Tried to make a quick stop to cancel my accounts since I no longer needed them. (I had a loan with RCU many years ago and finally decided to go in and do so) The gentleman at the front counter, as you first walk in, seemed unpleasant when I explained what I needed to do. He sent me to the line with about 10-15 customers, UGH! Thankfully, I received a young, bubbly banker teller by the name of Madison. She was extremely kind and pleasant. I asked her if it's always this busy and she said yes, due to this RCU location being a main branch. Since my accounts weren't active for awhile she had to get an override, so I thought we'd be waiting for another employee to come over, punch a few keyboard keys and give her the ok, I was wrong. I guess it's all done electronically which I tonight was cool. Whenever I use to go into a bank, the teller would have to wait for someone to come over. Time sure has changed, you can tell when the last time I've been into the bank. I'm a person who likes to make less contact when needed. But very happy to come into contact with Madison!

My recent experience with RCU has left a very bad taste in my mouth and I can't recommend using them after what I experienced today. I recently received a change of address request for a deceased loved one a year later. A year ago they were notified of the death, accounts were closed and they were in contact with the executor who provided them with a DC. I spoke to two customer service people who were anything but sympathetic about how upsetting this could be (basic sensitivity training anyone?). Not once did they apologize for this error and this was even after I explained that they need to treat bereaved people with sensitivity (why do they need to be instructed to do that?). Even after that, all I got was a cold, insensitive response--it was like I was communicating with an unfeeling robot.

Redwood as a whole is great.This location just seems to have a tremendous amount of people in it every single day compared to the other branches.I'm assuming it's due to being the only one on that side of town.But geez. Sometimes i travel farther to a different location in order to avoid lines.

It is probably the best place to do your banking. Their programs are just straight-up better than everyone elses. All credit unions are better than big banks, and this is the best credit union. That being said, there is always a very long line here to see a teller, and they often do not have all their teller stations manned, and that annoys the hell out of me.

This Credit Union on Dutton Road in Santa Rosa always has a very long line. I only go in once in awhile to pay my car payment which I got a very low interest rate, so I'm very happy about that and the tellers are very nice and helpful.

Going to try setting up an appointment.Waited in line to be told to go to another line.Waited there for the lady to tell me there would be an hour in between me being able to open a new savings account and that I could be called to come in later. Does Redwood want business?
