A research study verifies, Safeway (every Safeway in Sonoma County) is the second most expensive grocery store after Whole Foods. Safeway is a proud consumer gouger and some prices have increased 80% since the beginning of the pandemic and have never decreased. Their online delivery service is awful with terrible fresh vegetables selected by whomever is doing the shopping. The things selected by the shopper are often ready to expire in two days like bagged carrots and lettuces If I pick an item from my rewards list and they don't have the item, I lose the reward, which is ridiculous. I only shop here because I don't have a car right now and I have no options.

absolutely rude and condescending service from checker Olivia. treated me like i was a problem just for buying a few groceries and having to do the job that she applied for. left the store feeling angry about the way i was treated. i'll look for another grocery store to shop at.

This store has a habit of selling expired products and bad produce. When I tried to return a SIXTY NINE CENT bad lime I purchased from here to the Mendocino Avenue store I was told that I had to return it to the store it was purchased from (Fourth Street). Totally ridiculous and a waste of my time. I will be taking my business elsewhere. No more Safeway or Albertson's.

Signed up for the digital discounts 6 weeks ago. So far at the self checkout it has only taken off the discount once. Recently bought 2 coupon items which should have cost a total of 5.94, but was over charged several dollars more at self checkout again. When I asked the Safeway clerk about it, he seemed to randomly take off a couple of dollars but the total amounted to 10.98. I told him the price should be 5.94. He then redid the transaction, but again charged me 10.98. I had to insist on getting the price that I should have been charged and he finally gave me the proper discount. This isn't the first time the clerk redid the transaction twice and still overcharged me by a few dollars. Unbelievable.

Came here looking for fresh cranberries on Christmas morning. No one had them. This Safeway also didn't have them, but I was really grateful they had some open hours so I could try. This store is clean and well-stocked. Good produce selection, even so close to the holiday. Everything looked fresh except maybe some of the holiday flowers, which weren't quite as nice as the Safeway on Mendocino Ave, which is where I ended up buying a couple of bouquets. Anyway, this one is conveniently located and the parking lot is easier to navigate than some of the other ones.
