First let me say that I love this crew who works here but they are NOT enforcing the mask requirements. Twice this week I've seen it and mentioned it. They seem to be intimidated by the men who are doing this. Get your act together Chevron. People are getting sick out here.

This location has consistently had credit card skimmers randomly installed on the pumps for the last 5 years. They are not on there all time but there is a crew working this location. I have had my card skimmed 4 times in the past. I was not sure if it was Chevron or 7-11. The only 2 places I used my credit card at. I had my suspicions about Chevron because I work late nights in the city and have to drive by this location between 12am and 4am a few times a week. So I got a new credit card and only used it at this location. Within 6 hours of my getting gas there, unauthorized charges started hitting my account. When I got gas it was around 1230 AM and there were several people getting gas and a couple guys over by the air and water station. I honestly thought nothing of it until the next morning when I got a call from my credit card company about the charges. So these 2 guys had the hood up on their too fast too furious car, and both were sitting in the front seats and their attention was on their phone and tablet. I remember this because as I pulled in the guy on the passenger side looked up at me and started mean mugging me. I had just got back from the city and was not in the mood for anyone's BS. So I mugged him back. I went to pull up to the pump island that is closest to the store side. My tank is on the left so I went to the right side of the island. Both pumps had red plastic out of order bags on them. I had to go to the pumps closer to Hwy 12. I got out to gas up but noticed that the door that the receipt printer is, was cracked open. I thought maybe a worker left it open and I tried to close it. You needed a key to turn the lock to close it. So I went to the next pump. As I was filling up I decided to look over at the guy that was mean mugging me. I filled my tank up and washed all my windows and was looking in their direction the entire time. Not once did they look up. Other people were in and out getting gas. At the time I thought these two guys were just some lames posting on social media or something. I am positive these two guys were skimming credit card info with a bluetooth skimmer. This allows them to not have to touch the skimmer once it is in place. All the info is sent straight to their devices. Some people that read this will think I am making this all up. I assure you that I am not and I have video and pictures from the past 3 years. After I got skimmed and knew it was at this location that I got skimmed, I decided to do something about it. I did try to talk to a guy that said he was the manager and when I told him about the skimmers on the pumps. He called me a liar and said that he knows for a fact there are no skimmers. I asked him how he knew there was no skimmers. His response "Because I personally checked all the pumps myself 2 weeks ago" At this point we started arguing and almost got in a fight. I called everyday and went down there to try and talk to someone in charge down there. I just got the runaround and got nowhere. I went out of my way anytime I was near that location late at night and took pictures and video of shady stuff going on there late at night after the store is closed. For the people that do not believe me, all I ask is that when you go there or drive by there after the store closes, keep and eye out for the red plastic out of order bags on the pumps. This is done to funnel you over to the pumps with skimmers on them. Also look at the area where your put your credit card in as well as the area where your receipts print out. I have so many pictures and video of out of order gas pumps that anyone can see that someone that works there is in on it. There is no other gas station I have seen that has that many out of order gas pumps every night. EVERY NIGHT! The only reason I am posting this review now is to start showing the public all of the evidence I have. Starting with my visit there tonight when the store was still open. Pump 7, had an unsecured receipt printer door that was held shut with

Reasonable location and price for gas, never too busy, only hard thing is getting back onto the highway if that's where you want to go, but at that point blame the other drivers, not the place itself.

These are some of the nicest and friendliest people at the counter inside the station. The people at this busy location make sure to greet you with a smile and are ready to help with anything extra for your next automobile destination. When I was a kid growing up in the 1980's in Santa Barbara county I fondly remember a few old places like this where my dad would take me for a fill-up, old time pit stops for gas with great customer service and pride. So it's a bit of nostalgia every time I stop by for gas and a little something extra inside the station right here in Rincon Valley. The pride and customer service is that good. Plus, I always see the hard working women of this station wearing a Chevron baseball cap while tidying up and cleaning the grounds, making sure the windshield wash fluid is full, paper towels are stocked, and garbage cans are not too full at each of the islands. That's why I like coming to this station, thank you.

This Chevron is always clean, the windshield-cleaning supplies are always stocked, and the squeegee water clean. Price is on par with other Chevrons, pretty pricey. But it's one of two gas stations in this part of Santa Rosa and it's the closest to most of the schools in that area. The workers are always friendly. I don't like how the sign for credit/debit cards is not lit and not overly visible. It's a bit misleading. The gas station can get pretty full at peak times and parking is tight.

The Mexican food here is really good, and made fast. Stop here occasionally, and usually grab some for lunch. Equipment is good shape and the staff keeps it pretty clean. Good gas prices too.

Okay, it seems hardly Yelpworthy to rate a gasoline station. Yelpers heavily focus on restaurants. I on the other hand write most of my reviews on small businesses of every kind where my review will make a difference for the better, at least that is always my intention. This Chevron station is a mini-mart, semi-fast food restaurant, and gasoline station all in one. The mini-mart is called Redwood Market and is part of a small chain of Redwood Markets around Sonoma County and farther north. The semi-fast food restaurant is called Aztec Grill and as the name implies is Mexican food oriented. The gas is from the California based, mega-company, Chevron. Redwood Market is pretty much a convenience store like 7-Eleven, only smaller. Aztec Grill is part of the Redwood Market company, and every Redwood Market has an Aztec Grill in it. I am not impressed with convenience stores and certainly not processed, frozen, junk food that is microwaved on-demand behind the cash register. In fact, I no longer believe in any type of processing of food, even for preservation, or long-term storage. Convenience in my mind is part of the seduction of technology . . . a misused bane of humanity. Fortunately, the Aztec Grill "restaurant" inside the Redwood Market that is part of the Chevron station is better than 7-Eleven, convenience stores, or other mini-mart gas station food. For one, they actually have a professional grill and take your order "for here or to go." The line cooks take their cooking seriously and the hand-made burritos are pretty decent. There are several small tables inside for eating or just taking a break from driving. But, I must say, as petrochemicals go, even though my Volvo still generates hydrocarbons, and my carbon footprint is still way too high, Chevron Supreme Gasoline with Techron has been an outstanding choice. I now have 442,000 (yes, 442 thousand) miles on my beautiful Volvo! I put all those miles on myself and all with Chevron gas. My one and only previous car, a BMW 3-series I bought new when I was 21 years old, attained over 300,000 miles before I sold it, all on Chevron Supreme. My brother still has my BMW. I tend to be a loyal customer when I find something that fits me. I like the fact that Chevron was originally a San Francisco company. Their Information Technology [IT] center used to be San Ramon when I supported IBM data centers during my IT career way back when. And, I like the Chevron theme colors and symbol (hey, I'm an artist, and I actually "feel" colors). I cannot argue with obvious results. Car with 442,000 miles all on Chevron gas = five stars, boom! Review 0153 Feel.
