I've been trying to get Kenwood to come and do a repair on a gate for over a month, and haven't been able to get anyone to come out or even return calls. I'm done with them. They did a good job building my fence and gate, but can't get them to even look at a repair job.

I brought in an Occidental Leather drill holster that I bought here two weeks back, and the clipping that holds the top of the drill in place broke. I talked to Louis about what I should do and they took it down to Occidental to get it fixed, and I had it back at the end of the day, no charge. Thank you guys very much!!

They were one of the several companies we contacted for quotes on our fence project. They were also the only company to "no show" us for our appointment. I called to confirm the appointment time the morning of and they still never showed up. This seems to be there MO.

Con Hart redwood was recommended by Kenwood Lumber employees for the specific job of replacing old deck boards. I was told by Kenwood that the Con Hart redwood was what everyone uses for decks. I was also told it should hold up for 20 years or more. Boards were delivered in December 2013. Some boards were rejected due to inconsistant moisture and were replaced by Kenwood. By May 2014 (5 months from purchase) many boards were cracking and splintering some all the way through. I contacted Kenwood Lumber and they requested I sent photos. I sent the photos right away and was told by the employee I was working with that this was definitely not normal and that they had other issues with the Con Hart Redwood recently. I was told that she would show the owner the photos and get back to me right away. Almost a month later no one had returned my call. I again contacted the employee that I previously spoke to and she seemed frustrated and was going to have the owner contact me. After several more calls to Kenwood I was given the owners phone number. When I finally spoke with the owner Rick he said it was not his issue because his employees did not install the boards. I requested that the damaged boards be replaced and I would pay for the labor again myself. I was told that they do NOT inspect the wood they sell and deliver. Just to be clear Rick agreed that this was not an installation issue, he insisted that we should have noticed hairline cracks and not installed the wood they delivered. The deck looked amazing when it was completed but over the summer it has continued to crack and splinter. The bottom line is that Kenwood Lumber does NOT stand behind the product they sell and we are stuck with deck that is unsafe.

Great shop hidden on a backstreet in Santa Rosa, just a few turns off the freeway. Angel and Matt both provided excellent customer service to me and my mother-in-law. We arranged for her to pay for something over the phone and I would pick it up when I passed through SR on my way to her house. They made the process super easy and smooth. The store was clean and well organized and their bathroom was available to customers (rare for a hardware store) and clean. Thanks guys!
