I like their specialty items - they sell foods that I can't find anywhere else. The prices are exorbitant though, and I've brought home moldy produce on a few occasions ( grapes and bell peppers). Overall, I love the convenience of this store - it's right down the street from me, so I can walk over and get my 10% membership discount once a month. I hope they read this review and keep a closer eye on their produce!

The worst experience ever. I used to frequent this establishment 12 years ago daily when I lived up the street. I ordered 2 smoothies and a sandwich and it literally took them 39 minutes to get it together when there was no one in line ahead of me. Never ever again will I spend $59 on lunch there waste of time and it wasn't even made well. People need to be trained again.

The Co-Opportunity Market on Broadway in Santa Monica is officially my favorite co-op of all time. They have a wide selection of items, and I love that they have gluten-free bread options (I went with the Base Culture Keto Bread for $8.49) and and they also have lactose-free and cane sugar-free ice creams like Fronen (I went with the mint chip ice cream for $6.99). The cashier was also very friendly, the store is clean, they have a small parking lot right out front, and I will definitely be returning. Note, you do not need to be a member of the co-op to shop here, but they do have special pricing if you are a member.

Shopping here is great. Like a scavenger hunt, you'll always find something interesting. I particularly favor the cold pressed shots and drinks since they're no joke. Savor it or split it into many drinks; they're worth it.

If you are very wealthy enjoy this store. Was a splurge for me and I won't be back anytime soon I tried a $13 smoothie with peanut butter cacao and some other things Was tasty but $13 plus tax!?? Make at home! The seasonal smoothies were $19 SMOOTHIES FOR NINETEEN DOLLARS? Of course the ambience and service is great When you're robbing folks for smoothies you better be nice!

Nice smaller grocery store with generally good products. Pricey, but good. Very good veggies and fruits. Good wine options.I bought a whole organic chicken which was pricey, but amazing, definitely worth the extra $.Later, I went back and bought a filet mignon. I marinated it, cooked it, and rested it to a perfect medium rare. It was so chewy that I believe it was a mislabeled sirloin steak or another cheaper cut (for the price of a p filet). Couldn't eat it. So don't buy the filet mignon.

Really disappointed to have to make this review, after going to both locations here in LA, I discovered that one of the herbs I routinely shop for was not pure or was mixed with another herb. Since it is the 2nd location in LA that had the same issue for that herb, I’m not sure what to think other than to question the integrity of my purchase. I’ve ordered from their source “StarWest Botanicals” in the past both online & in person & so I know it’s a reputable brand. Therefore I’m not sure if there was just a mistake with the packing itself or at the grocery store itself. I know exactly which herb it’s mixed with because I’ve been able try many little by little over time after stopping by many grocery stores. And the herb that it’s mixed with is not the same at all. It may look the same but they serve 2 separate purposes & they don’t taste the same when preparing it for an herbal tea.Honestly I’ve never had this happen to me before. It’s disappointing because I truly support them I always try to buy in bulk so I don’t have to come back again or anytime I happen to be close by to support this store. I also feel lied to that I am purchasing an item that’s not what it’s labeled to be.Not to mention that monitoring/feeling you get at some grocery stores. I always buy and I always make purchases. I am aware that Coop isn’t the only grocery store that has this pattern as I’ve seen other Google reviews of customers from other grocery stores that have the same issue of security guards following you around even though your a regular customer. Really disappointing and discriminatory.

The most unpleasant of experiences. Belligerent & hostile employees who do not know a thing about the products they sell but do know directions to the nearest McDonald's. Which these employees are better suited for! Those with good hearts & a concience should not patronize this store.

No one picks up the phone here. This is very disappointing. It just cycles through the options and the phone rings forever ...........

Great food. All produce is organic. Excellent make your own juice or smoothie bar. Best neighborhood market. has most of what you would need but tiny compared to whole foods down the way in Venice.

The best healthy shopping in Santa Monica. Organic with friendly staff. There’s a salad bar. There’s a hot bar with gluten free options. It’s awesome.

Our family is a member and appreciates the bulk food items section of the Co-op. I especially enjoy stocking up on apple pie spice and cinnamon; it costs me under 50c to replenish a jar that usually costs $3 to $4 or more elsewhere. And it's fresher too. Also special thank you to the Co-Op for their generous support of the McKinley PTA; our staff enjoyed a lovely fruit platter they were able to share with us.
