Since the 1st location I went to on Ocean Park still smells like the bathroom pipes exploded I ended up at this Wilshire Blvd location which is a bit hard to find. You can't really see a sign from the street unless maybe coming from the beach. The driveway sign says the place has limited parking and posts rates for your time going thru the gate. Upon entering the bank you'll find the place is enormous. There were 3 tellers waiting for a customer so I approached and asked if this is where I can do a wire transfer. 1 teller wasn't interested. 1 teller tried to send me to a guy at a desk that could do it but I'd be second as a lady was already waiting and she looked impatient like she had been there awhile. The 3rd teller said she would try to do the transfer and asked me 5 times if it was a domestic or international transfer. After answering the question for the 5th time she told me that I'd need to have it done before 1p. The time currently was 10:50am. I decided to not waste her or my time and avoid any mistakes and to schedule an appointment to come back and get it handled. I asked 4 times if I could make an appointment and still walked away with no appointment time as the lady was offended that I didn't want to take any chances using her unsure skills. HOW DOES THIS BANK STAY IN BUSINESS?

first Citizens Bank has BAD SVC. Mgr at Ocean Pk is a no-show. There is a Filipino Look ady at front desk, one has to make appt to see her. She has no idea what she is doing. Folks be aware - I'm cllosing my account. Cit Bank was v good. The new crew is terrible. When complaint is filed there is no call back.

Zero star if possible, the WORSE customer service I have ever had from a bank. Received an invoice from the last bank and paid it. When presented to this "new" bank trying to access my safe deposit box, they told me the price has gone up and if I do not pay the difference plus the late fee, I cannot go to my safe! Called the wife on phone and she stated she had spoken with a staff already and the problem was taken care of. I GUESS NOT! Spoke to the manager to waive the late fee and I paid the new rental rate difference. Fast forward to my wife's visit, they wanted the late fee, the manager NEVER did credit the late fee into the account. One CANNOT build a business this way! Will never bank with them, ever. Frontline staff have no choice but to implement company policies. I hold the management responsible for poor customer service. Btw, this review is on First Citizen. I thought OneWest was substandard, First Citizen has beaten them

I had a safe deposit box with One West before 1st Citizens Bank took over. Just before the transition to 1st Citizens, I emptied my box and closed the account. To my surprise, this December 1st Citizens sent an invoice. I called them to tell them the account was closed but they insisted I must come in person to close it out (again) at the original branch. I am elderly and live 200 miles from that branch. If I do not comply it will go to collections and damage my credit. I'm still looking for the proper government agency to file a complaint with.

I would love to give them 5 stars but I won't because I specifically told the bankers to use my private mailbox address and not my personal address. Twice they sent to my personal address which they kept saying that my private mailbox address is on file. Even if it's on file, you don't send to my personal address at all! Now my app locked me out!

This is the second time a teller at this bank has mistyped someone else's checking account number so that the check their payee was depositing ended up coming out of my account instead of the one listed on the check in question. The first time was back when it was still One West Bank, and while their customer service managed to fix the error, when I called this branch to look into the matter of individual accountability, even the assistant manager acted like a simple apology should have been sufficient to excuse the mistake of almost $400 missing from my account. There was no promise to hold responsible the person who had actually made the mistake or even to identify the person on their end. FCB customer service was similarly very helpful in reversing the mistake today, and they took it upon themselves to investigate the issue at the branch level, but it is inexcusable that such a mistake could happen at all, let alone twice.

I just wished to share that I had the most amazing customer service with OneWest Bank and Jennifer. After opening up an account, I have been traveling abroad and needed help to get everything set up and working. I called from out of the country and someone actually answered the phone - Jennifer. She was polite and informed - she took 15 mins of uninterrupted time to help me set up online banking, Zelle etal. It was really touch to speak with a live rep who knew the system and my account and was so willing to help. If you are looking for friendly and accessible banking/bankers in the Los Angeles area - I highly recommend them. Way to go OneWest Bank at 401 Wilshire!!!
