear). I was not comfortable and quickly realized it was an officer safety issue. It leaves my whole side open. They justified this by saying it's okay, the fit is perfect, and it would look bulky inside my shirt. Yeah right. Stupid me fell for it but these are products that protect people's lives.Anyways, I went to point blank armor and was fitted by them. Much better vest. Their MAIN CONCERN was to have a nice overlap because even the fitter said that was the most vulnerable part. I was planning on purchasing new vests fromThem in the future but once I felt like I was a customer and the employees were used car salesman trying to justify the smallness, I realized they weren't the best. I attached some pictures so you can have a first hand look.

HORRIBLE CUSTOM PRODUCT DO NOT USE US ARMOR FOR CUSTOM FIT VEST. READ REVIEW BELOW. I am a Police Officer with an LA County Police Agency for the last 12.5 years. I purchased a custom vest 3 years ago from the US Armor facility in Santa Fe Springs, California and have been completely and utterly dissatisfied with the product they have provided me. 3 years ago when I purchased a concealable vest (IIIA) from them (at my own cost) I went in and had a vest fitting. During my vest fitting things seemed to go ok, they had me put on my gun belt and proceeded to take measurements while standing and while seated in an office chair (a chair with no arms). The once I was done with the vest fitting I paid for my vest and spent approximately 800-900 for the vest. It's an estimate as I do not know the exact amount. 3 months after the vest fitting, I received a phone call my vest was completed and I could pick it up. I drove down to the warehouse in Santa Fe Springs and picked it up. I tried it on at the warehouse and everything seemed to be ok. However as soon as I got into the car with it on the problems began to become evident. The first problem I noticed was the vest felt extremely tight, and the front right corner panel of the vest rode up and was in the side of my throat. The front right panel rode up so far it would rub the right side of my throat. I though maybe when they first put it on me maybe the straps just needed to be adjusted. I spent the better part of 3 weeks adjusting the straps trying to get the vest to fit right, however, I never could. The vest was so tight it was hard to breathe and their response was " it's meant to be like that," or the front panel would ride up and poke me in the throat. I would try moving the straps but nothing seemed to work. Then the Velcro on the main body started to go and stoped sticking. So I took it back in. I notified them on the poor fit and the riding up and they informed me it was cut wrong and they just needed to make a slight alteration to it, which they did. 1 month later I got the vest back and still no change in the vest, it still needed to be so tight you could t breathe so it would not ride up or move from side to side. I went in a second time and advised them I didn't think it was made correctly. A short Hispanic male helped me ( who was the least helpful) told me to put it on strapped it on so tight and said "no we did it right it looks good." I tried to tell him it didn't feel like it fight right and asked him if he could help me re-work the straps so it may feel a little more comfortable. I know it's not supposed to be perfect, however, I also know it's not supposed to be so tight you can't breathe and ride up to where it's hitting you in the neck. At this point I have been completely done with US Armor I refuse to do any business with them and have gone as far as telling my co-workers to never use them for their vest needs. I have also told other police officer friends to not use US Armor if they need a vest. I would recommend to anyone reading this to not use US Armor. Their product is good, their fitting and customer service and custom fit product is horrible.

Friendly staff, and quick service. I've never had an issue here. They also gave me a free t-shirt. Lol

Lorraine was amazing! Very friendly, professional, and although I did my homework re: ballistic vests, she knew her products well. Thank you.

Customer service is poor. You call to place an order they give you an email address. You email the company they give you a regional rep. You have to chase the rep down. When you finally get ahold of him, he says he will call you back and doesn't. It's almost like they don't want to be in business.

So... U.S. Armor came highly recommended from a co-worker. She told me the company made a very nice vest that took her custom measurements in mind. I went there and got fitted. The fitting process and everything went fine. My vest estimate was blown out by 2-3 weeks. I think my estimate was already 8 weeks to be delivered... but turned into 10-11 weeks due to some sort of material shortage. I got the vest and... it fits exactly the same as my issued vest, but thicker because of the level IIIa protection. The fancy vest carrier that is supposedly some sort of space age material that keeps you cool when it's warm and warm when it's cool doesn't do much. It's a vest. It's hot and sweaty. Not a thing you can do about it. There's precisely zero difference between this vest and my issued vest. I got a rubber grid thing that keeps the vest riding slightly higher away from an undershirt, and that has helped a ton. Now the carrier itself feels like a nice robust material. Unfortunately it's cut way too tight to the vest itself, and the trauma plate pocket inside is a TIGHT fit to the trauma plate. It makes it quite an adventure to get the panels and the plate back in the carrier after a wash. Long story short is that if I had to do it again, I wouldn't. I'd go to the website that lots of people have used with great results, buy a pre-sized vest, have the vest within a reasonable time frame, and not pay $1,000 bucks for a custom vest that seems to be just a tiny bit too small for the panels. Stay safe!

Horrible quality control. Velcro wore out on 2year old vest. Was told a new carrier would be sent out to me in 30 days....That was back in March. Hard to wear a vest if the straps wont stick on the carrier...please stand behind your product..would love to hear from you...

We are so lucky to have a corporation like this one here in Southern California with such great people working there, they really know how to treat law enforcement. Excellent customer service I will keep making U.S Armor my #1 choice in body armor and strongly recommend them to everyone.

I love the people here. I went in, got fitted, the staff was professional and we had some laughs. Ordered my vest with concealable and outer carriers. Had it within 2 months. The fit was like a glove. I love it more that the PACA/Point Blank vests I wore over my 21 years in LE. Price was great too. I wear it literally everyday for 14-15 hours day. It is super comfortable and breathes well.
