My entire PODS experience has been great so far. I received great support on the phone when I first inquired and the next time I called to make a change. I have had one pod dropped off and already picked up and received two more today. All of the delivery people have been pleasant, respectful, and professional. I know there is a lot more to this process with two more pick-ups and a month of storage before I see those pods again, but everything has been good so far!

Great experience, made moving so much easier and better than local storage. Extra thanks to Rose in the local office and my driver Rich. Rose was super kind on the phone and made my day! Rich was a pro in placement and very patient with my neighbors during final drop off. Top service and would 100% recommend! Hoping I don’t have to move again anytime soon, but would for sure use PODS again for the ease of service and loading my things. Thanks again PODS team!

Extremely Disappointed - Unprofessional Service
I am writing this review to warn others about the completely unprofessional service I received from the PODS location in Santa Maria. What should have been a simple customer service issue turned into a frustrating ordeal that put a section of our community at risk.
The situation began when a PODS driver dropped off a container for one of our residents in an absolutely unacceptable location. The POD was placed partly on the sidewalk but mostly in the middle of our street - which happens to be a designated fire lane that must remain clear of obstructions at all times. Even excluding the fire lane issue, how could any driver think that leaving the POD on the sidewalk and in the street was a good idea? This wasn't just an inconvenience; it was a serious safety hazard that created a safety hazard for multiple garages and occupied most of the sidewalk.
When I contacted the Santa Maria PODS franchise to explain the dangerous situation, the woman on the phone was ridiculously unhelpful. Instead of taking responsibility for their driver's poor placement decision, she kept insisting this was an issue between our HOA and the resident. I repeatedly explained that only PODS could move their container, and that it was blocking a fire lane - a critical safety issue. Rather than showing any concern, she became argumentative and started gaslighting me, making it clear this conversation was going nowhere.
Later, a supervisor called me back, and her attitude was terrible from the moment she started speaking. It's almost like she made the call looking for a fight. When I explained the urgent safety concern - that their POD was blocking a fire lane and creating a dangerous obstruction - she flatly refused to send anyone out that day to relocate it. She showed zero concern for the safety risk their company had created in our community. Both women were extremely rude and completely unprofessional. They showed no accountability for their driver's dangerous placement of the container and no willingness to correct a situation that posed a genuine safety hazard to our neighborhood.
I cannot understand how anyone could run a business with such disregard for customer service and community safety. Based on this experience, I would strongly advise looking elsewhere for your storage needs. There are other companies that will treat you with respect and take responsibility when problems arise.
Would not recommend.

Matt is fantastic!! We had a POD delivered by a different driver who lectured me on how I did not properly order how the container was to be oriented and did not offer any assistance. Matt, unlike the other driver, could not be easier to work with and reorient the unit in the proper way. Matt deserves 5 Stars...the other driver needs service excellence retraining. Thanks.
