The quality of Browns Cleaners' craftsmanship and their ability to care for couture and other beautiful things is unsurpassed. I've lived in Santa Fe, New Mexico for 5 years and I still take or send all of my dry cleaning (including cotton shirts) to Browns Cleaners.

Brown's is the best dry cleaning in Los Angeles. People complain about the price... but you get what you pay for. If you care about your clothes, bring them to Brown's. The girls are great and they'll take care of you.

I used to be a costumer in film/tv. This was the ONLY place to get the finest couture and expensive clothes immaculately cleaned and altered with extreme detailed care. Everyone knows Browns is expensive - but you get what you pay for. If you pay a fortune for a piece of clothing that you love - you want it done right. If your clothes do not need the extreme attention - then there are other cleaners. But the very BEST in Southern California is Browns!

Highway robbery! Just moved to the area and dropped off a suit, tie and a couple of shirts for dry cleaning since it was the closest spot to my new place. I was charged $129!! One hundred and twenty nine US dollars for one outfit to be cleaned. I’ve lived in a lot of places and taken my clothes to “fancy” cleaners but $79 just to clean a jacket and suit pants is hilarious and offensive.

I noticed my Gucci t shirt had coffee stains and had no idea how long they the stains had been there ... i went to browns and they were able to remove them ! Cost $40ish but worth it!

I recently borrowed a friend's gorgeous, $1000 white linen dress for a dinner party. Unfortunately, someone bumped into me with a glads of red wine which left easily 1/3 of the dress completely stained and ruined. I took the dress to my three usual dry cleaners who I previously thought could do anything, and they all turned me away and said it was totally impossible, the dress was ruined. Horrified, I went to my friend to apologize and offer to pay for the dress, when she suggested I take it to Brown's. They'd taken care of some of her most special pieces and she said if anyone could fix it, it was them. I brought the dress and they told me with confidence, they could fix it. $85 and 1 week later, the dress was as good as new. Completely pristine. I couldn't believe it. Yes, it's expensive. But like other reviewers have said, you don't take your normal, easy stuff here. It was worth every penny, they saved a really special dress from complete ruin.

Buyer Beware! Really beware!! Despite Brown's REALLY EXPENSIVE prices, they use to deliver on what they said they would do to get stains out of clothing. But, my last two experiences, they did not get the stains out of my garments. To my mistake which I acknowledge, I gave Brown's the benefit of the doubt on the first experience, but now I've had a second, bad experience in a row, so I have to give Brown's a poor/awful/bad rating. INSANELY EXPENSIVE for inferior service and not willing to reimburse me... Brown's said in regard to my second stained garment they couldn't clean "it's my problem, not theirs" and wouldn't reimburse me. Spend your money more wisely on a dry cleaner who can deliver.

The WORST experience I've ever had with a business. My best friend dropped her wedding dress off to be cleaned BEFORE her wedding. She just wanted it dry cleaned and freshened up- a very simple gown with no detail. Her father passed away 2 weeks ago and getting through the day has been a struggle to say the least- especially with him passing unexpectedly 3 weeks before her wedding. She was never given a quote or receipt for how much they were going to charge and she didn't ask due to her exhaustion and delirium from the death of her father. She picked up the dress and was charged an outrageous price of $450. She burst into tears and paid the bill. I went to speak to the owner to ask for some sort of refund to compensate for them not giving her a quote or receipt. The owner was extremely rude and had zero sympathy for my friends situation. She gave me a whopping $40 and told me my friend should have been the one to be proactive about the situation. A complete rip off for an easy job for a simple dress. We are outraged and will never do business with them again. Born and raised in LA I will tell everyone I know about how rude and insensitive the owner was.
