Very disappointing experience this afternoon. I simply wanted to get change for a $100 bill and I provided my driver license without being asked for identification. My family has lived one block from this branch for a very longtime. My wife has an account at this branch and I was attempting to get change for a babysitter. I was told that they could not provide this service as I did not have account. I asked for the branch manager and she also refused to do so. What has happened to customer service folks ? This is completely unacceptable. I will be reaching out to corporate customer service and post another review after.

Fortunately I have been having good to great experiences at this branch. Karina Fuentes had lots kindness when she helped me in 2022. Most recently the manager Robinson Ortiz has been very enthusiastic and professional. He brings positive energy to the entire team there, with a local feel for me as the customer. Mark has been a great part of the team. I know how big banks can be ragged on, but this location has been great with this team. Pls keep the same team, and keep doing what you're doing. Thanks

Worst bank for small business ever. Do not open an account here. It is impossible to get help either online or in person. I stayed on hold for 1 hour before they hung up on me. Stay away from this bank if you are a business owner! Mark R does not return emails nor phone calls.

Impossible to access account either online or by phone without a debit card--and upon opening an account at the branch, no one bothers to tell you that piece of information. The 800 number is completely useless. Endless waits on hold, listening to recordings, and then the system hangs up on you.

Went to add my son to my account. Told the account Mgr he was 16. After spending at least 10 minutes inputting things she tells me she can't do it because he is a minor. She went and got the manager who then said the same and I said the other branch said no problem. After a few minutes of my arguing he asked how old my son was and said "oh yes he's 16 that is ok". But I had already told the account manager. She spends another 10 minutes inputting things only to then tell me the original birth certificate and passport was not enough ID, that he needs an original social security card! I know this too is not accurate from the other branch and because many many people don't even have their SS original card. THIS IS THE WORST BANK AND WORST BRANCH! I will be moving to First Republic, a locally managed and operated and customer oriented bank!

This branch seems to make up its own rules. I attempted to make a credit card payment with cash and was informed that this bank does not accept cash for payments. I asked to speak to a manager who came up with a lame excuse indicating that if we receive cash from you we do not know where it came from. This branch always has issues with any kind of transaction. I have never heard of a bank not accepting a minimal amount of cash. Citi customer service is also a joke.

Fernando Sanabia is a great human! Yesterday I went in to open a account and I was in a horrible mood, I was rude and highly irritated. Fernando's energy was so warm and inviting within 10 minutes my energy totally changed!! You can't help but love this man, it takes zero energy to be kind and I learned that yesterday. Not only did help make the process easy I learned how to be better and do better. You are a gift. Thank you

Do not trust this citibank. I closed my account due to poor customer services and withholding $400 that was due to me. Bank tried to get away with not paying the $400 promotional amount for opening a checking and saving account. Promotion was for opening both accounts and keep money in there for 3 months then bank gives you $400 after 6 months. I had to go to branch and ask for it. Basically if you don't notice and if you don't go the bank then they don't give you the amount that was offered through the promotion. Imagine how many people move or die or get sick every year and they can't follow through... imagine how many people are older and they don't remember to follow through... imagine how many people don't get paid and bank takes all the fees and benefit. I don't trust this back anymore. I closed both account. Bad experience with customer service as well.

