Eric has been a delight to work with. He did my taxes for 2017 and I was ecstatic to find out I had a return coming to me. He did my taxes in a timely manner. A very professional individual I would recommend him to friends and family.

Found Eric through Yelp and discovered my parents were using him too. I seriously regret using him and so do my parents. My experience: We were seeking guidance in our taxes since we had a lot of changes happen last year. We had to ask if things were deductible. Which I think that should have been something a professional tax preparer should know. Eric blamed the tax worksheet was not completed but neglected to send it before our meeting as promised. We ended up filling it out there under his guidance. I had Paid Family Leave and unemployment in the same year on the same form. I had to point out after the taxes were prepared, which was overlooked because Eric thought it was a duplicate of the Unemployment. Told me Paid Family Leave was not taxed and now say it is, so I'm unsure if it was processed correctly. After taxes were prepared, we gave Eric our banking information to do direct deposit. Almost a month later, We get a check in the mail for our return. Very frustrating and his excuse to this error was "it was the 11th hour and didnt get it in time". Taxes were completed a week before tax day. When I initially called, I was quoted $160 to $220. Our final bill was $450. If you do Lyft or Uber, expect to pay this much even though I told him this when I called. After explaining my concerns to Eric and giving him the opportunity to resolve the issue his response is "What you perceived as errors were not errors. They were inconveniences". The end result here is you can get the same service and level of proficiency from H&R or TurboTax while saving yourself a few hundred dollars.

My wife and I required a tax extension due to our travels abroad. AEI TAX & FINANCIAL went above and beyond to help us with our tax situation, providing necessary information from our previous years return and even offering to efile our form. This meant a lot to my wife and I and made us happy that we had come to AEI TAX & FINANCIAL for our tax needs. This is the type of customer service that deserves recommendation and acknowledgement, and we hope that others will be as pleased with their experience as we are.

Eric is an excellent source of ongoing IRA wisdom and carries Allianz products that fit my needs. He did my company's taxes when I needed them done first on short turnaround. Eric worked with me to get health insurance coverage through the new Covered California system, and I ended up with equal coverage at a lower cost than I was paying before. He is extremely knowledgeable and competent. Highly recommended.
