This location gives great tutoring. Ed is very responsive and flexible with scheduling. Angel is an amazing tutor truly cares and goes above and beyond for student. Very creative way of keep child focused and engaged in learning.

Our daughter has been attending Sylvan for the past couple of years, and we’re thrilled with how much she’s grown. We’ve noticed her progress in both her regular reviews with the director and the feedback from her teachers at school. We’re planning to keep her there - she loves spending time with her tutors, who are always there, balance pushing her to learn, and making learning fun. We also appreciate that the director helps her and us understand what she’ll be expected to do as she moves through middle school and high school. We’ve tried other programs and private tutors, but Sylvan has been the best experience by far.

My kids, like most, are not the most fond of school work so I was a little worried sending them to a tutoring camp during summer. To my surprise, they absolutely loved going here. They were actually bummed to be leaving! They thrived in the 1 on 1 environment and loved that their teachers took the time to help them understand the work they were learning. They have a great point system to keep the kids motivated and work on achieving goals. I also loved the different extracurricular activities they had like piano and Spanish which was a great bonus to add to their line up.
Ed has always been clear and concise about the process and patient to answer any questions I had as well. We had an amazing experience overall and hope to be back! Thank you guys!

My daughter had a lot of math anxiety. She was tearful about having a teacher who offered no support. She was certain she was destined to fail. After just 1 week at Sylvan Santa Monica, her whole attitude changed. She said, the tutor she had made everything seem easy for her. She is now confident she will get an A. The convenient location on Lincoln is the cherry on top of this math Sunday. She goes 3x a week getting her homework done and prepped for the next class. What a turn around! Money well spent. I strongly recommend Sylvan Santa Monica for anyone who wants to help their kids succeed academically.

My son has done so well at Sylvan, we are extremely grateful. He went from being convinved he was bad at math to getting perfect or near perfect scores on tests and being invited to the advanced math circle at his school. The confidence switch happened almost immediatly. I don't know how, but he just felt like he could do it. The most unexpected part of all of it is that he actually likes going, Thank you!

Ed at Sylvan spent time explaining the process of tutoring at Sylvan and making sure I was comfortable signing up my child. My son enjoys his time to focus on reading without the distractions of a busy classroom

My child went from being one of the lowest in her class to one of the highest in just a few months. Her tutor Rebecca is just amazing! She makes my daughter comfortable and really breaks things down to help her understand. I highly recommend this location if you’re looking to invest in your child’s education!

Quality tutoring often last minute and different subjects. I have a busy high schooler involved in different sports teams and extracurricular activities and will need to squeeze in some extra help with Math or AP Bio and there is always a quality tutor available to help out. Ed in charge there is kind and accommodating. Highly recommend!

This place is AMAZING. My son is definitely on the quiet side normally and sometimes can take a little bit of time to warm up and feel comfortable. However from the second my son walked into this center he has always felt comfortable. They have helped him in so many ways. The tutors and Ed are absolutely amazing and I can’t thank them enough for the environment that they’ve created!

Sylvan of SM is wonderful! Ed is the supervisor and is incredibly attentive to the kids and their parents' needs. He responds to my texts and calls right away. He is very invested in the kids' success. AND, most importantly, my teenage daughter has never once expressed an unwillingness to go, which is saying a lot for a place that makes you do schoolwork!
