I like the no-contact delivery and the ability to keep track of my own items. There are scammers posing as movers and PODS eliminates the risk of that.

If it could go wrong it has. I ordered Pods to act as a moving van. That has proven to be one of the biggest mistakes of my life. The added expense from their mistakes and refusal to take any responsibility for any of them, while simultaneously coming up with a multiplicity of different ways attempting to make it my fault they double charged me. This has been going on for 6 months and has created 30k in debts for me to survive. Caveat Emptor.

So far, "not good". For a long distance move from Petaluma to Tacoma, I scheduled 3 months in advance. For $3200 it's worth it compared to moving companies or having to drive it up myself even though I will have to wait for 10 days to get my stuff. Or so I thought. I live in an apartment complex so finding space to have the POD delivered was challenging but I figured it out and PAID to have same day drop and delivery. Morning drop off window 7:30-10:30am, pick up after 3pm. I called TWICE to confirm, "Morning drop off?", "Yes ma'am" "I have to have this thing gone by this afternoon, I paid extra to make sure, I can load it fast, it will be dropped off in the morning and picked up today? Everyone's coming in the morning to help me load...." "Yes ma'am, between 7:30-10:30am" NO MA'AM Confirmation email last night says drop off 1pm-4pm. I called customer service, "Oh, yeah it won't dropped off until 1-4pm and it won't be picked up today because the local facility closes at 4 and they only come to your area Monday, Wednesday and Friday. So it's going to sit there for two days." WHAT?!?! So now I'm waiting for local facility to open, because customer service can't reach them due to the time difference. And an already stressful situation is now an epic mess because despite all my careful efforts, planning, communication and payments, 11th hour changes by a company that clearly doesn't have it together or doesn't care, or both maybe. I may now have to rent a truck load it, drive to the storage facility, unload the truck and load the POD, REALLY?!?!? I have ZERO confidence when and how I will get my stuff on the other end. Wish me me luck and rent a truck and move it yourself. Looks like I'm going to have to do it anyway.

When I chose to use pods, I was told three things on the phone. 1. That my move would cost $1000 all in. I confirmed this number three times. No extra charges? No. No other fees? No. $1000 is the entire total? Yes. 2. That I would not be charged immediately. I also confirmed this three times. I won't be charged today? No sir, you won't be charged for several days. So not today? No sir, not for three days at least. 3. That I would receive an email with further details. I spelled out my email address letter by letter. It should come as no surprise that none of these things were true. I was charged immediately for $2500 and I was sent no update email. I later found out that the move would have cost at least $3,200, they didn't record my email address correctly. They set pickup dates that I never confirmed and were logistically impossible for the company. I cancelled my PODS order a few days ago, but I've yet to receive a refund. At this point, I'd say it's clear that PODS is engaging in straight up fraud. Stay far far away.

Getting a competitive move quote that isn't a scam or doesn't feel like a scam is difficult and managing all the timelines of a cross country move I'd beyond stressful. PODS was reliable, competitive and timely. I am grateful. Please note that you do need to be able to pack. load and unpack your things. Doing this well is an actual skill.

We were left high and dry by our original moving company the week of our move and were in a very tough situation. We were moving from Chicago to California. Luckily POD's and their fantastic customer service were able to help us. They were caring and compassionate of our situation. They were able to get us scheduled for that same week at half the price of the other moving companies. The driver in Chicago was a legend. He helped us load up our container and he organized everything for us when he didn't have to do anything. We had our POD loaded in less that 2 hours. They arrived on time, dropped our POD off at our new location on the exact date and time and picked it up on time as well. Couldn't recommend POD's any more. They were amazing to deal with and made moving much less painful.

We used pods.com to store the contents of a few rooms during a renovation. Our stuff was in the pod for 6 months. Everything was seamless. I'd do it again!

My first PODS use was for storage of nearly all my stuff between house rentals. I loved the flexibility of being able to move the PODS to wherever my next place would be. Was a bit anxious about whether contents would shift to block the door, and about breakage. But no issues at all! I even found the key to the lock without a problem! Have since recommended this service multiple times and re-used myself.

Very happy with Kris Stone, the driver. I wanted the container to the left in my driveway, but the website diagram didn't allow me to be specific, although in December it did let me select. So I left a note for the driver as I would be at the dentist. Kris called me an hour prior and when I returned home, fingers crossed it was to the left, it was PERFECTLY placed. Thanks Kris!

Good company and service, but BEWARE ... they never told me that the city of Boulder, CO does not allow containers on the street. They told me that dropping it off in the alley of my residence would be fine. But the drive said he could not get in, so I had to hire another moving service which added more than $800 to my costs and lots of headache.

This was the best option financially and in terms of convenience when we relocated. We had to spend a month in temporary housing in between selling one home and buying another, and the POD was so easy. The biggest plus was the ease of being able to take as long as we wanted to load the POD. We could pack at night and on the weekends. With kids and an elderly family member, the ease of packing once and unloading once, while bouncing around temporary housing, was invaluable.

When I initially spoke with the person about moving to Indiana they told me they would deliver to anywhere in indiana. When it came time to actually deliver the pod they would not deliver it to crown point indiana. Because of this I had to pay for movers and a moving truck to unload the pod at it's storage location. So because I used pods I had to move all my items twice.

Great price. Easy delivery and in time. Clean container. Only had an issue with prearranged delivery setup did not happen and delayed delivery due to a driver shortage.
