They really did some upgrade work to the exterior of the building, and the end result is a beautiful facade that really blends in well with, and augments, the downtown Santa Rosa landscape. The head architect in charge of the renovations must have put together a beautiful presentation in order to earn the right to put their stamp of approval on this project. Additionally, the related blueprints that were approved by upper level management to allow the project to move forward really must have struck a chord with the decision-makers. They have a shaded parking lot that is monitored by a security guard. He's doing a wonderful job every day that he has a shift. I think he took a picture of me for his files, so that's satisfying and illustrious. Luther Burbank was a superior gardener, and he cultivated a wide assortment of beautiful flora for all to enjoy. Soak it up, Santa Rosa!

Very rude employees with the expertise for providing zero customer service. I now have no choice but to stop using my checking account altogether because my deposits are depleted and where I'm now there are no physical branches to deposit either cash or checks. Terrible, inexperienced staff, management, and employees are not of any help with their so-called online banking issues. To speak candidly, I'm dumbfounded by how this bank's CEO, VIPS, and district managers having knowledge of their poor zero customer service issues are not concerned enough to have a corporate hotline set up for consumers to seek help!

Called twice this year, left my question and phone number. No return call, I have been banking with them for a decade, something is wrong there.

This is not the bank to use for daily minor actions such as paying your elec bill. They are great at Placing money in a safe place with good ratesAnd promotions. I always receive special attention for anything I need when I need it!I feel like they know me when I find it necessary to go in and thy get the job done. A special shout out for Juan Villasrnor in Long Beach....very sharp young man ...makes you feel like you have a personal banker.

Forced to work with them when I took over a trust after a death in the family. Rarely do they have the person on site to answer anything but the most basic questions. Had to go in-person multiple times, disorganized, appointments canceled after a long drive. When you call you get a voice mail. Individual people are nice. Issue seems to be they are working in a 1990’s tech environment.

My husband and I are seniors in Oakmont and my husband has been mostly homebound for the past 4 years so we depend on phone contact. We had thought about moving our checking and savings accounts starting many years ago when LBS moved from their more convenient location on 4th St to the other end of downtown. At the old location had very nice account managers who sat in the front but the 2 tellers were often unpleasant. Originally started at LBS because had highest interest rates on their savings accounts of any bank. We tried US Bank in E Santa Rosa for a year and it had the worst service by the most incompetent young foreign tellers who were always busy with someone else or they only had one in the bank working with long lines, and both the tellers and the account managers were extremely slow and not very knowledgeable, except for the only woman in the bank who was the branch manager who was very pleasant and helpful, unlike all young men with heavy foreign accents who held every other position. They had the worst phone messaging system - put us on hold for up to an hour and the teller answered the phone with such a strong foreign accent, could hardly understand what he was saying.LBS seemed much superior at that time. A year or so ago thought they had improved with a very nice and helpful woman branch manager and assistant manager who called us on the phone and even sent us their business cards in the mail, but reaching anyone in the bank changed suddenly a few months ago. I spoke to the branch manager recently and she said that they had a serious problem with their phone messaging system which took a few months to correct. Also she was unaware that none of my emails would go thru except to the general email address on their online website and no one responded to them - she said that she would check into the problem. I found that I could go online first and call the phone number linked to our online account, and I was able to get someone at the branch who could help us right away.

Horrible bank. Constantly charging extra fees, with an antiquated online banking system that is totally unfriendly to the user. The employees are largely rude and disinterested with their "shareholders" no matter how much money is sitting in their accounts. I try to help my elderly mother deposit (not withdraw) checks and they won't honor a written/notarized power of attorney. Avoid this place, I expect it will fail soon due to a striking lack of interest in providing quality customer service.

I've used this Savings Bank for many years. Its High End Savings account has no fees and free checking. It does require a sizable deposit, but they pay a very competitive interest rate on your money. Unlike a typical bank, they don't drain your account with "fees", month after month. Today I got a call. They paid my check to the DMV for my car registration renewal at the beginning of June. The DMV has submitted the check for payment a second time. The bank wanted to know if I had authorized that which, of course, I hadn't. So we stopped payment on the attempt to collect twice. The DMV is in total disarray and I may never get my renewal but I have proof from Luther Burbank that I paid for it. Let the DMV try to sue me!

I have never been in this bank till today. Thought I'd check it out, this will be my last visit! I walk in, the Teller asks if she can help me, so far so good.,I spot their brochures and tell her, as I pick one up, "this us what I'm looking for". She gives me a "look" like "why"? I ignore the look and sit down in one of the uncomfortable chairs that are suppose to look office chic. All of a sudden I hear, "hello". "Hello". I turn my head in the direction of the voice and there's another Teller asking if she can help me. I give her the same answer as I did the first teller. She also looks at me like I've invaded the place. Neither of them had the polite business sense to say, "if you have any questions I'll be glad to help." If you don't want "us" to "learn" about your bank, don't sit out brochures and at least act like "we" may be potential customers in the future, if not today even, but with this kind of service, I'm outta here!!

Really archaic bank. Takes forever to get a payoff demand, when almost all other banks have it automatic and instantaneous online. Also, never get a commercial loan from them, even though no late payments ever, you must requalify for the same loan each year or they threaten foreclosure! There should be a law against this.
