It is ridiculously expensive but so is Safeway. So is everywhere else. I like self check out there because the clerks arent always vibing good. I dont know what it is but they seem a bit snobby in my opinion. With that said they do have excellent employees in other areas. Like the wellness center with makeup herbs and fun stuff. She is awesome. So is produce people. But ive had a few checkers that could watch how they judge people for wanting things double bagged. They also need to be less annoyed if you dont understand how to use your prime membership. Shoot i dont know what to do. It isnt like a self explanatory thing. Chill out if i dont get it. And dont say it wont work for me. I have a prime memership and it was like i was lying just to get a discount. I didnt get a discount because i was blown off. Actually that makes me mad because i spent $57 on 8 items. M efer. Why did i do that? I know! Because i was feeling stupid because of the checker. And i dont snitch people out so i dont look at their names. Maybe they dont wear name tags. Anyways that is why i gave 3 stars.Checkers need to learn they are not the ones who dictate if you have a membership or not. I pay amazon every month for prime just like everyone else. Make it easier to use and don't even ask me to pay with my palm that's not what I'm make it easier for the checkers to show you how to do it if they don't want to maybe they shouldn't work cash register. Whos with me?!

They have great products. Their prices are way too high for the products they sell. Try Trader Joe's. Great products for the lowest prices.

Really under staffed... it's hard to support a business that doesn't take care of their employees. I feel bad for whoever has to work in the deli it's atrocious.

Management if you can read this, please do something PRACTICAL with the water machine. It's not fair to customers that it remains inoperable but still accepts payment.Your staff sounds really tired of explaining it as well. It's irrelevant to the customer that the company who is allegedly responsible for it doesn't want to come take care of it.Put up a sign that says use at your own risk if you aren't allowed to tape it off.It only takes getting robbed of $2.75 to come up with a humble answer like the one above and I'd bet another $2.75 that as supervisors of a multi-million dollar national chain, there are resources available to get the job done or find a reasonable alternative, as well as save Phillip at customer service advising the shoppers to call the number on the machine for assistance..

I used to come here for lunch but I won't anymore because they are severely understaffed and it can take 20-30 minutes to order a sandwich. The salad bar is never full and sometimes there's nothing in it. They get busy around lunchtime and will have 1 or 2 people in the deli.

This place has everything you need like safeway but at a mich higher quality. I have never bought groceries from here and been unhappy with products purchased. Everything from meat, produce, bread, or even sweet treats. I recomend everybody tries to get groceries here once

So everything besides the Burrito/Sandwich station is decent. The entire last month, OVER my partner and I have been trying to get burritos and sandwiches, but not anymore. Each time we have a girl who 1. Makes a tiny burrito with uneven food amounts 2. Doesn't read directions 3. Has a horrible attitude and scoffs when we are genuinely kind [I know how hard it is!] And now same with the sandwiches. Add burnt to that too! Not coming here for that anymore.

A big Whole Foods with more variety than many others in Sonoma County. Very helpful staff. The butcher shop is excellent with their made-in-house items and the butchers are always ready with advice and tips if you ask.

Whole Foods Novato is a haven for organic and high-quality groceries. The selection is extensive, the staff is knowledgeable, and the atmosphere is inviting. A top-notch shopping experience for health-conscious individuals.

Yeah, I know -- it's often called "Whole Paycheck". Not the cheapest, but generally top quality produce, meats, and fish -- which they happily cut per your request. Now owned by Amazon (feel free to 'boo' and 'hiss' if you're so inclined), you'll get 5% off that hefty bill with your Amazon VISA card, and an additional 10% off items that are on sale when you're shopping. Bonus: if you're worried about your Amazon packages getting stolen by porch pirates, have them shipped to the store for painless pickup (or return); delivery is as fast, and often faster than home delivery. Other than the employees who are laser-focused on their mission to fill online orders for delivery, everyone else is helpful and seems pretty happy to see you there

Wooboy, this place is awful. Easily the worst grocery store experience of all time--hands down. Some words of advice: avoid this place. But, if you can't, only use it to buy a handful of items or odds and ends. This store (and the employees) are not built for your weekly grocery trips. In the event that you find yourself here against this advice, eat and drink something first. Ultimately, you'll find yourself here for 90+ minutes searching for things on your list, with nobody to help you. Dehydration will set in, followed by hangriness, and just make the shopping experience that much worse. Oof.It's poorly organized, poorly run, and it's clear that the people working there feel the same way. Imagine a grocery store organized by blind chimps. That's this place. But worse. From start to finish a horrible shopping experienxe. Even at checkout you have to deal with checkers that hate their jobs and you have to bag your own groceries (or wait 30 minutes for them to do it because they don't have baggers, apparently). The only thing stopping me from giving it zero stars were the two employees that were actually kind and helpful. The others were just as annoyed as I was to be there.

Whole foods usually has a huge selection of food, drink, and supplement options, but this location is super busy and seems to struggle to keep the store organized, clean and well stocked. The tap room concept is cool, but it feels a little odd to sit in a bar inside a grocery store. Overall, it is a passable grocery, but I prefer other health food stores that are more locally owned and operated. Many health food stores have a sort of pride of ownership, and unique character... but since the Amazon takeover I can't shake the feeling that shopping here is just supporting some billionaires vanity project instead of really building local community. But I do respect that they have created many jobs, bright a lot of technology to the forefront, and really advanced the grocery industry... And many people shop nowhere else.

Normally I have no issues shopping at Whole Foods but today was a different story of profiling and bullying by bored Bezos employees (Wes and management) at 10am on a Wednesday. We paid using the self check out machine, and after we paid and started walking out of the store, an employee came up behind us and asked if we were having problems with the machine. With the receipt in my hand, I told him no and continued to exit the store. As we were getting in the car to drive away, we noticed he followed us out of the store. While pulling out of the parking lot, the employee took out his phone and took a picture of our car. We immediately parked and went back into the store to speak to a manager about the harassing behaviour of this employee. When the manager got to the customer service desk, we explained what just happened and showed him the receipt to prove that we paid for our items. Right away, his tone was accusatory and he told us we could have just taken that receipt out of the trash. He refused to hear any further concerns from us until the employee involved in the incident was present. We then learned that the employee was a team leader named Wes. With the manager and Wes at the customer service desk, we explained that we didn't appreciate being harassed, followed to the car, and accused of not paying or stealing items by the implication that we would take a receipt out of the trash. I have the receipt right here in my hand, showing the last 4 digits of the card that I used to pay for it, that has my name on it, and my ID showing my name. Or do you want to tell me I got all that out of the trash as well? Naturally we were pretty upset, and our concerns not being heard caused the conversation to become a little heated. The two of them became very confrontational and told us to leave the store and that we're not welcome back. We have been supporters of Whole Foods for over 20 years and have never had such a poor experience. This matter deserves to be investigated further, and the associated employees should be held accountable for their poor, accusatory, and aggressive treatment of paying customers.

Very unfortunate. The managment definitely has a bad history and there no point of even trying to complain to this location. I love all the other locations but coddingtowns consistency is horrible. The roasted garlic bread is barley ever available. I was told to come back day after day to be rudely told they didn't have it and when they finally did I asked if they could put it aside and was told no. I've never heard of a bakery telling you no for putting a product aside for you. Finally got the bread and it's burnt. All the garlic inside is burnt and taste horrible.
