Gill’s towing was quick to tow my vehicle from San Luis Obispo to Arroyo Grande. The driver Christopher was very kind and nice. helpful and informative. I was very grateful for their help. I would call them again without any hesitation.??????????

I had a tow service arranged through my insurance for a flat tire, drove over a nail, and my car was parked in the driveway. I had the tower show up ask for my keys and say it would take 5 minutes, I stayed out of sight and heard him pulling out and was driving on the flat. I asked him to stop and if he could put air in the tire prior to driving it and he pulled a full swing attitude on me, that it wasnt the first time he had done a tow, that nothing was going to happen to the tire if he drove on it (it was completely flat) and that if I wanted the service or not. I stayed calm and asked him if he could please put air in the tire, which he did, and then continued to drive onto the tow bed. The fact that he was planning on driving out of my driveway and up the tow bed on a completely flat tire...beyond me. And the attitude was not necessary, I was not being rude, I was concerned. The tow got done but he honestly had me on the verge of tears with his abrasive response to my concerns. Would I call for another service or recommend them, heck no.

Unfortunately I have had to use Gil's towing on multiple occasions and each time it is the same pattern of making you wait longer than you expect. I have asked my insurance company to remove Gil's from the list of service providers because of this. It goes like this: the insurance sends the request for service, a vehicle tow or in this case, locked out of the vehicle- and Gil's will automatically send a response that they took the call and will be there in 30 minutes. I'll call them directly and a man will answer and say that it will actually be 60 minutes to wait. But the 60 minutes come and go, and then they will keep updating their ETA in 30 minute increments. Then I will call again and the man will say sorry but it will be longer than expected. I don't think it's fair to the customer that they take the calls right away because they want the business but don't mind making you wait for hours. The last time I needed a tow, they quoted me and my insurance company 60-90 min. Wait which is average although I was on the side of a very busy highway- I understood that it could be a while. But then when the 90 minutes came and went, and I called them back and was told that it could take up to 6 hours. I canceled the call right after the man became rude after I asked why 6 hours if I waited 90 minutes and was on the side of a really busy highway.

Gil’s Towing did an amazing job. I called my insurance and Vincent was there in less than 5 minutes. He was very helpful. Vincent went above and beyond. He really took care of us and showed really great customer service!!!! I would definitely recommend Gil’s Towing by my experience with Vincent this evening. I made a appointment a week in advance at 9:00 they called me at 11:00 I accidentally missed the call and called right back and he said he already took another job and that I’d have to wait I told him that’s ok and he said “maybe next time answer your phone and then hung up on me” super unprofessional rude and have no idea what they are doing

Uncomfortable, unsafe, and unprofessional. Insurance company assigned Gil's Towing to me to fix a flat tire in my driveway. The service person, Ben, made uncomfortable comments, such as "changing a tire is hard, especially for women" then winked and laughed, asked how much I bought my vehicle for, asked if I lived at the house where my vehicle was parked, asked how much I paid for my house and if I would sell it for $XXX,XXX dollars, etc. After the spare tire was installed, the pressure was low so I asked him to fill air in the tires. He said he didn't have a pressure gauge and his air compressor was broken, then he abruptly left. If that was true, then it is highly ill-prepared for a towing truck to not have a pressure gauge nor functioning air compressor.

I had a scary battery issue , losing power on the freeway with 2 very panicked kids. Our insurance tagged Gils towing and we had an immediate call , and two follow ups to confirm arrival. Vincent came and was wonderful ; he took care of everything and gave me a ride to the garage. Couldn’t have asked for more !
