Bought 16e from them in April, its overheating (I use it for CarPlay and phone calls only) and does not wanna charge past 80% unless unplug it and leave it to cool down then charge it to 95-97%. Went to store spoke to “Technician” told me that the only way is for them to erase the phone and reset to factory setting as their “diagnostic” didn’t show problem. I dont blame the employees i blame Apple it self, phone thats less than 6 months old has a problem to the point its unusable is ridicules.
P.S. same thing is happening to my 16 Plus and that phone is only 3 months old.
Apple you officially went from a great company to a company that is pushing away its customers to Android.

This is not the Apple I grew up with. I never thought I’d leave a one star review for Apple, but after my recent visits to the third street promenade location I honestly feel like I need to say something, not just for myself, but for the employees who are clearly doing their best under impossible circumstances.
Let’s start here, the store doesn’t feel like a tech retail space anymore. It feels like a community safe zone where the comfort of certain individuals, many of whom who do not appear to be customers, seems to take precedence over the safety, focus, and experience of those who are actually here to buy products or receive service. I say that with compassion, I understand that some people in our city need help. But this is not the place for it and it’s obvious.
Multiple times during my visits I have noticed interactions that made both customers and employees visibly uncomfortable. Loud disruptions, erratic inappropriate behavior, and a general sense of instability that hung in the air.
I witnessed two women quietly leave before they were helped. When I asked if a manager could assist with The disruption, after a long wait (and some confusion about where the managers whereabouts) I was told someone would be brought out only for the staff member to vanish into the back for several minutes returning with a manager I hadn’t seen on the floor once during my two hours there.
That is not leadership, retail managers should be visible, engaged and protecting both customers and staff, not hiding in the back office and sending employees out to be the face of every difficult situation. That is what stuck with me the most I genuinely feel bad for the employees here. You can tell they are being stretched thin. You can see it in their eyes, the way they’re forced to smile and downplay what’s happening around them (likely out of fear of saying the wrong thing, and risking their jobs.)
The store has become a symbol for how far removed Apple retail has become from the brands original promise of innovation, customer care, and excellence. The environment now feels less like a curated tech space, and more like a liability waiting to happen.
If anyone at Apple’s corporate team still walks these floors or listens to their Frontline teams I hope they see this as a serious wake up call. Something needs to change for the safety of customers, the dignity of employees, and for the soul of what Apple retail used to stand for.

This place is how I picture an Apple Store would be post apocalypse, it’s an Apple Store, it looks clean but it’s somehow gross, smells bad, and is unsafe. The store leadership is forcing employees and customers into an harmful environment with their lack of security. The behavior allowed at this store is totally inappropriate and not something I’ve seen at any other Apple Store.

The store looks beautiful, the staff that wants to be there is great, but there is so much wrong with this store and how it operates. This places smells terrible, there are more unhoused people than customers, and it makes it difficult to try the products without worrying about your safety. So many products are missing or being replaced due to theft. When you get an appointment be prepared to wait 90 minutes or more past your scheduled time. The employees look stressed beyond imagination and act like Disney employees forced to work in Guantanamo Bay. The urban outfitters a few doors down is safer and you spend a lot less there. I don’t understand how this the most expensive store on third street promenade and somehow the least safe.

Horrible service lmao. Sent my phone to fix a little line on the screen got it back with a quarter of the screen working, the charging port broken, and the power button doesn’t do anything meaning I can’t shut off or pay anything with my phone. Stupid store go to century city instead.

I bought my Apple 16 pro max at this store on 2/23/2025 along with supplies and spent a good amount of money. One of the things I bought was a Belkin screen protector and the reason I spent the money on it was the sales person told me if it broke I could take in to any Apple store and they will replace for free, well mine broke and I went to the store I bought it from with receipt and Belkin warranty only to find out that they will only put it on not replace it that I had to go to Belkin to get it replaced, THIS IS SHADY HAS AS HELL.. Your salespeople need to be trained not to trick customers like this and I will be reporting this store to the better business burau.

Awful help at this store. Don’t bother making an appointment, it means nothing. You will wait forever just to see someone who won’t listen or help.
The staff seems friendly and helpful, but they really just heard you to a table to wait forever. Then a staff member
comes over, says they can’t help without paying for a new device, and won’t listen to your questions.
Better off just sticking with Samsung - the new iPhones are terrible and there’s no support here, so you might as well save some money and just go with the better product.
