Today I got an email from every credit union stating that my signature loan had not been paid. I have it set up for automatic deductions on the third of every month. I called today to find out why they did not take out the money and their response was, they took out the money before my Social Security check went in and I asked how that was possible as my Social Security check comes in on the third well according to her, they took the money out at 1:31 AM on the third and at 1:50 AM they put in my check so only did they try to charge me a late fee, but they get to collect extra interest by not putting your check in immediately on the third. Redwood credit Union used to be one of the best banks around but lately their service is slipping badly.

Redwood credit union is prejudicial against those recieving social security income. I tried to get a credit increase on my credit card with them for 3k so I can use my card to pay a lawyers retainer fee for a divorice. I have proof I have 30k in savings and a credit score of 806 and have always paid my 1k credit card bills with them ontime in full. They denied a credit increase because I am on social security and not making enough even though they approved me for a 30k dollar car loan I choose not to use reciently. It makes no since. Now I have to go open a credit card with another lender and will most likely be moving all my money out of Redwood Credit Union

SHAME ON REDWOOD CREDIT UNION FOR THIS DISSERVICE AND ADDITIONAL STRESS AND TRAUMA. Went to a branch to get a new card because my old one wasn't working. My credit card with RCU is in good standing and I needed to use this card to pay for my dog's cremation and afterlife care. DECLINED. Called the contact center and my card is in an active status nor are there any suspected fraud transactions resulting for fraud or a warm card status. I'm just disappointed with the fact that I have an active credit card in good standing and it getting declined. If redwood credit can't cover my costs nor allow me to cover transactions especially in an urgent matter and time like this, what good comes out of my membership? Nothing. My dog died today and I cannot pay for these expenses. To make matters worse, they don't have Zelle or the option for me to advance this credit line just so I can find alternatives to make this transaction possible. The employee who helped me was great but what RCU is doing is a disservice to me and I hope no one has to go through what I am dealing with now.

I must express my disappointment with Redwood Credit Union's main office and feel compelled to share my experience with others. As a satisfied customer of my local branch, I was appalled to discover the disparity in interest rates offered by the main office compared to other banks.As of March 23, 2023, the Federal interest rate is at an impressive 5%. Despite this, Redwood Credit Union is still only offering a mere 0.15% interest on customers' accounts. For those with substantial funds, this is an unacceptable rate, and I encourage them to seek better options elsewhere.For instance, a sum of $100,000 deposited into other banks would yield an annual return of $4,000 to $5,000. Meanwhile, Redwood Credit Union would only pay out $150 for the same period. This is not only disappointing, but it is also a disservice to the hard-working customers who have entrusted their funds to the credit union.I implore Redwood Credit Union to reconsider their interest rates and provide competitive rates that reflect the current Federal interest rate. Customers deserve to be compensated fairly for their investments, and I hope that Redwood Credit Union will take action to remedy this situation.

I would like to say how very satisfied I am with the help I received today at the Cleveland Ave office. My visit was handled quickly and with great efficiency by David and Gabrielle at the reception center, the parking was great and I was in and out. Shout out to these two. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE.

It's all nice and pleasant as long as you're financially sound. Due to the pandemic, I was financially ruined. As a result, RCU revoked my "membership perks," the ability to make payments online or through the app, which forces me to pay over the phone (as I live 45 minutes away from the closest branch now), and pay the additional "convenience" fee of $10 every single month. Where is the logic in this? If I still have a relationship with you, for example, a car loan, wouldn't it be in EVERYBODY'S best interest to facilitate the easiest payment method every month? Instead, they want to construct additional barriers and make things harder for somebody who is expressedly struggling financially. RCU is just as crooked as regular Big Banks if you ask me. This is my two cents. Agree with it or not, it's illogical in my eyes and reveals the true nature of their fake smiles and niceties in person--all a facade.

A sad day that I am writing this review. I have been a member of Redwood Credit Union for 26 years. Ever since I was 16 years old and was screwed over by traditional banks. I was proud to be a member, would sing the praises of this company and even when I moved away from sonoma county and my nearest physical branch was 23 miles away and in the middle of downtown San Francisco I stayed loyal. Imagine the heartbreak that when I hit financial skids due to a car issue and took a little longer to pay back the overdraft that this bank, not a credit union anymore, decided that my loyalty didn't mean anything. Now before you trolls start commenting I have paid back ever overdraft fee this bank has issued me without complaint because I know they were all my fault. Mind you that because of close to $500 in fees is why it was difficult to be back to positive but seeing as how this bank, once again no longer a credit union, doesn't seem to care about loyalty I guess I shouldn't either. What was the catalyst of this tirade you may ask? Well talked to two employees today one told me that financial assistance turned off my OPA and them financial assistance said that my OPA is still active. So obviously someone is lying amd each department ended up pointing fingers at each other and wasting 45 min of my time. When I called back to the member service center Audi didn't seem to care that this bank was losing a customer of 26 years or that I had a grievance of being lied to by one of their associates. Such a shame that a once great institution is now just an ordinary place of business.

Everyone person who banks here and has direct deposit, is being stole from. The are liars, i was told direct deposit are dated .Which means nothing the posted date is when it arrivea. No holds are to be placed on any direct deposits.(IF YOU HAVE YHE TIME ASK FOR YOUR FUNDS BAC MINE WERE NOT THERE MY TRUST FUND HAD THEM) THIS WAS A LIE I SPOKE

Maria a support supervisor, is genuine and helpful. It shouldn't have taken so long to find out about a typo in a funds transfer on my end. I shouldn't have let my account run so low. Then came the typonese. Maria saved the day.

I had a chance to get a mortgage for a TIC from Redwood Credit Union. The team at RCU especially Diana were a pleasure to work with and showed me the Credit Union the difference. If you need a mortgage and our considering RCU, definitely talk to Diana!

RCU saves the day! I had to hustle to get a check for a loan to receive a car bought online. Between the diligent help and support of Denise Martin, Cecelia Leslie, Tracy and the Windsor branch CSR that LITERALLY handed me the check 2 minutes before closing (1:58 on a SATURDAY) they got it DONE! Way to go RCU women and the team that made this happen. This is not the first time RCU has come to the rescue for me, so I am forever loyal!

Excellent customer service and great financial institution. Used them for years, several types of loans. They are great, and go the extra mile!
