This is to serve the 40 million people that read my reviews on Google maps... The good: Thos is a huge Home Depot store with a great selection. In this part of Santa Rosa, this seems to be the only game in town (that I know of). The bad: Customer service in almost every department is absolutely atrocious. Everyone seems to be on pins and needles. You can feel the tense atmosphere minutes after you walk in. They look at every man in here as a thief. I've seen people of color gets harassed, ignored and treated badly by the staff here. They have no respect for customers. So bad that you feel uncomfortable watching all of it. Is this a Home Depot in California or a Home Depot in the old Apartheid South Africa? I fault this sad situation to the store manager and his leadership team's attitudes and values -- which might be cascading down to workers at this store.

So, I needed to purchase a new toilet. I checked Lowe's and Home Depot and decided on Home Depot. I found one I like on the website and it said it was $199.00 because of a special purchase. Normally $249.00. So I get it on a cart and head up to the cashier with a box of 10d nails for another project. The toilet rings up at $249. I said"no, it's on sale for $199 and showed them the web page. The cashier says "Oh, that's the web page. It's different than the store." What? I didn't argue with the cashier, because where is that going to get me. So I went to customer service. Customer service goes trying to tell me the same thing. I requested to speak to a manager. Customer service says "Let me see if I can match Lowe's price." I said "How about you see if you can match your own price!" as they continued on to check Lowe's web page. Finally a manager gives them the ok to give it to me for $199. Jo this took me over 20 minutes including waiting n the customer service line. I still requested to speak to a manager. After about 10 minutes "Maria", who is wearing an apron just like the cashiers, comes over and tells me the same thing and tries to tell me it is an online price and the website isn't connected to the Home Depot stores. I asked her to show me where it said it is an online price and she couldn't, so she is making that shit up while she is talking to me. I asked if the website isn't connected with the store, why does it say Santa Rosa store and give me the quantity they have on hand as well as the aisle and bay number where to find it? No, I'm pissed off now. Why do I have to spend 20 to 30 minutes trying to get their advertised price on a product? The website and store are obviously connected. It shows stock on hand and exactly where to find it. I think this qualifies as false advertising and I'll be following up with upper management or corporate and sharing my story with the public. It's wrong!

Jeremy at Santa Rosa Home Depot has helped us out twice: once with plumbing and another time with getting keys made. But I'm sure he's not limited to that. He seems to be a very capable guy. What really stood out is that went out of his way each time to make sure we got what we were looking for. He didn't just point us in the right direction of a part. He made our task, his task. He was also knowledgeable, efficient, polite, and friendly. But it really stood out that he went the extra mile and invested himself in making sure our project, whatever it was, was a success. Thanks for going the extra mile Jeremy!

I went to Home Depot to buy plantation shutters for my windows. I found out that a company named Rockwood in Houston is the one that makes and installs the shutters. I paid almost $4000 and several weeks later on the day when Rockwood told me to stand by from 1 PM to 5 PM, at the last minute Rockwood told me that they lost my shutters and had no clue what happened to them. That was two days ago! Until this very day, I still do not know what happened to my plantation shutters. I called Home Depot and sent all the paperwork from Rockwood including my receipts yesterday and I still have not received any results from Home Depot. HOME DEPOT MUST KNOW THAT THEY ARE PARTNERING WITH A BUNCH OF CROOKS AT ROCKWOOD. HOME DEPOT NEEDS TO CHECK OUT THE POOR REVIEWS FROM CUSTOMERS ABOUT ROCKWOOD. ROCKWOOD IS A TERRIBLE COMPANY WITH TONS OF BAD REVIEWS FROM THEIR DISAPPOINTED CUSTOMERS.

I have had a unexpected challenges in completing a front porch project due to incorrect product, insufficient product, and lack of response from my original provider. I went into Home Depot and was immediately helped by an employee to locate my options in the store. He then introduced me to Tammy Stephens, one of the Pros. She walked me through design options and gave me her card to have my contractor send her the measurements. It could not have been an easier or more enjoyable process, especially after having this project drag out over a month. I would highly recommend this store and working with its Pros. They operate with integrity, communicate clearly, and deliver on what they commit to doing. THANK YOU!!!!

We went Christmas Eve and hour before closing and found the employees to be incredibly helpful. Everyone from appliances - helping us find an order from March figure out what next steps were for our fridge, to windows - helping us learn what to look for in replacing a window, and a few other random things we had to do as newbie Home depot shoppers. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Thank you!

Long time Home Depot Customer. I Probably spent between 30 and $50,000 with Home Depot this year. Today i walked into the Santa Rosa store looking for a few items. I had done some online research and it showed that one of my items ( an Rv extension cord) was available to pick up in the store. When I got there, I the item was out of stock so i asked an associate just to make sure i hadn't missed it. He proceeded to give me a lecture from the associate in the next department over that pick up in the store doesn't mean pick up in the store, it means order it And then pick up in store when it arrives.... Ok no biggie but after configuring what i needed to make it myself i went up to the check out where at least 7 or 8 associates stood talking and ask for help in electrical. She was nice and told me she would get some buddy over there to help me and I went back to work for the parts that I was needing. Of course, nobody showed up and after getting frustrated I just walked off to look for the next item I was looking for. I walked up to associate in the lumber department and asked the young man if he could tell me where i might find butcher block counter tops. He looked up and replied " im not sure" and went about doing what he was doing. I think its time i find a new source for my Home Improvement needs.

