Well it easy to stop in are stop back if I'm heading out are heading back from a weekend bike ride if I need something to bring on a ride are back home for dinner it's easy for me . It a little crazy with the homeless hanging around the area but they have improved it with a security guards . It as a nice produce section and prepared foods and fruits and vegetables. Never seem to have a problem with anyone are any product .

Well if you download the Safeway app you can get better deals..--and if you don't use your app and you just put in your phone number you don't get the digital deals which can add up to a lot that you lose...Sometimes it gets really crowded and you have to wait in line for a while.Keeping that in mind if you plan your trip ahead of time you can go when it's less higher volumes of people making their purchases, really wonderful staff, a Starbucks inside, and they do have restrooms. The staff in any department is quite helpful and very professional. They have all kinds of different things for any season. /stuff some of it's pretty cool.If you always use your membership number and your digital card it rocks up to help save gas but you can spend 3 to $500 in one trip if you don't use your stuff so use your coupons and your digital coupons to save as much money as you possibly can.

Trying to find a happy face or a simple human being whom is proud to have a job is just not going to happen in this store. The produce is lacking and the broccoli limp. The employees are their own click and choose to chat amongst themselves rather than, oh dare say, strike up a chat with their REAL employer. THE CUSTOMER!!The Safeway of yesteryear, when Safeway was popular, is now some big run down high priced, small selection, except for their "Select" options. Which are front and center. Still,Merchandising is slack.

They sell reasonably priced money orders. You have to watch that marked down items are charged properly.

Yet AGAIN racism from the white workers. Told me salad bar was closed yet it's not even 8 when I'm typing this. Had to ask someone else who wasn't white

The store is in a very high traffic area and does pretty well due to the fact. With that being said such high traffic but yet the meat counter is filled with almost dried meat, greying red meats and pork. The discount is mostly filled with turning greyed meats or nearly there on most days. The meat staff would rather laugh about the temps in the display stands than actually care. This makes me question Safeways butchers and their products more. Sadly this means Safeway management is not looking close enough at the staff or products on the back wall of the store. As usual stores go the front is the best and the back is mirroring of that. Hope to see this change. Since this review was posted the following week management and more senior butcher staff were observed scrutinizing over the meat section. I am glad to see they are taking a step toward looking better in the communities eyes. Hope they keep upward and not downward.

I went there a number of times over the years. Recently, I was checked out by a woman with dyed hair (I don't want to say her name, but I know it if needed) she has an overwhelming body odor and white balls in her hair (they may be spider eggs.) She has checked me out 3 times, her odor and appearance doesn't change. Is there some kind way to maybe ask her to take care of this?

I called and could not reach anyone to try to discuss this with a manager. An employee, probably a manager by the way he was dressed, violated my civil rights at about 11:15 am on Tuesday, 9/26/23 (the day I'm writing this).Safeway management has no right to discriminate against unhoused people, nor anyone else. The restroom either needs to be for everyone, or just for employees.People with big backpacks have the same basic needs as you do. Please end your hate campaign against unhoused ("homeless") people and anyone else you don't like. Please keep your restrooms open to all. I request that you advise all employees that barring unhoused people from using public restrooms is not only evil, but illegal. Thank you for cooperating in the future.

Every time I go to this store to buy artisan baguette they are out and if I ask to check if they have frozen they say they don’t! Why they don’t sell frozen bread without asking someone that seems don’t even want to go check their freezer?

clean and nice, the secondary checkout in the middle of the store is odd, but it's whatever. the butchers here are the best, they will do as much as they can to help you and seem genuinely happy to do so.

I had the absolute best Ruben sandwich made for me by a young man named Tyler today. It was so good, even though it was a busy Friday, he made sure to get all my substitutions right. He even squeezed the excess juice out of the 'kraut and made sure my sandwich was evenly toasted all around. Thanks Tyler!
