Olga is the best, we had a difficult tax year last year & she was so helpful. It was my first time being an independent contractor & she walked me through every step and how I should be doing my taxes. I can't express enough on how helpful she is & how easy she made the process

I go to Block Advisors on Wilshire Blvd, Santa Monica, for many years. My tax advisor is Maria Elena Cabral. She is very professional, knowledgeable & always gives me best advice. I'm very happy with her help & support. I recommend her to all my friends & family!!

NOTE: this is for a disgusting man named Alejandro Popoca, the acting manager of the location & NOT AT ALL about the incredible Maria, who everyone else has praised in these reviews for being an amazing tax professional, and a genuine sweetheart. that is 100% correct.I strongly advise any regional management team, or even corporate management teams look into this young man -- his behavior his customer service skills, or lack there of his lack of emotional intelligence, and most important his inability to be accountable, perhaps the most important pillar of managing any type of business, but especially a Business where you are handling peoples personal most valuable information. I have already filed a corporate complaint, but as we all know those tend to go nowhere, so I just advise you that if you should choose to do business here, be aware that the immature young man who presents himself as a manager is nothing short of a verbally abusive bully who berated a woman on the phone, and proceeded to embarrass himself and everyone that works for him on April 10, 2023. I only wish every phone call was recorded. This will truly be newsworthy and a corporate eyesore for H&R Block if it ever went public.after the events that took place at this location on April 10, 2023 I will absolutely be protecting my identity, my personal information and my physical health due to the egregious and disgusting nature of the phone call that I had with someone who is absolutely ill-equipped to be a manager of anything, let alone a tax preparation business. he should be fired. He should be banned from any responsibilities surrounding customer service, and I hope that no one ever has experience what I experienced.

I am super disappointed with H&R Block: I picked all the premium options and chose Elizabeth Lee as the tax expert since she was highlighted as the expert with the most experience and knowledge about foreign taxes, investments, etc. – and in reality, I had just one call in the middle of the working day (there was no option to schedule an appointment neither virtual nor in the office) where she followed the do-your-own taxes interface (I know because tried to do it myself) and didn't suggest me not a single tax option that I had. So there is no "max refund guaranteed." Still, that could be tolerated, but even after 3 weeks no one followed up with me, and no one answered messages or anything - so this was a useless waste of time. I highly do not recommend either H&R Block or this particular specialist. The same can be done either by yourself or in any other service. The funniest thing is that I don't know the price of this tax preparation service because there is no information about it in their interface.Past 1.5 months still no call, but instead H&R Block for some reason without my authorization filed an extensions for taxes. So they not only wasted my time, but also started to make damage.

WARNING - Do not use MARIA ELENA CABRAL at this location. She has been beyond unprofessional and really nothing short of disrespectful. Our family member passed away and we needed to take care of tax matters for her. Since she used Maria previously we figured she would be able to handle it. Maria has proved us wrong. She has missed appointments and blown us off for over 2 months. Will not respond to emails or phone calls. Every time we are told she is with a client. I guess we aren't clients she cares about. She has a lot of private and sensitive information which we have to figure out how to get back now. H&R Block support has not been helpful either. I highly recommend you find someone else to take care of your taxes unless you don't mind this level of unprofessionalism.

I submitted my tax documents a month before the filing date. When looking at the website it showed that the tax pro was working on my return. The day before they were due they still weren't done. I called the office for help today and Maria Elena Cabral was extremely rude, condescending, and didn't listen to a word I said. She actually hung up on me and now the office won't answer my calls. My taxes are late, and I have no idea when they'll get done. The price was very misleading as well. I got charged over $400 for something I could have done myself. What a rip-off from a rude undeserving person. If I could give them less than one star I would! Maria Elena Cabral you might just be the rudest human I have ever spoken to. I'll pray for your soul, you need it!

My advisor Elizabeth Lee is someone who clearly keeps herself educated in the ever changing tax environment. We trust her and her advanced knowledge and experience. We have recommended her to others, and will do so in the future. Thanks! -Neil

Liz Lee did not return my calls or email when I needed to reach her. She also overcharged me over $100. I had to bring this to her attention, or I would have overpaid. She also failed to tell me that I would need to file quarterly in 2019, so I ended up paying a penalty of $350. She knew I had another $50,000 investment income in addition to my job, so she should have advised me to meet with her quarterly.
