I saw some negative reviews on this place and ignored them due to the fact that I was going in for a very very simple fix on my watch. Thought that he was capable of doing one of the most basic tasks when it comes to watch repair. Ended up scratching my watch band and went someone else an hour later. New business took care of it no problem. Just avoid Danny's Not only does this guy not know what he's doing...he has a shitty attitude while doing it.

This store is the best! Super helpful and kind. Looks rough from the front but good people on the inside that know watches. They fixed my watch in 15 minutes for a very affordable price.

This place is criminal. Do not buy from them, do not get service from them for anything. I asked them to replace a watch band (pretty simple exercise) and the repair man was extremely rude . I paid $30 for this…

This place is absolutely criminal. Do not buy items here and do not come here for any repairs or replacements. I was charged $30 to have a new watch band put on (which I ordered on my own separately) and the outcome was it looked like he glued it on with shoe strings and bubble gum. repair man was extremely rude and in considerate. it is a shady place where you will get ripped off and horrible quality. They should (and likely will be) out of business in very short order.

This Watch shop overcharged me for a simple battery change. When I've gone to Montana Watch shop (which is superior to Danny's Watch shop), Jack (the owner of Montana Watch Shop) only charged me $20 for a battery change. At Danny's Watch Shop charged by 4x as much for $80 for a simple battery change. I definitely don't recommend going to Danny's Watch Shop whatsoever! Avoid at all costs! If you want to have your watch repaired by an expert Watch repair person with reasonable prices and friendly service: I definitely recommend the Montana Watch Shop at 1617 Montana Avenue, Santa Monica, CA 90403. Their phone is: (310) 394-0711.

I wish I had read these reviews before going here to have a watch battery replaced yesterday, and if I could give negative stars, I would. I had them replace a watch battery and didn't ask the cost in advance. After replacing the battery, I was told it was an expensive battery and was charged $65. Since it was already inserted, I paid the invoice to get my watch back. Today, I had five watch batteries replaced elsewhere. They also made adjustments to some of the watches. The total cost was $61.55. These people are crooks!

I stopped by to get a new battery for my watch. I thought perhaps they were out of business because all the lights were off, but as I was walking away, I noticed a caged door blocking an open doorway. I looked in and spoke to the man in the darkness, at the back of the room. He came forward and says, "what you want?" He then gestured for me to pass my watch through the caged door and walked away. I asked him to respond and he said "wait there," leaving me on the sidewalk. What respectable business does that? 15 minutes later he say "$20 cash." He won't take credit and tells me to go to an ATM. This shop is dirty, caged up and shows no respect for the customers. BTW, all the products are dusty and from the 80's - and no one is allowed inside - so you know he's not selling anything. A bit suspicious. There's a great watch/clock business on Montana avenue that charges much less while providing a wonderful customer experience.

Weirdo. Place looks like a decrepit liquor store. He makes you hand over your watch through a security gate. Overcharges on changing a battery, and then holds your watch random as he tells you cash only. So then I had to go and get cash which he's obvisouly not paying sales tax on, just so I can get my watch back. I asked him " how much does a battery cost?" He says "50c" and I ask how long does it take? He says "1 min". So I say you're rate is $600 an hour? He shrugs his shoulders...

Avoid this place at all cost. Just spend $120 on 2 battery replacement. The business ONLY accepts cash without issuing a receipt. My mistake not to ask the cost on watch battery replacement as I wanted to support a local business but it feels more like I got ripped off. Will never go there again!!!!
