I have had a unexpected challenges in completing a front porch project due to incorrect product, insufficient product, and lack of response from my original provider. I went into Home Depot and was immediately helped by an employee to locate my options in the store. He then introduced me to Tammy Stephens, one of the Pros. She walked me through design options and gave me her card to have my contractor send her the measurements. It could not have been an easier or more enjoyable process, especially after having this project drag out over a month. I would highly recommend this store and working with its Pros. They operate with integrity, communicate clearly, and deliver on what they commit to doing. THANK YOU!!!!

We went Christmas Eve and hour before closing and found the employees to be incredibly helpful. Everyone from appliances - helping us find an order from March figure out what next steps were for our fridge, to windows - helping us learn what to look for in replacing a window, and a few other random things we had to do as newbie Home depot shoppers. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Thank you!

Long time Home Depot Customer. I Probably spent between 30 and $50,000 with Home Depot this year. Today i walked into the Santa Rosa store looking for a few items. I had done some online research and it showed that one of my items ( an Rv extension cord) was available to pick up in the store. When I got there, I the item was out of stock so i asked an associate just to make sure i hadn't missed it. He proceeded to give me a lecture from the associate in the next department over that pick up in the store doesn't mean pick up in the store, it means order it And then pick up in store when it arrives.... Ok no biggie but after configuring what i needed to make it myself i went up to the check out where at least 7 or 8 associates stood talking and ask for help in electrical. She was nice and told me she would get some buddy over there to help me and I went back to work for the parts that I was needing. Of course, nobody showed up and after getting frustrated I just walked off to look for the next item I was looking for. I walked up to associate in the lumber department and asked the young man if he could tell me where i might find butcher block counter tops. He looked up and replied " im not sure" and went about doing what he was doing. I think its time i find a new source for my Home Improvement needs.

I live in Eureka and shop at Home Depot when I am passing through town. I purchased three exhaust fans on 3/1/23. I tried to return one on 9/7/23 and was refused because the time to return merchandise had passed. The box was unopened and not damaged. When I asked to speak to a manager I was told "it won't do any good".The same day, 9/7/23, I returned merchandise at Lowe's that I purchased on 3/1/23. No problem. Since I live out of town it is obvious that I will be shopping at Lowe's as they are more accommodating.

Mario and several other employees tonight were so very very helpful and I really appreciated their efforts.. I went into the garden center at 7:30 PM where there were two women working but "their cash register was closed.".Neither of them could help me find the soil I needed to plant some cedar trees After I waited 20 minutes for them, they told me to go to the very front of the store and ask somebody. Of course no one at the front registers knew what kind of soil to use to plant cedar trees so I took a guess and asked Mario to load the soil. I read the bag and it said it was only for vegetables and flowers. Even though the Home Depot's website said the soil was good for trees, specifically conifers Still no one showed up in nursery. The folks are doing the best they can at the store however, management really needs to take a look at hiring at least one knowledgeable person in nursery, and make sure that they're actually in nursery. The manager on duty at 7:30 at night September 12 on a Tuesday didn't know how to help me either and when I asked her to call her manager to hopefully let management know there is a problem in nursery between at least 7:30 PM to 10 o'clock closing time that no one is in the nursery and if they were, there's no knowledgeable person there who knows anything about their own soil inventory. Finally one of the employees a very nice man suggested I look up what kind of pH I need so that we didn't burn the trees. After I walked out to the parking lot, got in my car and googled PH of soil for cedar trees I returned to the store, where I found Mario again who told me the soil that he loaded before was a 6.5. Perfect! Mario, very patiently reloaded the eight bags of soil and kindly loaded them into my car. I can't say enough about Mario and the several other folks who tried to help me. However, when I spoke with the September 12, Tuesday night, manager there, she didn't know either. And she wasn't at all interested in letting management know about the deficiency in the nursery center. So the problem will just continue and unfortunately I will never go to the store again. The lack of knowledge I find at the store consistently. If I go to the Windsor Home Depot, I always get the right knowledgeable customer service.Mario, you should seriously consider transferring to the Windsor store and I'm sure you'll become a manager in the near future if Home Depot ever gets their stupid act together and recognizes where the talent is.

