I've bought three fairly big-ticket items from these guys, a lawn mower, a weed whacker, and a hedge trimmer. They have been consistently helpful, and went the extra mile to get everything straightened out when I had some issues with my last purchase.I would recommend them wholeheartedly. Good folks, good business.w.

What a difference a new store manager makes! I wrote two very critical reviews about this business after waiting more than 8 months to get any "action" on a warranty repair. The most recent one--star review was in early October 2023. Since that time a great guy named Giovanny was put in charge of the Santa Rosa branch of this business, and within days, my Honda mower was fully repaired. You can also see the difference in the showroom itself, which is much cleaner and better organized. I hope the owner of Action recognizes what a great manager Giovanny is. He is smart, knowledgeable and eager to please his customers. The previous guy was rude, insolent, and unpleasant in every way. I now can wholeheartedly recommend this sales and repair shop.

False advertisement. Confirmed twice on the phone to buy said “$2,200” lawnmower. Drove 3 hours and it ended up being 4K+ after old promotion. Customer next to me was complaining about another mishap with their advertisement. Total waste of time, don’t trust this establishment.

Dropped off a chainsaw over a month ago, never got a call about the repairs. Went to pick it up and they can’t find it. Nearly new chainsaw with minor repair and they lost it. Got a “oops sorry” and they said they have it somewhere but can’t find it. ?

Talk about taking care of business! Best deal of my week to stop by with my non-starting chain saw and have them fix it on the spot! What great service!

Great service, needed parts for my fire pumps that saved my neighborhood from the Glass fire. Now I'm set up for possible repeat. Strongly suggest their pumps for reliable general use and fire fighting.

Horrible place. Bad communication is the least of it. I had a warranty claim which wasn't honored, and I was charged $50 for a new carb, which was done without even giving me a phone call. They would not even give me my old leaf blower carburetor, even though I called them earlier that day and was told I would get it when I picked up my machine. I have bought several machines here over the years. I don't want to even set foot at this store now.

Fantastic place with lots of STHL tools in stock. I purchased a pole saw and gear for pruning trees and Alfredo answered all of my questions that I had between the different models of pole saws and had great knowledge of the differences in performance. I will be a returning customer for sure and I will be recommending the place to all my family and friends.

Horrible repair service. Can't order the right parts to do the job yourself if you wanted to either. Which is how my saw ended up in this wormhole in first place. If they had one brain collaboratively they'd be halfway dangerous. Strictly based on location. Which is why I've wasted tens of thousands of dollars here over the past 15 years. Location convince. Period. Reluctantly lately. No more for me. Out of personal protest and principal. I'm now traveling all the way to Cloverdale saw shop for ALL MY SMALL BUSINESS NEEDS. THEY'RE AWSOME!!! 5 Stars!!! Action power should be banned from operating. Over the years I've spent tens of thousands of dollars on bars, chains, bar and chain oil, 2 stroke mix, and most of my equipment with the exception of my Sthil Magnum 880. Which I happily purchased at Rincon Valley Saw shop at a difference of almost 400$ at the time. These individuals will use the excuse that they are bogged down with first responders equipment and that your repair will be addressed. This is a clever way of gaining your sympathy. Because how can you argue with that. That would insane. Nobody has more respect for our first responders than I do. Trust me. I'm a combat veteran of the United States Marines and served two tours overseas. That being said I also know how much access to resources government agencies local law enforcement and our first responders have to replacement equipment when things go down in service and the fact that if it weren't for small business owners neither of us would be having this debate. So here goes Action power sports and equipment. I turned my saw in before the fires. Months before. Many months. Because your incompetent staff ordered me the wrong part. AGAIN!! I can't emphasize how frustrating this is and how low of a creep you have to be to give me the excuse now that you don't have my saw ready because your priorities are screwed up. Your priorities given the circumstances should be to hire someone who knows what they're doing and more full time repair employees and more competent front desk staff to place orders. At the time I turned my saw in I was on a 5000$ job and needed THAT saw which I was repairing myself the days before leading up to the point on job in which I needed it. Pulled the part out of the box and for a 384$ part you'd think you'd wanna double check at order that it was the correct part. Well it wasn't. Long story long my hands were tied. The next day I ended up having to purchase a whole new saw to finish the job. I will admit at the time I was sold the saw at almost wholesale price. That being said I probably could of got it somewhere else for near that anyways. Given the fact that they are wildly overpriced anyways. I don't ever fill out reviews on places. Ever. Today was my first go at it. Reason being is I want to prevent anyone else from the same frustration as myself and give the business to a shop that cares about it's loyal customers of almost 15 years. I'll leave the owner with these parting words. Tell Jeff to empty his voicemail. Hire more repair employees and more competent front desk staff. Jeff does know his stuff. I'll give him that. But you need 2 more of him full time to service everyone's needs. Also the run arround and the unarguable excuse of taking on jobs for first responders is a low down dirty thing to say. Literally how does one argue that and maintain any kind of face? Well I just did. They have literally unlimited resources compared to small business owners who may have jobs that depend on key pieces of equipment being in service. Unlike a fire line where a saw goes down and another one is waiting in truck to replace it. Us small business owners are outta luck and stretching thin sometimes having to replace equipment we were planning to pay a bit less to have repaired. I can't wait to hear your response. Either way you've lost roughly 10k in revenue yearly from me. Good day to you.

My husband dropped off his chainsaw to be fixed over a year ago and it still isnt done, everytime he calls or goes in Jeff the mechanic isnt working or isnt there. They said he works parttime only. He went the other day to pick up the saw and take it elsewhere to be fixed and they wouldnt give him his saw. They tell my husband jeff the mechanic will call him to give him a update and he never calls. For over a year this has been happening. They are understaffed and are too cheap to hire more help or hire a full time mechanic. Also one of there female workers is always outside smoking cigarettes instead of inside helping customers. I would not reccomend this shop to anyone. We have discovered a new shop in Cloverdale. It is a little bit of a drive but there customer service is wondeful and thats who i reccomend.
