I like this little place. Yes, the hours are limited, probably because of volunteer staff, and it is small, but they've reorganized the shop to maximize the space, and it's well laid out. I always find a little something here, and the staff is pleasant.

If the store's name doesn't make it obvious, this is operated by a church. It is in a small converted "vintage" home that itself is worth noting. (Maybe Luther Burbank, whose historic home is nearby, might have donated items?!) We stumbled across this store perhaps a decade ago and found a wealth of cute discounted items, only a few of which we actually bought. (Don't have a large car!) One, e.g., was a coverlet with a very cute cat design; our cats still sleep on it. Somebody thought this was a claustrophobic place. Well, duh! You can't buy what's stuffed away in a storeroom and don't see. And each time my wife and I have visited we had to cull our armloads of "treasures" before getting to the cash register. Perhaps it's genetic. My late mom loved to shop these kinds of stores. She was a seamstress and costumer for the major NYC ballet companies and found lots of these stores around the country. With her eye for design and construction, she bought excellent blouses and skirts (etc.) that the dancers and staff loved; they demanded to know where the stores were. She told us she always felt abashed, thinking she'd be exposed as a tightwad (she saved her money to buy her kids presents!) so finally she came up with "Oh, it's just from my favorite boutique" and that seemed to defuse the demands for her to disclose. She'd have loved this thrift store even tho its clothing section isn't as large as, say, Goodwill's. Tomorrow we're going to Santa Rosa (we live in SF) and this shop of treasures is on the list, as it is on each of our visits to Santa Rosa. I almost feel saintly telling you: Go! Shop! Enjoy! It's my mom's favorite....

This place is OK. But it is super small and claustrophobic. Not to mention limited hours. Didn't find anything and probably won't be going back. There's a very nice knife store across the street that was worth visiting.

The other reviews are rather old, so I thought it was time for a newer one. This is an interesting thrift store, much heavier in household and decorative items than clothing, but they do have the latter as well. It is run by cheerful volunteers from the neighboring Church of the Incarnation, of which it is a part. Well worth checking out!

This is a small store but it's surprising how much they have when you get inside. You can usually find a really good deal. I'm a guy & most of the things there are womens. They do have mens clothes - I purchase there and I've been happy with what I've found. Check them out - they're very easy to find on Mendocino Avenue just south of College Ave in downtown Santa Rosa. they support The Living Room - a daytime shelter for homeless women and children - so by going there you can help others at the same time you help yourself.

This volunteer-run shop supports The Living Room, a day program of the Church of the Incarnation for homeless women and children. I've been there when the manager loaded up a Macy's bag full of sheets, towels, and clothing for a woman needing to stock a new apartment -- and didn't charge her. The used selection is small but tasteful and well presented, and whenever I can stop by during the limited hours (10 a.m. - 2 p.m. weekdays), I usually find something. They also get occasional selections of new items such as pashmina scarves and jewelry. The prices can't be beat, even though it's as if you're raiding the closets of the Episcopal ladies, plus the volunteer staff is very nice. Quality items; great prices; social conscience ... every incentive to shop here.