All the negative comments on here, dating back to 2013, likely have a basis in fact. I've also had nothing but hassles at this branch. I have tried to cash checks here, checks drawn on Citibank. As a non-customer, they either won't do it at all or ask you ridiculous questions like what is your profession and what is your social security number! BUT, as I learned, if you go to their Westwood branch, it's "in a different zone" of the company, and they have different policies there! So I had to go there to cash a check drawn on Citi, and didn't have to answer any invasive questions. ???? A "different zone" with different corporate policies?? What, is Citi on Montana an office of the FBI or IRS? THEN, two weeks back, I wanted to deposit for a friend who lives in Thailand, his stimulus check that had come to me (he uses my address for his mail). I had the proper account number, but because there was a slight difference in the way the check was made out, compared to name Citi has on his account, they refused to accept the check for deposit. Teller went to branch manager who again refused check for deposit. SO, I went to another branch, this one in West LA, and **poof**, there was no problem, check was deposited without any difficulty. Avoid this branch as best you can, unless you like 1) ridiculously inconvenient and short hours, compared to other major banks; 2) want hassles as I have described above; 3) enjoy tight parking; 4) like the circa 1983 dark wood, dated interior which looks like a brokerage office would look in the early 1980's, nice and traditional. Oh yeah they only fairly recently removed a rutted wood stand-up table where you endorse etc., the pen would get stuck in the table's pits and ruts. Would also be nice if the branch explained why they operate under different rules than other Citi branches in neighboring neighborhoods or "zones"!

The people that work there all look like they hate their jobs; it's the most unwelcoming experience. I asked to speak with a Manager and no one has contacted me almost two weeks later. Then I went into the branch again and was given an email to contact someone and it's the wrong email. Then I called and it took about 15 tries to get to the branch as the automatic answering directs you to corporate if the branch is "busy". Once I got to a person in the branch and asked to speak to a Manager, they said "no one can help you with that". I said I would still like to talk to a Manager and he said "I'm telling you they can't help you". Basically he denied me the option and I've been a customer for 30 years. The bank itself has gone so downhill.... calling corporate gets you to the Philippines or some other foreign country.

Moises E. Ortega (Branch Manager) only gets out of his chair if your rich or a man of color who he is asking to leave his bank. I have banked with Citibank for 20 years. I have great credit, great banking history, made large deposits, but thats not enough for Mr. Ortega to release an FDIC insured banking check at his branch. He told me out of his own mouth that he doesn't know me personally and doesn't want to lose his job releasing a check issued from a large insured bank. When I asked him why? Are you profiling me? He smiled and told me that he doesn't know me. I suggested that he pull up my account and check my deposit history, credit history, account history, he wouldn't even lift a finger. He kept repeating that the wasn't getting fired for me. When I asked him for his business card he jumped up from his chair and yelling at me to leave his bank. Citi - This man needs to go! he is a walking lawsuit waiting to happen.

Had a really bad experience at this branch. Went in to get some cash recently and made the mistake of not checking my receipt before leaving the teller window. I was given the amount I had requested from my account by the teller but when I checked my account online the next day, I found that my account had been debited a lot more than I had requested and I never received the amount of cash actually shown on my account and the receipt once I finally checked it. I immediately tried to call the branch but got no answer so called Citibank Customer Service and filed a report. Well, they did an investigation and just informed me that they did not find anything to support my claim so, of course, I'm out the money. My advice, if you go to this branch, use the ATM only, o,r if you need to use a teller, always check you receipt BEFORE leaving the teller window or you'll end up like me - short a bunch of money!!!! Very upsetting and disappointing!

Unfortunately Yelp doesn't have the ability to give literal negative reviews. Had a horrible experience at this Citibank branch. Today, I went in to deposit some checks to a checking/savings account and within 5min of stepping out was followed by a citi bank employee and told to leave the lot due to "limited parking". I often go to this branch and people park there and walk into Whole Foods or other near by businesses. Today my experience at this Citibank branch was entirely unnecessary and felt very racially discriminated against. Shame on this branch.

Put cash in and it never came up in my account ! Only a slip that said to call a number was put on hold and transferred for hours for them to tell me it will take 10-15 businesses days for my money to get in my account .. gave the bank a call in the morning and they said they found my cash and that it would be in my account the next day . Not in my account still

Citicard. I had a very bad experience with the card. I paid $24. via snail mail. The check was stolen. I called their number and was disconnected, Then I recalled and was told I had to pay $49. 24+ late payment. I cancelled the card and forfeited almost 400 reward points. bad service. bad card. Citi bank shame on you. I dont have late payments.
