Adventuring around town and came across this museum! What a fun place for children to explore and learn. They have interactive environments with a mock shopping area, bumble bee nest, outdoor garden, tractors and so much more. The guy at the front working was also so nice and informative when I asked alt of questions. Great place to go and learn a little about the history of agriculture! Has some great little items in the shop as well. Highly recommend for a family outing! Overall, 5/5 stars!

My kids love the agriculture museum! We hadn't been here in a couple of months and they added a new area that feel like a very comfortable living room. They have books, crafts and you can take a picture and hang it up on the wall for others to see. I love that there's a lot of hands on things the kids can use to for playing and learning. They have a little area with a pretend farmers market that my kids absolutely love! There is also a very large garden area in the back and last time we were there they had a gardening box designed for kids to play and "plant" veggies. It's free for this year and hopefully it continues to be free, but they do need donations so if you can please consider donating to them.

The museum is free admission, donations accepted. It is small, but quite a charming space inside an authentic barn. There are several activities for kids in the back and there is a lovely outdoor garden space. The volunteer staff are usually very friendly and engaging.

A lovely museum to spend 2 - 3 hours in. It’s full of really cool tractors and machinery, so the kids will get a kick out of that as will the adults who appreciate advancement in technology. Definitely family/children oriented, there are play pretend farmer areas, a live beehive, etc. And it’s all FREE! Leave a donation if you feel like it, and you’ll most likely want to because this museum is informative, clean, friendly staff, and a nifty gift shop as well. ?

Touring around inland Ventura County for Farm Day yesterday we ended up at the Ag Museum. It was a great way for Sweet Granddaughter to play for a while as Dear Hubby and I got to chill out and reflect on our day out.The two women at the front desk were very welcoming. The museum presently has its admissions fees sponsored, so it's free to attend, but donations are welcome and I was happy to add to the their box for contributions. From there we were treated to bright, festive colors throughout for Dia de los Muertos displays. In the back room, past various historic farm vehicles, is a haven for kids. They have a Farmers Market area as a play space. SG picked a red apron from a rainbow of colors to choose from to start her tending-the-market adventure. Lots of faux fruits and veggies fill bins to "shop" from, and a replica cash register is there to ring up purchases. She had a blast there. There's also a transportation area with train set pieces, and assorted cars and trucks for kids to play with (which can turn into extended sessions), which SG also loved.Don't miss the outside garden area in back. Since our last visit several years ago this area has been developed into a plant outdoor space. Rock-lined paths meander through planted areas, with signs explaining what's happening in each area. Picnic tables offer a place to gather, rest, and take a break before the next activity.SG took to the corn hole game boards, and then became a sidewalk chalk artist. I wandered around the garden area and snapped some photos. Dear Hubby got to chill for a while, then helped with the chalk art. They stage various events here throughout the year. The restored agriculture warehouse is a great venue for many activities. It's a great resource for Ventura County!

The museum is in the historic Santa Paula railroad station. The staff is just wonderful. The museum is actually very impressive with what they have on display. I learned things I didn't know about the Chumash boat building. As a side note, my friend did her Masters thesis on the history of the Chumash and they were and are wonderful people.

Visited with my daughter's 2nd grade class. Great experience for both students and adults. We were in four groups while participating in four different learning activities that taught about agricultural life. Bees were spotlighted as well with a visible active beehive that's built into the wall. Super Awesome! Tons of information and an amazing staff as well. Open to public Thurs thru Sunday I believe from about 11am to late afternoon. Admission is free. Gift shop on site with lots of cool stuff too.°°°°FUN FACT JUST LEARNED ON TRIP°°°°*Female bees are the ones that leave the hive to find nectar and pollen.*Males are drones in the hive with no stingers

I loved my visit here, especially the outdoor garden in the back. Talk about being in my happy place! The garden was inviting and educational, and gave me so much inspiration for what we can do at home in our own backyard. I'll definitely be back!
