They didn’t have any of the items I was looking for. Bathrooms were closed over an hour before the store was closed. I wasn’t allow to use restroom because the employee cleaning them said no one was allowed to use them the rest of the night despite me almost peeing my pants. Very angry that a public restroom was closed and not allowed to be used. I understand that she was cleaning them, but to tell me that I wasn’t allowed to use them for the rest of the night is ridiculous!

Very bad customer service! They forgot to open their store this morning, even with a few patrons standing out front... then only one check-out associate who disappeared to help a customer, leaving customers standing by the checkout register. I know things happen but she could have called back to another associate to help the customer, while she stayed at the only register open. Next time I will save time and frustration by simply going elsewhere. If this had been the first time I have seen bad customer service from our local Santa Maria store, I would simply think it was a bad day... but this has become typical and the manager needs to retrain the personnel.

Out of four visits, only one employee at the fabric cuts was reasonable and pleasant. My bad luck for my first and forth visit, the same employee helped me. she had been working there for the last two year ( I learned later from the store manager) and appears to have a very narrow minded. she could measure 10 yard fabric into 10.625 yard, 9 yard into 9.5 yards and 8 yard into 8.625 yards. By stretching out the fabrics 0.625 would give their employer extra 2 to 3 dollars profit, but is it worth to charge their regular customers causing a little discomfort with the chain stores. I would not return the fabrics because for me by driving back, there is a $10 gas cost to make an exchange. Attitude means everything. Please keep your two inches long finger nails shiny and measure the fabrics the way you like. People who read my review will understand my point when they saw you in the store. My best wishes.

I've been going to this joanns for some time now, I have gotten my serger and sewing machine here, and I always get my new fabric here. With such a wide range of colors and patterns and textures, it's my go to for sewing. One of the manager Adan is extremely helpful and kind to all the customers. He will try to give people the best experience, even if he's judging 3 costumers at a time. :) ?

I have no idea why this store is rated so poorly on here! I come at least once a week during my sewing phases- sometimes up to three times the employees are always so great and know me by name and always make me feel special; asking what I'm working on and whatnot. I came to their yelp page to see what time they closed tonight and saw the low stars and HAD to even it up a bit with an appropriate rating. Curbside service is always fast when you arrive, orders placed for pickup are ready quickly, i just don't understand the negativity here! Maybe it's how customers are treating THEM you get what you give! They are people, too, and all are very kind- trust me!

Customer service wasn’t the most amazing and I tried to exchange an unopened pair of scissors I had bought just a few days before, and they would not exchange it. It was just a matter of I bought left handed, and I needed right handed, buying left handed was an obvious accident, but they wouldn’t exchange them.
