This is a large liquor, beer, and wine Warehouse; somewhat similar the old Liquor Barns, although more personal and individual. Both selection and pricing is excellent. It's a fine place for buying liquor and beer. The problem: it's WAY TOO WARM in that building for fine wine. I went in a few days ago (Aug 2025) and it was at least 75° inside this wine retailer. The A/C system is obviously inadequate for a building that large with ~22 ft ceilings. It was so warm inside, they had an old swamp cooler blowing in the back toward the office desks. It's too bad, the wine selection is exceptional. Their wine buyer (Barry) is one of the best in the business.

I've been going here for over 40 years. If you want selection, reasonable pricing and knowledgeable service, there's
NO BETTER PLACE IN SONOMA COUNTY OR THE GREATER REDWOOD EMPIRE.
I have never been disappointed or not given excellent service. You will not get the same selection anywhere else.
Thank you Bottle Barn. You have never let me down.

Liz and the team at Bottle Barn provided the beer, wine, and liquor for our wedding. They were knowledgeable about selection and how much we should provide, and they had a very wide range of options. They also delivered everything directly to the venue (for an additional but fair fee). All around it was a huge stress relief to have them there to do that! I wish they would accept returns of what we had leftover, but they were very clear about that upfront. If you're getting married in the Napa area I would highly recommend sourcing from them!

The inventory was great. The bottle was shipped and arrived fast and as promised, with great packaging and communication. I'm reviewing their performance, not the product itself, as I haven't had a chance to try it yet. Hopefully, the product is as good as their service.

Love the bottle barn, great prices and massive selection. One small complaint and the reason for only 4 stars: I’ve consistently had younger lady cashiers that seem to lack any form of polite social manners. Here’s how it goes: I walk up to an empty cash register. Cashier looking at their phone, no eye contact no acknowledgment of me as a person. No words spoken, no hi, no hello, now how are you? No “did you find everything you were looking for. Nada, zip, nothing. Fiddle with the cash register a bit, still no eye contact. Now I get the first words “45$ and 63 cents”. Not a good experience for me. I get it, you are young you hate the world and your job. Here is a tip, when you treat others with decency and respect you may yourself feel decently and respectable. Management at Bottle Barn, maybe hold a staff meeting and offer a bit of training on how to greet customers. Here are some good training ideas to roleplay: customer walks up with products to purchase: Say to the customer 1. Hello 2. How are you today? 3. Hi. 4. Did you find everything you were looking for? 5. How has your day been. 6. Hey 7. Will this be everything? Small social niceties like these in greeting to paying customers are an effective way to ensure the customers continue to want to patronize the establishment.

The Bottle Barn is one of Sonoma County's largest stockists of artisan cider. The buyer, Joe, is very knowledgeable and offers a wide selection of our local ciders as well as many favorites from across the West Coast, the other end of the country, and even Europe.
Currently, they are stocking cider made by 10 of the 17 producers we will be pouring at the Craft Cider Tent at the 2024 Gravenstein Apple Fair. In addition to the larger producers (Ace, Golden State, Humboldt, Gowan's), they have lots of smaller-batch ciders (Bardos, Dutton, Ethic, Horse and Plow, Tilted Shed, and Lassen).
I found several other favorites from around the US and the UK: Art+Science (OR), Eve's Cidery (NY), Farnham Hill (NH), and Eden (VT), as well as Oliver's Cider and Little Pomona from England.
They also have a section of non-alcoholic ciders (Tilted Shed, Golden State, and one other well-known producer, but now I can't remember which it was).
I'm willing to bet that anyone can find a cider they like at the Bottle Barn. There's a huge amount of diversity there: sweet, fruity ciders to bone-dry, clean to funky, wild yeast ferments vs. cultured yeast, and many barrel-aged ciders. They have bottle conditioned, pét-nat, methode traditionelle, and force-carbonated.