I live in Eureka and shop at Home Depot when I am passing through town. I purchased three exhaust fans on 3/1/23. I tried to return one on 9/7/23 and was refused because the time to return merchandise had passed. The box was unopened and not damaged. When I asked to speak to a manager I was told "it won't do any good". The same day, 9/7/23, I returned merchandise at Lowe's that I purchased on 3/1/23. No problem. Since I live out of town it is obvious that I will be shopping at Lowe's as they are more accommodating.

Mario and several other employees tonight were so very very helpful and I really appreciated their efforts.. I went into the garden center at 7:30 PM where there were two women working but "their cash register was closed.".Neither of them could help me find the soil I needed to plant some cedar trees After I waited 20 minutes for them, they told me to go to the very front of the store and ask somebody. Of course no one at the front registers knew what kind of soil to use to plant cedar trees so I took a guess and asked Mario to load the soil. I read the bag and it said it was only for vegetables and flowers. Even though the Home Depot's website said the soil was good for trees, specifically conifers Still no one showed up in nursery. The folks are doing the best they can at the store however, management really needs to take a look at hiring at least one knowledgeable person in nursery, and make sure that they're actually in nursery. The manager on duty at 7:30 at night September 12 on a Tuesday didn't know how to help me either and when I asked her to call her manager to hopefully let management know there is a problem in nursery between at least 7:30 PM to 10 o'clock closing time that no one is in the nursery and if they were, there's no knowledgeable person there who knows anything about their own soil inventory. Finally one of the employees a very nice man suggested I look up what kind of pH I need so that we didn't burn the trees. After I walked out to the parking lot, got in my car and googled PH of soil for cedar trees I returned to the store, where I found Mario again who told me the soil that he loaded before was a 6.5. Perfect! Mario, very patiently reloaded the eight bags of soil and kindly loaded them into my car. I can't say enough about Mario and the several other folks who tried to help me. However, when I spoke with the September 12, Tuesday night, manager there, she didn't know either. And she wasn't at all interested in letting management know about the deficiency in the nursery center. So the problem will just continue and unfortunately I will never go to the store again. The lack of knowledge I find at the store consistently. If I go to the Windsor Home Depot, I always get the right knowledgeable customer service. Mario, you should seriously consider transferring to the Windsor store and I'm sure you'll become a manager in the near future if Home Depot ever gets their stupid act together and recognizes where the talent is.

I ordered product for pick up at the Santa Rosa store. the cashier was good , he called for help to retrieve my item, the clerk came up with attitude towards the cashier, I was already not liking this kid's attitude. The cashier asked to wait, and he proceeded to go break. ( Understandably). As I waited 10 min , I recognized the kid with the attitude walking around as if he had nothing to . I waited another 10min. 20 in total b4 I approached the kid while he was enjolying a Beverage if he had seen my product, he proceeded to ask me with attitude , who I was? As I was ready to reply, the head cashier ( who was amazing) , also asked the kid I he knew where my order was. The clerk responded by saying it wasn't his job to alert anyone in front of when he brings product to the front, it was the cashier's responsibility To be alert eno to just know. Absolutely the worst CUSTOMER service experience EVER ANYWHERE.

Can I make it less than one? Our recent delivery experience was terrible. I DO NOT RECOMMEND DELIVERY! 1) Order was promised today at filling cart but was tomorrow when paying. 2) Failed to deliver anyway so we had to call. 3) Was informed that the re-delivery would not contain our full order, even though all the material was available at nearby HDs. 4) No, they won't go get the short material. 5) Yes, they will charge us for delivery anyways. JUST DON'T USE THEM! I'm going to Lowe's and Ace from now on.

They have good prices on concrete but I waited for almost 45mins to get loaded with one concrete pallet! I was told to have someone in the contractor sales yard help load it but there were literally no people at all there for a half hour. The Rohnert Park home depot was crazy busy and they had me loaded very promptly the week before. Definitely a headache

On 10/23/2020 I went to purchase a refrigerator from Homedepo Santa Rosa Ca. Being a Veteran, I was under the impression that Homedepo gave its Veterans a 10 percent discount on items purchased at their store. When I pulled out my retired military ID, the sales clerk stated the 10 percent did not apply because the item was on sale. Well if it's on sale, everyone on the planet gets the same price as I do. They would not accept giving me 10 percent off. My point is, quit lying to the Veterans out there. I cut up my Homedepo credit card. It's obvious the store can care less about the Veterans that served. Quit using the 10 percent off for Veterans as this is false advertisement. You should be ashamed of this company. Veterans, Please do not shop at the Homedepo. Shop at a place where you will get the respect you deserve Sincerely. A true Veteran.

I bought a 5 gallon bucket of paint from this location and when I got home they had never mixed my color in. I live 3 hours away and had a crew of people standing by to help complete the project. When I called to inform them about the mistake the woman was rude and unhelpful. The manager who over saw the incident was Jeremiah Smith. I would have been a lot more understanding if they were willing to fix their mistake.

Never again! We bought a nice South Shore bedframe, and the company should be informed that HomeDepot handled the product so badly that it was ruined by saturated oil, leaving the load bearing base as broken. We spent 2 hours of terrible customer service looking for the second part, which was ruined, then they wanted me to pay $70 for return, even after seeing the photos! This HomeDepot location made clear that they have no concern for customers. Guess they don't need our money. And i got friends......