I ordered product for pick up at the Santa Rosa store. the cashier was good , he called for help to retrieve my item, the clerk came up with attitude towards the cashier, I was already not liking this kid's attitude. The cashier asked to wait, and he proceeded to go break. ( Understandably). As I waited 10 min , I recognized the kid with the attitude walking around as if he had nothing to . I waited another 10min. 20 in total b4 I approached the kid while he was enjolying a Beverage if he had seen my product, he proceeded to ask me with attitude , who I was? As I was ready to reply, the head cashier ( who was amazing) , also asked the kid I he knew where my order was. The clerk responded by saying it wasn't his job to alert anyone in front of when he brings product to the front, it was the cashier's responsibility To be alert eno to just know. Absolutely the worst CUSTOMER service experience EVER ANYWHERE.

Can I make it less than one? Our recent delivery experience was terrible. I DO NOT RECOMMEND DELIVERY! 1) Order was promised today at filling cart but was tomorrow when paying. 2) Failed to deliver anyway so we had to call. 3) Was informed that the re-delivery would not contain our full order, even though all the material was available at nearby HDs. 4) No, they won't go get the short material. 5) Yes, they will charge us for delivery anyways. JUST DON'T USE THEM! I'm going to Lowe's and Ace from now on.

They have good prices on concrete but I waited for almost 45mins to get loaded with one concrete pallet! I was told to have someone in the contractor sales yard help load it but there were literally no people at all there for a half hour. The Rohnert Park home depot was crazy busy and they had me loaded very promptly the week before. Definitely a headache

I shop here all the time. Like most stores nowadays, there's things that you like and things you don't like. I can usually find what I want here and I can usually find some help if I can.'t . I love that they stay open till 10 because most places close between eight and nine I don't know if they're ever going to you re-open the hours again because that's a pain. And I really do not like all the stores doing self-serve registers I've never like that but what can you do anyway, I go hear over and over again so I think it's fine.

By far the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life and if you check all of my reviews, most of them are five stars because if somebody at least put in the effort, I'll give them credit! Home Depot just recently fired there to phone answering girls and refused to rehire. Anybody else in their place heard directly from management.

On May 31st, we ordered a toilet from Home Depot online and were given a delivery date of Friday, June 2. I stayed home all day waiting. At 7:00 PM, an email arrived saying the delivery date had changed to Saturday. I stayed home all day waiting. At 6 something, another email. Delivery date changed to Sunday. My spouse and I took turns staying home waiting. So much for our weekend plans. Eventually, an email let me know the delivery would occur "by Monday." Today (Monday) my spouse stayed home waiting. No delivery. I have just gotten off the phone with HD customer support and found out that the toilet was returned to sender at 6:59 AM today, with no notification to us. The very nice woman I talked to apologized and said the item must have been damaged and was therefore returned to sender. She reversed the charge to my card and offered to put in the order again. I said I would do that if I was given a good discount, but she was only given permission to offer 20% off. We will be giving our business to another company and will avoid going to Home Depot ever again. We have other options. I'm giving one star only because it won't let me give it zero.

I was reminded today why you don't ask Home Depot anything. Went in because I forgot to get a wing nut and a locking washer at ace. BIG MISTAKE!!Tried asking 3 workers who in that area for a 10-32 wing nut and a 10-32 locking washer. Not hard. First kid had no idea what those were. He then got help and this new guy had no idea what those were either they then asked a third guy and he was even more confused the first 2. I said screw it and walked off. I saw the supervisor on the way out and told him what happened. He could care less. See this is why I don't support big box stores. At least when I went to ace (yes they are somewhat of a big store but also not as big as home crapo), they knew what those were. Can't wait until robots take these idiots jobs.

We have been using Santa Rosa/Windsor Home Depots ever since they built. Back in the day, you had staff that would help you find an item or even give you some great advise. NOW, just forget it. I am over 60 years old, a woman and they expect ME to climb the yellow customer ladder to pull down lumber. One time they actually moved a taller ladder so I could get the smaller one in the right spot. Not that I can not do it, but I am much slower and not as strong as I once was. The worst part, I have only gotten help once in the last year and that one man was helping me and others at the same time. All the others times, NUMERPOS staff was just standing there in the lumber area just chatting as they watch me pull lumber down from the upper racks. I have even asked for help and have not gotten it. GIVE me a break guys. I now drive to Friedman Brothers, who always have someone to check stock and help you. What happened to customer service. I worked in a large home improvement store and I would have been fired for this lack of respect.

Three employees standing around the registers. Not one takes notice of 10 customers standing in line to check out. Not one human running a cash register. I don't work there and I have no desire to be the cashier.

Hnmm maybe hire someone to answer your phones?? This store is not managed well at all. Which is a shame because of all the customer's that need to buy things. Don't even try to call. Management needs training!
